Brits Not Supporting Team Gb
Mad Mitch replied to Phil The Ace's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
We know that the present teams riders are english but if they are riding for GB they have my support. Keep calling them Engerlund and I,ll be strugling to cheer them on I used to support them when the team had only a token GB rider, the rest were antipodean. I,d prefer they were 2nd here tonight as its better to practice on thursday at the playoff. Time to give our Cookie and crew a few goes at the Marketa before meeting Poland Sat night. -
Why dont the BSPA at their AGM decide what the eligibility criteria for foreigners joining British speedway is and published it ? That way promotors and fans would know who they might be able to sign. It also should reduce the LMC having to meet and decide eligibility. Maybe I,m being a bit simplistic but if its too complicated mistakes are going to be made.

Keyline Scottish Open Edinburgh

Yes DW I,d rather Gollob,Pedersen,Crump etc were there! I suppose they could have changed the date to a non GP weekend and invited sponsors to pay them. Yes the line up does pale when you look at previous winners since 1928. Maybe its a reminder of the Knife edge our sport is surviving on in 2011. Must admit not to have Joe & James, with a very good chance of winning it, in the field is disappointing for potential Tigers fans and gate money ! Of course Tigers have more important fixtures this weekend and good luck to them. Well apart from Sunday -
Tickets can be purchase via "Ticketportal" on Zlata prilba website for the World Junior Final sat and Golden Helmet Sun if you like to choose seats in advance. Zlata Stuha (Gold Ribbon) is run on fri 1800.Pay at the gate,or for the weekend. If you want to avoid the travel there,s plenty accomodation in and around Pardubice if you book now. TIP: The Programe is for all 3 days, dont try and fill it in without supervision as the -21 apart, scoring and progress to the next stage can be a bit confusing for 1st timers !!

www.speedwayresults.com have full results of first 2 meets on separate pages. Not sure about TV streaming !

Mad Mitch replied to Noodles's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
Thats good info Merv, a pity its not made clear what the Qualy criteria is on the Super7 site. The BSPA site gives greensheet averages dated 15 July, so not entirely helpful. PS. There are no scheduled flights from Dugavpils 14 August that will get -21 competitors to P-Boro in time on 15th. -
This fixture was slated in Polish fxtures in last weeks Speedway star, track TBA. Can someone confirm if the meeting is on, which track and start time ???

After watching this Showpiece Speedway Grand Prix anyone thinking of going to see a speedway meeting must have been totally convinced that the whole thing was utterly boring and put them off for life. I dont know if Ole is to blame but last years meet produced excellent racing till about halfway through when rain ruined a perfectly good track. SKY are trying very hard to give speedway airtime as well as floging TV packages but this was a prime example of how not to promote the sport. It kinda makes F1 look good viewing. -

Agree with you GG after 1pm G1 according to metchek is rainfree Sun. its the ammount of water that falls before then that could be the problem ? Ive checked for Workington too and thats probably worse. at least these german lads will see that the rains as bad in Englandershire
