Thanks. Can you bet on individual races during BT meetings on Bet365 as you can on SkyBet?

Which sites are people betting on? I can't find anywhere to bet on riders against each other.

    Glasgow v Ipswich

Drew Kemp is a seriously impressive talent. His maturity and control on the bike is far beyond his years and he seems to have it all. Let's hope he can avoid injuries and gain opportunities abroad early and make a real go of it. His paid 21 max against Eastbourne for Mildenhall earlier in the year was exceptional and he is just getting better and better every week. I don't think it'll be long before we see him manage to beat a number one in this league.

    Leicester V Somerset 03.09.18

Pleased to see Connor put in a strong performance. Was very disappointed when Ipswich released Connor but it seems to have been a blessing in disguise for him, securing team places at Sheffield and Leicester. It's clear he never enjoyed riding the Ipswich track and being released enabled a fresh start. Should the league set ups stay the same, Connor should have Championship and Premiership speedway next year and make the move up from the National League, hopefully as a National League Riders Champion.
  6. Was never a huge fan of Cookie before this season, but was delighted when he made the GP's last season meaning two Brits were permanent members of the series. Having followed Cookie over the season and seen the way he has interacted with his fans and given opportunities to those who have helped him has been absolutely superb and people really shouldn't forget that. It's nothing to the riders to give these opportunities to people but for the fans it's a huge memory to treasure. I am gutted for him that it hasn't gone to plan this year and he has struggled. Whilst his self confidence isn't the highest, his lack of track craft and experience have been his downfalls in the Grand Prix and it was a huge shame he didn't secure his place in the run off with Lindback in Germany. Track craft again was a big example of his issues there! However, moving back to Cookie, what he has also done for his fellow riders is fantastic and he has used his position within the sport as a GP rider admirably and whilst at times he has let himself down this year according to some, the majority of his actions have been superb. I'm all for British riders riding in both leagues personally, there isn't a huge difference between the leagues and if someone wants to ride, let them. I'm sure many fans go to tracks specifically to see Cookie now he's back in the Championship. Congratulations to Cookie for the win yesterday and hopefully he can have a good end to the season in the GP's.

    Mildenhall v Eastbourne Sept 2

Understand the decision completely but the football fixtures were announced in mid June, yet the Mildenhall website still says 3pm start?! When will these speedway promotors finally realise that by giving people enough time to plan, they may see a few more fans through the gate! When I checked the fixture list recently I suspected the start time would be put back. Why have I and others only found out this is certain through this forum? An hour can be vital in travel times and there is no reason why Mildenhall couldn't have had this fixture as a 4pm start on the website weeks ago.
  8. Anyone know who the live meeting at 6 on Freesports is between?
  9. Best to wishes to Dan, hoping for positive news in the coming days and a speedy recovery. Everyone who follows speedway knows the risks that are taken by the riders and how dangerous it can be but it never makes it easier when someone is seriously hurt. Best wishes to his family also, must have been horrendous for his father and nan to witness the accident. Fingers crossed Dan can recover fully and resume his highly promising career. A very highly thought of youngster by many within the sport, clearly shown by all the get well messages seen across social media. Nice to see Craig Cook attempting to raise some funds for young Dan too, fantastic work again, much like his work for Mitchell Davey. He does seem to not help himself at times with his actions but he has shown this year that he truly does care for the sport and care for his fellow professionals. Great work Cookie.
  10. Gutted for Cookie tonight. Whether you like him or not, the way he has tried to involve his supporters in his Grand Prix journey should be admired hugely. Really hope Cookie can bang in at least two semis in the last five GP's to give himself a chance of a wildcard. I think he'll struggle to do it but you never know. Either way, he qualified by right last year and has got so close to pulling it off again, hopefully that will be recognised.

