    2018 Warsaw Gp

Brilliant to see Tai and it's a start for Cook, could've gone worse at least! You could see the difference in experience out there last night, he just needs time which admittedly, the GP's are not a place to learn! Hopefully he'll get better over the season though. I do think some people should realise how well he has done to get where he is and actually applaud him for his efforts so far. Laguta was the big surprise, definitely looks a decent contender for a top 5/6 place on the basis of last night, entertaining to watch too. Lindgren was strong as expected, also impressed with Holder, looked very fast at times.

    Mildenhall 2018

What did James Easter say about Danny Ayres today? I hope Danny turns up safe and well and all is ok. There must be more to this than meets the eye and I hope the club take the time to support Danny, whatever has happened. A brilliant character within the sport and seems like a thoroughly decent bloke.

Witches v Hammers KOCup Round 1 Leg 1 3rd May

dontforgetthefueltapsbruv- Oh I see, that makes sense! Not a slight on Kyle at all, he's more than entitled to celebrate a paid win, especially beating Schlein. Baldyman- Fingers crossed he does come on, would be a hell of an asset for the Witches if so. I was more speaking about his confidence in that it can't be good for him if he finds Foxhall a struggle. But after everything that happened last year, you can clearly see he has a good head on his shoulders and I'm sure many are highly supportive of Connor.

Witches v Hammers KOCup Round 1 Leg 1 3rd May

A few late observations from Thursday's meeting. Delighted to see Danny King not suffer any breaks, the one's where riders don't hit the air fence always look worse and it's amazing to see him somehow get away lightly. Hopefully Haertel isn't too badly hurt and will be back soon. Heat 1 obviously ruined the tie as a contest but the win for the night was still up for grabs and Lakeside ran away with it. Ellis and Lawson were both superb out of the gate and faultless from there. Enjoyed Newman taking a lap of honour after two paid wins! However, I think the reason Ipswich let him go was his injury track record rather than his points scoring. Bowtell impressed, taking a few thirds. Not sure if he's quite ready for this level yet but he's certainly improving, hope Lakeside stick with him, he has potential. For the witches, a pretty poor evening clearly. Heeps tried his best and did well. The number of rides in succession must be taken in account but he's looking better. Schlein's ride in heat 1 was superb, best ride I've seen round Foxhall for a while, less said about the rest the better. Sure it's a one off poor night for Rory though. Connor is a real enigma. Big fan from Connor from his Mildenhall days but something just isn't right with him and Foxhall. With all due respect to Morley, Clegg and Bowtell, Connor should be beating those 4 times out of 5 round Ipswich now. A bit of an off night for Connor but I do wonder whether he would be better off moving elsewhere. It's clear to see from his away performances that he can do well elsewhere but there is definitely something about Ipswich for him. Hopefully Connor turns it round though. Hard to judge Hume at the minute as it's still early days in his comeback, but like Connor, there's definitely a good rider there. On a different note, I hope Ritchie Hawkins and Chris Louis have got Jordan Jenkins and Drew Kemp lined up for next season...

    British Under 21

Anyone know why Sam Bebee pulled out? Shanes, Clegg, Zach, Jenkins, Brennan, Mountain and Bailey to go through I think. Maybe Edwards or Kemp could sneak past Jenkins for a surprise.

    Who Finishes Where 2018

    1. Woffinden 2. Doyle 3. Zmarzlik 4. Dudek 5. Zagar 6. Emil 7. Lindgren 8. Hancock 9. Laguta 10. Vaculik 11. Janowski 12. Pawlicki 13. Pedersen 14. Holder 15. Cook Think Woffinden will be back this year to his best and pip Doyle. The two poles will go close but ultimately slip away. Next four speak for themselves. Laguta to go close, Vaculik or Janowski to be close to top 8. Pedersen and Holder nowhere near their best and it will be the last year for both in the GP's. Hope Cook can do himself justice but just can't see him challenging. Hopefully he does the qualifiers and qualifies for next year and gets a year experience on the continent to have a real push in 2019. Would love to see him do well though.
  7. I was impressed by Kyle at Mildenhall. He seemed to learn very quickly. For me the best out of the three presently is Jordan but I'm obviously more likely to be biased. I'd imagine there's a good chance all three could be holding a permanent Championship place at the start of next season, clearly Bickley will. Any guesses for where the other two boys could end up? Jenkins possibly Ipswich? Not sure on Brennan.

