That's what they'd have you think. Instead they dilute the quality of web developers around you in order to make it appear as if you've ascended to the top.

Don't you guys have a petrol station nearby? I'm sure they'll be enough spaces there... sort of in between the ATM and the car wash?

    British Based Polish League Team?

What about a Poland based British team? I know they have foreign teams in their second division but I'm not sure what level they compete at. Can't be any worse than SGB Premiership though...

13.41!!!  Sometimes this forum is like some weird delusional fairy tale. With the rubbish the "SGB Premiership" is serving up this season I'd be very surprised if any club could bank enough money to invest in a stadium.

They decided at the AGM that all clubs must have an inexperienced Brit doing web development. Fast track developers they call them.

It's also worth noting that the only kind of riders we're likely to tempt over are those looking for a pay cheque or those with no experience. Any riders that are serious about progressing their careers or competing in the Grand Prix's won't waste their time in a league that offers no competition.

Very dark times for the top division of British speedway. The promoters have sent a clear message to the public and to the riders that top division speedway in the UK can no longer deliver anything close to a top division experience. The sort of teams the SGB Premiership are putting together couldn't even compete with First League in Poland, besides Extraliga! I really hope the promoters learn a lesson from this year and enough of them have the sense to see that the product and the promotion must be drastically improved. Every year the same thing. The promoters cut costs, the quality drops and the attendances drop. Anybody with an ounce of business acumen can see this is a trend that cannot possibly be sustained. These latest cuts in quality stand only to push more fans away and stand absolutely no chance of attracting new fans through the turnstiles.

Worst AGM yet. Cannot believe what they've done to top flight speedway. I understand that some clubs are struggling to pay the bills but that just highlights the fact that the product needs to be improved, not diluted! I understand that some fans do not care about the calibre of the rider and are simply happy to pay for any form of speedway, but I know that many (including the thousands that have already abandoned the sport) want to see the very best riders in the world, not a league where a team cannot include one decent rider without impeding themselves before the season has even started.

I don't think he is naive at all... his record speaks for itself. I think he's realised that he can only accommodate riders who have the potential to massively improve their score. Other riders are shown the door.

Chris out because even if he scored a maximum every meeting, he still couldn't attain his average. Jack in. http://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/sport/14876988.Speedway__Ford_rules_Holder_out_of_Pirates__team_building_plans/

"Sadly, because of the new rules, it's clear to see that even if he were to score a 12-point maximum every meeting, effectively we would be giving away half a point in our team-building structure." What a joke of a sport. When will the promoters ever learn? Jack Holder on a 7.16 average Premiership speedway at it's very best. Meanwhile in Poland... Torun: Chris Holder (Capt) Greg Hancock Adrian Miedzinski Martin Vaculik Paul Przedeplski Casper Gomolski

They create the FTR system to "help British youngsters". They then create a system that punishes them. I think it's quite clear they don't care about the sport, they just care about reducing costs.

Exactly the attitude of the idiot promoters who got us into this mess I've got the hump because the league has went to the dogs. There is a difference between being a true fan and being an idiot. If you want to keep paying for the trash they are serving under the guise of "Premiership" speedway then you go right ahead. One day you'll come to realise that the "true fans" are the ones being taken for mugs. Every year the promoters cut corners to save money and every year the attendances drop because of this. Eventually all that will be left are the "true fans" paying through the nose for utter garbage speedway. You "true fans" are actually the ones that enable the promoters to get away with robbing the public on a weekly basis and you're part of the problem. We should be demonstrating that the ever decreasing quality of the product is not okay. Reducing the quality of the product and living off the "true fans" of 30 years ago is not an acceptable alternative to investing in and professionally promoting the sport. The real true fans are the ones who like me are heartbroken to see the sport go this way. Even the dullest pencil in the box can see that the fans are dying out, the current fans are being taken for mugs and there is a complete lack of fresh young supporters coming into our grandstands. You think you're going to attract fresh blood with a forever diluting product? Use your noggin.

This really is terrible news for speedway. What a truly pathetic league this has turned into. I will not be attending a single meeting next season, and I won't even bother watching on Sky. You need to spend and invest to grow a brand, not cut costs and dilute the product. If only promoters took some notice of what their fans had been saying 10+ years ago then they wouldn't be in this mess. Complete lack of foresight and willing to embrace the changing eras lead to this disaster and it's only downhill from here.

Best Teams You Can Build Under 50pt Limit

I think that's me done with speedway. If that's the sort of quality we can expect in the "premiership" then I'm afraid I'm just not interested.
  16. Which average is used for team building? http://www.speedwaygb.co/files/downloads/el16_issue_30.pdf A, B, C or D? I'm not really sure which one is used?
  17. There was never any cheating involved. Poole put together a fair side, were riddled with injuries throughout the season and were let down by an awful referee who was clearly a fan of #abp. The decision to exclude Ellis was awful. Instead of PK and AE ending up in hospital he laid the bike down like a true sportsman, the skill that Ivan Mauger taught in his training schools as the most important thing a rider needs to learn. After a fantastic meeting, regardless of the terrible decision, the public were robbed of a true heat 15 as a referee with a god complex decided he wanted to decide the outcome, rather than bring all 4 back after a clear case of first bend bunching took place. Congratulations to the Wolves. Won't waste my time watching BV destroy you with their enormous home advantage however.
  18. I'd congratulate Wolves but they don't deserve it. Two terrible decisions by the referee. Ellis exclusion was completely wrong and heat 15 was robbery.
  19. Lol... maybe a wolves win but pretty sure Poole will secure their place in the final tonight. Should have a pretty good idea which way it's going to go by heat 3 or 4.
  20. I reckon Matt Ford's been switching your paracetamol with vitamin pills. That man knows no bounds.
  21. I'd say that's a pretty sorry state of affairs. Perhaps at that point it's time to part with the sport. Can't imagine there is much enjoyment there for you. To suggest that Poole prefer R/R over Lindback is just nonsense... It really is mate. To assume that R/R would perform better that a world class rider is, at very best, a foolish gamble with absolute minimum benefits either way. Even if Lindback were not to perform at his best, the experience for BV is essential. With a 12 point lead and a tactical ride to fall back on I doubt very much any team would consider such a pointless gamble.
  22. I expect Poole to win this easily enough. Poole don't even need to win a race to do it.
  23. Buczkowski is awful everywhere to be fair mate... Still Poole's to win. Really hope Lindback is alright, never fun spending time in hospital.
  24. Lol it's not disastrous. We'll still make it through to the play offs easily. We can fall behind 10 points and still have a 2pt cushion and a tactical ride up our sleeves. Tungate will probably score as much as Bjarne and Lindback would. Technically we could, but I believe we'd lose our chance to use Anton in the final. It need's a miracle? To try to lose by less than 12 points? With every rider getting a chance to take an R/R ride? Come on... Lindback was only good for 4/5 points in my opinion. It took him most the night at Poole to get in the groove, besides Wolverhampton! Tungate for Bjarne?! That's like trading in your old Nokia for an iPhone. We're laughing mate.