    Ipswich v Redcar 19/7/18

Very good meeting tonight, best I've seen at Foxhall for a while with plenty of passing. Redcar were good value for their point, Jorgensen particularly impressive. Possibly harshly done by with his heat 13 exclusion too, depending on the angle people saw. Berge and Jonas Andersen improved over the meeting, however Barker, whilst all action, looked slow and couldn't make much of the impact. The reserves struggled, never looked comfortable. For the Witches, Schlein, Covatti and Heeps all did a decent job. Covatti was unlucky with a puncture and Schlein cutting him off in heat 15 when he possibly thought he was Jorgensen. Mark Riss looks a very good signing at home, clearly very comfortable at Foxhall. Garcia tried hard, throwing himself around everywhere and I'm sure he'll improve around Foxhall which will be needed against higher quality reserve pairings. As for Wallinger, there isn't really much to say. I didn't expect him to score a point but watching a Championship rider having to free wheel into the bends in his first race was a new experience. He might get Redcar away next week but I'd be amazed if he's still in the side for the next home meeting. You have to feel for him as he's completely out of his depth, an incredible decision from the promotion which needs explaining. An 'enthusiastic approach' is certainly not a good enough reason to sign a rider! Tom Brennan, Nathan Stoneman, Josh Bailey and Ryan Kingsley are all clear, stronger options. I presume Bailey has an average so probably can't guest but the other three must be able too and I'm sure they won't turn down the opportunities at Foxhall. On a sidenote, really pleased to see Connor Mountain win the Top Gun Individual at Sheffield tonight. Congratulations Connor.

Yes, they certainly should. I hope that rule is brought back in next year.

    Ipswich 2018

Where to start on these moves by the Witches management? Slightly harsh on Jeppesen but as soon as Mark Riss was released, it was expected he would end up at Foxhall. Feel for Jeppesen though, hasn't been treated well in the UK so far. With regards to Connor Mountain, a crazy decision in my eyes. It has to be accepted that Connor hasn't done as well at Foxhall as expected this year but I would argue that the strength in depth of sides in the league is a lot stronger this year so what is truly expected of Connor at Ipswich? Should he really have been beating Rasmus Jensen last week, I'd personally say no. The fact that he has been released for Coty Garcia is laughable. No disrespect to Coty but he hasn't really achieved anything in the UK and I can't see him improving the side. Connor was doing more than enough away to warrant staying. The reason given that Connor was released due to his home form, whilst possibly fair, is a lot to do with the fact that Heeps isn't doing enough for the side. All in all, Connor has been very harshly treated at Ipswich in the last two seasons. On the flip side, hopefully a move will be the best thing for Connor and he'll improve. Would've liked to see him at Peterborough but obviously there isn't space for him there at the moment. The most laughable change is bringing in David Wallinger. Signing a rider and praising his attitude when he's walked out of one club this year is an interesting comment. I understand he's just in until Drew Kemp arrives but you can't possibly say there aren't a number of better two pointers in the National League that Ipswich could've used as guests. Tom Brennan was superb in the British Under 19 Final, surely he was worth a shot? Similarly, Ryan Kingsley is having a fantastic season, he is far more deserving of the opportunity than Wallinger. I'd also make a case for the likes of Nathan Stoneman and Josh Bailey (should his average fit). These decisions stink of the management giving up on the season and planning for next year. Care must be taken with Drew Kemp too. Whilst the hype is deserved and he is clearly a huge prospect, just looking at Kyle Bickley this season shows how difficult the step up is. Kyle should gain huge respect from the sport for his desire to keep going when times are tough but I would suggest his struggles show the difficulties of the move at first.

    Kent 2018

Glad to see William get another team spot. Is never going to be a world beater but is making steady progress. Hopefully Kent will give him the rest of the season, he deserves a spell in one team.

    Glasgow 2018

Interesting and I'd suggest slightly disappointed move from Cook in my opinion. Feel that Cook is settling for Championship and Premiership now. You have to praise him for getting to the GP's and whilst it is clear he is out of his depth, it's a shame he's already going backwards without giving it a full season. However, on the flip side this could certainly improve Cook's confidence so you can tell why he's doing it, as well as the financial gain from the Glasgow promotion I would suspect. Not sure it improves Glasgow that much though, Cook won't score too many more than Worrall to also cover the Greaves for Kerr switch.
  16. Get well soon Josh and Sam. Sam Bebee has had far too many injuries for his age, let's hope he can come back and get a clear run with some luck for the rest of the season. His courage is clearly of the highest level.
  17. Really looking forward to this tomorrow, could make a case for nearly half of the field having a chance of winning. Pleased to see Stevie Worrall has recovered from his injury so quickly but it's ridiculous that he's been put in the meeting. Makes a complete mockery of qualification. A predication for the final result is 1. Lambert 2. Schlein 3. Cook 4. Bewley.