    Newcastle 2017

Really happy to see Alfie get a Championship place. You can never fault his effort and he'll definitely pick up points. Was disappointed to see him leave Mildenhall at the end of last season but it has certainly worked in his favour.
  9. Congratulations to Zach on his win. Disappointed in Connor Dugard's comments in the Star recently comparing Tom Brennan to Kyle Bickley, saying Tom was the best 15 year old around at the moment. Kyle certaininly made him eat his words tonight. The boys should just be allowed to develop, add Jordan Jenkins into that and we have three bright British prospects.

    Plymouth Track

A National League track with a lack of dirt and a blue groove seems to be a growing trend.

    Buxton V Mildenhall

Good win on the road but gutted to see Luke Ruddick get injured. He's been growing in confidence all year and really turned his form around so hopefully he's back soon although the early prognosis doesn't sound great. Best wishes to Jon Armstrong too. Lee Smart to replace Luke whilst he is out now Kingsley is at Buxton?
  12. Are you involved in the club adz_mft? I'd like to hear the views of someone involved as to why there is no consistency with the track. I understand the stock cars issue but it wasn't as much of a problem years ago and nowadays it's pot luck as to what you're going to see. One week it produces brilliant speedway and the next time loads struggle to get round.

    Presenters And Announcers

Does a fantastic job at Mildenhall.
  14. Would you class the track as acceptable today? That was absolutely ridiculous and Jolly's attitude to the Plymouth riders horrendous. I'll be heading to Ipswich or Peterborough for my speedway now.
  15. Yes that's a fair point. The place should clearly go to Wilkinson.
  16. Anyone who moans about Schlein being in the final, can't moan Lambert isn't in. If anything he has more right by virtue of actually qualifying! You can see it happening now Auty is out however. Wilkinson and Barker should be allowed the opportunity to travel for a run up and then the loser is first reserve.
  17. If Lambert gets a place it's ridiculous. I don't care how much people want him there, the 9th place riders in both semis should get a race off at Belle Vue if one rider drops out, unless one's score was higher.

    Eastbourne 2017

Told you it was a reliable source... Although it's been obvious for ages that Knight was back and he's only ever going to go to Eastbourne in reality so just a matter of time.
  19. How is he allowed to be a number eight when he's in another sides 1-7? Lewis Whitmore would be my next guess.
  20. A lot better yesterday but here lies the issue, there's no consistency. Not one rider struggled yesterday and it made for a much better meeting. Any guesses for Woods' replacement? Alex Spooner is the obvious choice.

    Eastbourne 2017

Heard from a very reliable source tonight that Coles has been released. Presume someone else too leaving it open for Knight to return. Was only a matter of time.
  22. I'm all for getting behind the sport but when a promotion is making mistakes week after week, I feel that my comments are more than acceptable.

    King's Lynn Young Stars 2017

The simple reason why this has happened here isn't the money, it's that there aren't enough riders to go round at this level.

    King's Lynn Young Stars 2017

Huge shame to see that Hampshire has taken a break. Looked to have a huge amount of promise near the end of last year but just hadn't happened for him this time out, was hardly riding his bike on Sunday. Hopefully he can return soon. I wonder if Sam Bebee's awful accident had an effect on him, they're clearly very good friends.
  25. Speedway28

    Lakeside 2017

The issue of him replacing Mason isn't really a problem when you consider their ages. However, why he wants to come back after the serious injuries he has sustained previously is incredible.
