1965 was a vintage year some real tough meeting's in the World Championship what did strike me was when you mentioned Gordon Guasco.Four Australian's all lost there lives over a five year Period, Gordon,Peter Bradshaw,Jack Biggs,Geoff Curtis.

Very harsh that Danny i am a speedway fan and there are some really good people on the forum who really care about the sport.Also dont believe all the speedway family who say they dont read the forum as it means nothing believe me they do.

Can remember Kelly riding in a test match at Wimbledon in 83 he had been inactive and was rusty also i think he was on borrowed aquipment.But to see him ride made me realise how big a loss for british speedway he was when he wasn't riding over here.

I remember the Swindon V Hulll meeting very well Steve 39/39 all Kilby 14. Sigalos 15 full max from the number 6 berth ( never met Kilb) Kelly got paid 11 Holloway 4 all were third places.It was a very wet meeting indeed similar to the Mike Keen meeting where DAG got 15 another strange thing was Siggy had got his max by heat 9 no Joe Owen he did not arrive. Maybe i was doing Cookie a disservice he reached two World Final's and was a National Champion as well a real racer.In 1980 he averaged only 4.17 but in 81 he added another 4.5 points on his average some doing that.

Cant have Cook anywhere near the Shoey Bros both of them in there prime would Gobble Cook up.

Kurtz showed in the PLRC at Belle Vue that his problem is consistency one race beats Doyle by a mile then struggles in races with the likes of Lawson.Fricke for me is a class act a superb stylist Adams esc) i believe he will be a GP rider in the future.

Out of ten races Nick would come out on top a tougher rider and he can mix it with anyone.I am a big fan of Kurtz classy a different rider to Morris saying all that i rate Fricke higher than both of them.

I saw Kelly at Sheffield a few times and he was nearly unbeatable a great team rider Kelly and Shawn awesome together.At that time Sheffield had a great side to watch.Shawn!Kelly,Pete Carr,Sean the prawn Wilson great times.

I dont know what you think "A ARLOV " but Morris is at least at the level of Kurtz i like and rate both riders i would say Nick is in front at the moment just..At Swindon at home Morris has been pretty consistent for a while now can he kick on hope so going back to Kurtz i rate him Morris and Kurtz have it all to play for in 2018.

Arthur finished at Coventry he was very young when he retired aged 26/? ?? he was an exciting rider imagine he was a great sight at Odsal and The Shay.Was just checking some scores and filling in a programme from Southampton 1961 WCSemi Final round some line up Craven ,How ,Maidment,Jack Young,Broadbanks, Waterman,Chum Taylor,N.Boocock .Can you remember the meeting "BOBBATH" ? How 15 won it from Craven 14 Maidment 13. you dont get meeting's like those anymore do you.😜

Dont know what the fascination is with Jonasson he is not cheap either he looked unfit as well last year i for one would not want him.

I recon Auty is certainly better than Lawson around Belle Vue and myself am not keen on Hougaard or Bjerre.

The Southbrook has a very good reputation for food and it has been very good when i have been there just hope Rosco can do a nice burger and Chips.😀

Will Alfie Bowtell get a place at Lakeside or Newcastle (Danny Phillips back) ? he could be one to consider a real favourite.

My take on it is that it is not out of his system,he should do it he loves racing and there is plenty of time to be retired.I really admire Lewis for getting back he odviously really wanted it and he made it happen so good luck to the guy.His family are odviously behind him and you dont want to be getting to 40 and having regrets saying that your comments are probably the right thing to do.

I felt the crowds held up ok generally, i know there was alot of 10 pound meeting's to get people in but the main problem was the lack of meeting's.People get used to not going when there are three/four week gaps between meeting's that has to be addressed in 2018.

A very good side i think Heeps for me is the key at times last year he really impressed me just needs that bit more consistency.Both the reserves are promising,Hume really has ability and is decent at home Mountain improved as the season went along and the German also has a good reputation this side will be mighty hard to beat at home i recon.

I would pick Zach all day long over Nielsen we need a pretty decent reserve alongside Zach i think.