    Mildenhall 2018

Kelsey Dugard missing for Eastbourne tomorrow according to the Mildenhall press release. Any reason why? Or is it meant to be Charley Powell that's missing as he didn't ride for Eastbourne tonight?
  19. Spot on. Ridiculous when you think about it, still a good result for Robert. Comfortably the most difficult qualifier this year I'd suggest.
  20. He's only in line for the Speedway of Nations because the first meeting is at Belle Vue, anywhere else in the world and he wouldn't of been in my opinion. For what it's worth, I believe it should be Woffinden, Cook and Lambert. Chances are Lambert will take rides at Belle Vue and probably most of Cook's in Poland. Bewley's doing brilliantly but no need to rush him.
  21. All the hype around Bewley in the UK is letting Robert Lambert slip nicely under the radar. 8 from 3 to follow up a strong start to the season.
  22. I just don't see the causal fan seeing a £15 admission price, £1 cheaper than a Championship meeting, viewing that as value for money. I appreciate the young lads try their best and there is something special about seeing the youngsters come through but I'd guess from the crowd that people paid more attention to the pricing than you expect. I'm not suggesting £10 but why not charge £12/13 and bring more people in? Drew did well but I expected him to push Flint for the podium place but it sounds like a bike issue, so fair enough I was harsh on Drew. Just a word for a couple of the other riders. Taylor Hampshire is improving which is great to see. Looked a decent prospect at Mildenhall and was disappointed to see him move on, hopefully he'll be back in the future. Also, impressed with Charlie Brooks. Really struggled to get round in his first ride but is clearly a quick learner and improved rapidly over the night, getting close without threatening to overtake Kyle Bickley in one race.
  23. My questioning of the pricing was based on the Under 21 qualifier at Peterborough last year being just £10. Just wondered if the casual fan may have been put off by the pricing. Anyway, on to tonight's racing... Bewley was expected to win easily but is just one of those riders who you can watch leading by miles and still enjoy the race. He really is something special and I hope his development continues. Hugely impressed by Leon Flint. Really attacked the track and clearly has loads of potential. Expect him to be in the Championship with Berwick next year. Also very pleased he got third place as I don't agree with run offs when a rider has already beaten the other in their scheduled race. Looked like an expensive run off for Thomas though, with sparks flying out of the bike. Was disappointed with Bickley, have to question whether the move into the Championship has come too early for him. Last year would've been perfect with each time having to have a 2.00 average rider, but this year the jump may be too big for him at the moment. Enjoyed watching Joe Lawlor, shame to see him nearly fall which cost him a chance of the podium. Bit scary to watch when he turns round every single corner looking where the riders behind are! Expected slightly more from Kemp and Edwards but they're both very young and their time will come. Both attacked the track well and have to wonder if the pressure of being at a local track may of played on Kemp's mind slightly. Tom Brennan was absolutely superb and has come on leaps and bounds. Gave his best to push Bewley out in their race but just didn't have the pace, however he wasn't a million miles away the whole race through. Another one with huge potential and I just wonder if Chris Louis may be on the phone to Martin Dugard soon. Overall, an enjoyable night. Congratulations to Dan, Tom and Leon on their achievements.
  24. More than likely to be an unpopular opinion but can't help feeling that the decision to put Dan Bewley in ahead of Adam Ellis is a bit harsh on Adam at this stage? They've put a lot of work into Adam the last couple of years and with him having had a good start to the season (I know Bewley has done well too) he should surely be ahead of Dan Bewley?
  25. £15 for a glorified National League meeting with Dan Bewley enough to put many people off attending? Just make it £10 and get lots more in.
