Wimbledon did have some bad luck were they not suppose to of signed Christer Lofqvist once ? and later missed out on Bast i actually think Bast might of done a few laps at Plough Lane.??
-
Was Mike Bast generally poor on the big tracks? he was awesome around Costa Mesa (ect).I always felt Wimbledon would of been ideal for him gain confidence then learn on the bigger British tracks.Mauger/Briggs both said he would of cracked it over here both rated him highly a shame we did not get the chance to see him try.

I like Bellego alot an exciting rider and i hope he is a sucess. But Sedgeman has real ability and if someone can unlock all of that he could comeback and bite us on the bum.

Did Toni kasper get a paid maximum on his first appearance at the Abbey.??? -
Unreal to be honest Crazy, places for Pickering(decent though) Davey in the PL yet nothing for Nielsen so unfair and something should be done about it.
-

Could Speedway Move Forward With A Hearn Type.?
Sidney the robin posted a topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Is British speedway dead and buried could it be revamped with a Barry Hearn type at the helm or a impartial governing body running it.?I watched the darts this week and how that sport has prospered and moved on.Speedway for me now in this Country is in decline terminally damaged old stadia with no younger generation supporting the sport replacing old farts like myself. -
What Was The Last Speedway Dvd/vhs You Watched?
Sidney the robin replied to Shale Searcher's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Sid James i prefered him in straight roles my favourite film was hell drivers hated him in Carry on films loved his notorious laugh😆 -
I have just watched all the Gps again in the past month and what a bitter pill that was for Doyley to swallow. To have the WC snatched away from him must of been heartbreaking but he will be back and stronger in my opinion and in the next five years can win a title i hope so.Great that he is back for the Budgies and next seasons series should be a cracker.Doyle,Holder,Emil,Tai,and the three poles will be the ones in the hunt for me the series lineup is the best it can be for me just minus G.Laguta which is a shame.

A good post and spot on with everything, Gavan gets stick on the Poole threads mostly very unfairly in my view.Gavan like myself likes alot of the Poole riders (ie) Newman,Kurtz, both Holder's and if he is wrong over the year he is big enough to admit so.Poole have mostly great supporters but me personally i don't recognise them in the same light as the Belle Vue aces or the Wimbledon Dons for example.I can remember when Poole had poor teams finishing bottom so it has not always been successful for the club.Back to Kurtz and Jack both talented lads and they both have bright futures.

Great stuff 😜seriously though i hope things turn out ok as i am pretty worried now.😢.

Was placed twice 1969/70 in the British junior championship and was a British Finalist in 73 so he was not overshadowed.😆

Your Team An What You Expect In 2017....
Sidney the robin replied to Midget's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
For me Sheffield have put a really nice side together a nice balance.Really good reserves a good no 1 who will replace Steady Bjerre/Bates who can really improve. Also Howarth is also very capable Sheffield, Ipswich are the two teams i like the look of. -

Frank Varey/Dent Oliver both legends in my book.
-
Did hear Sedgy was promised a team spot and was let down badly don't know if there is any truth in that.?I hope he does well for Leicester a nice guy and there is a very good rider in there big year for him.
-
Gustix i wished Iris a happy new year and had moved on but was then shafted about discussing a subject with Steve R.How dare we!!!!😅so sad it is unbelievable.
-
Get a life Iris does it matter that much ✌️️does it affect you? at times on this forum you F. ing annoy me bigtime.😡
-
When did the old monkey mask go out of fashion the nineties i suppose.?I think Autrey/McKnight were two of the first group of imports that wore full face helmets a trend that now is the norm.

King's Lynn Stars 2017
Sidney the robin replied to Daniel Smith's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I like young Bailey i really think the lad can keep improving also King's Lynn have always tried to give young lads a chance over the years. (ie) Sparshott,Dye,Mallett,Framingham,Featherby (ect).I have seen Josh ride twice he has a tidy style and i believe at Saddlebow he can mix it away it will be difficult also his gating is a weakness but he has real talent though. -
Could Speedway Move Forward With A Hearn Type.?
Sidney the robin replied to Sidney the robin's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
I totally agree with all of that can't stand the bloke he would shaft his own granny to make a few quid.Maybe i should of used another example rather than Hearn to front our sport. Also apart from Orient how much damage has he done to Snooker? massive devides between the players that he has created i have totally lost interest in snooker now.Back to speedway can it reinvent itself i don't think so myself. -
Spot on Chunky 1969 deffo, i have a picture in 1969 of Briggo on the front of the Speedway Pix magazine. Can certainly remember him wearing a full face helmet in the 1970 World Final how time has flown by.😜
-
Think he rode with one in America also i think briggo wore one maybe 1971 when he had pale blue and red leathers .????
