Yet antoher great year for the NL speedway as a league, It shows you how good speedway can be at this level but with out the backing of the club and family but most of all the sponsors and supporters no matter how big or small they are all welcome with open arms. I have helped a few of the riders in the last few years with a tyre now and then, i can honestly say its the love of the sport which i can see how people get wrapped up in. Connor and Martyn and the backing of Paul Goldsmith (IT First) had really secured the club for the last few season, Big Question to all who wil be the main sponsor for the League next year and who will be the main sponsor for the Club,

Well i picked a fine match to miss by all accounts but i was not going to pay the extra money fo a meeting i was not going to watch as i had work the next day and did want the late night home. By all accounts i have to take my Hat off to Eastbourne for pulling it back in the second half of the meeting as it was looking as if it was going to go to the wire. Great ride by George in heat 3 and then again jake, charlie provided important points, a good turn out by josh in second half of the meeting, Have to say i didnt expect that jason would get a great 5-1 to seal the title for us and again followed by a win in heat 14 by Tom. Again it was a great team performance and any supporter and sponsors should be proud of the team.

To accuse an official Mrs Brennan of the BSPA / SCB a licenced official is a very bold statement, from where I was I didn’t see any of this. Again another angry outburst from Mrs Armstrong at the time. I would like to be a fly on the wall at Eastbourne and you could take Mrs Armstrong to the cleaners with slander. Slander, the action or crime of making a false spoken statement damaging to a person's reputation.

Well what a load of rubbish lets sort this all out as i watched all happen. Jon lost control going into the 3rd 4th bend last lap and with out a question he had hurt something. when he was laying across the bike to cross the line you could see he was in a lot of pain.(Fact) The Eastbourn boys went on parade big win last meeting of the season at home and lots of celebration on the stock car track, During this time jon was on the inside of the speedway track with the medical staff being treated. (Fact) Somebody a member of track staff thought they would use a wheel barrow to help Jon. ( to lean on not to be transported ) so it was said later on. Medical staff asked to use the Golf Buggy to help Jon from the track (not a medical buggy) a golf buggy for collection and running staff around the staduim, The medical buggy as its now been renamed is also called an Ambulance. Jon returned to the pits then got changed with the medical staff to find a lady in the pits moaning on the way he was treated and how poor the service was, also how eagles were celebrating, moaning about everything she could monaing at the Eastbourne promoter, Track staff, Medical staff, at at one point the lampost in the pits to see if she could get any reaction. Jamie Easter or shall we call him Donald Trump. Moaned from the off. A problem he cold not get a Guest, the fact that the sun had been out all day also with Jenkins bulldozing Brennan, Kemp colliding with powell, starting gate movements? foul mouthing across the centre green at the Ref in front of children, Trying to get the meeting overturned because of the celebrations of the Eagles riders. (Fact) The best thing of it all was Jon coming out the changing room behing helped to his van by the Eastbourne fans, his wife had no care about him tas he tried to stop he making a fool of herself as he was happy the way he was treated and it was an old injury that he had pulled. Jons wife was still trying to upset as many people as she could before she exited the staduim, At one point she was even talking to the lampost and trying to get a photo of the offending wheel barrow (creative writting) At the end of the day Jon is a really nice guy to be mixed up in something that didnt seem a problem at the time unless you was a mildenhall supported / wife / or James Trump. Good lead for the Eagles boring meeting for home fans as Mildenhall never showed up. i wont be going to the last leg as i wont pay the entrnace fee for a double header.

Jack Smith is not a great rider at Eastbourne, he is very hit and miss but maybe he has got better this year with all the involvment of the other leagues, I have a feeling Bewley will have a good meeting but not a great score he might drop a point . Woodhall might shine but depends on who the Eastbourne reserves are for that meeting. Bickley has not set the place alight but can prove us wrong, i went to kent and his performance was not gret there either. so i think a big home win will set us on our way.

A fantastic night of speedway as Kelvin say straight out the top draw. As for Bradley Andrews i think he has to stay on his bike to make it count this time, his record at Eastbourne for cradley and Kent is not the best, My thougths are why would you want to hurt your your and again or take a chance on a track thats not your best. Surprised with the performance of Anders Rowe this season he is a surprise at Kent but as you have seen his away peformance on certain tracks is very poor, I think he has only scored a few point as Eastbourne in the last 3 visits. JackThomas is very hit and miss.

Tuesday night 31st October Halloween special speedway night final

What a great result for the Eagles last night another Big step for us towards the play offs. If i was a kent fan i would have some skid marks in my pants knowing that the kent season is almost over. cant tell you how rude the kent fans were last night turining very bitter towards any Blue and Yellow fans. The pits reaction said it all after the meeting, A very upbeat Eagles one side and a very down in the dumps kent team, The Eastbourne pits was full of fans when the kent side of the pits was just mechanics and a very black cloud. Saturday speedway is the place to be. Eastbourne speedway

Sundays are no good for me as its football with the Kids. Also if you loose it takes longer get rid of the tastes till you go to bed. What a result for the Eagles last night, very unlucky not to come away with a win. Bowen was on form but again let the pressure get to him with a silly fall. He also lost kent from winning the NT last year at Stoke. Well dont to all the Eastbourne team an outstanding pass from woods over Bowen. cant wait for Saturday, I have just checked the local forcast for Eastbourne and it seems for the first time in 6 weeks they have a clear week. A grippy track will be 14 points to the eagles.

Well after my holiday and missing the double header and the away match at Belle Vue its time to step up another gear. Lets start with the KO Cup semi final. Thats going to be a little bit harder then it was at the start of the year but with Roynan not being at Eastbourne for a few years will give us the edge, Boxhall is always good at Arlington but i think he is no match for our top riders. Easy win overall by 15 points to the Eagles. Kent is the match we are looking forward too, We knocked them out the KO Cup at the start of the year so we need to do something again, Sid also thinks we are going to win at Kent as he pointed out that we won at at night meeting but all the other time was have been there have been bank holiday and lost. Roll on the play offs. Eastbourne to beat Kent and go to meet Lakeside in the final. all local to us.

Kent, Eastbourne, Lakeside, Belle Vue they have all become a fortress even to the extent of Mildenhall until last weekend. Playoffs are interesting but i have a feeling that Eastbourne could do it, just need to get the results from the next home meetings just to nudge us up the table to the top if we are lucky.

Not sure who is going to be the winner tonight it might be the weather?

A good win for the team at the IOW last night along with a home win on Saturday fingers crossed will almost make Eastbourne certain for the play offs. If i am right i think this is the big week where everyone almost finishes 90% of the league meetings. Time is ticking for everyone to make the play offs I cant wait.

I have watched riders over the last 20 years who go stale very quickly to name a few Barker, Dugard, Norris, they had spent too long on the smaller tracks as in Oxofrd and Eastbourne. The exception is Nikki when he roder at Eastbourne and become world champ during that time. but i guess thats because he was racing on the bigger tracks like Poland and Sweden.

I think it was a bad day in the office for the Eagles with knight having mechanical problem but also Bates Powell not really on the pace, Kent team did ride well and a great effort for them. The biggest problem i can see for Kent that the away performances this year have let them down and i have a feeling they may not make the playoffs. Same as Mildenhall great side at home but again struggled for away performances. Kent has a star in Rowe but if he is not carefull he will be a one track wonder same as Jack Thomas. Apart from that rant i am looking forward to the play offs.
