Very tight for 6th spot, 5 riders within 8 points. Go Doyley.
-
Too good, his title to lose now.

Might have to settle for 2 from 4, and have to agree with Shov, bloody boring meeting, genuine racing a rare occasion.

Cheers. Is same day qualifying the norm now ?

Somewhere around 6 hours to start of SGP 7 and the tools running the new SGP site haven't got a race card available. Pathetic.

Chris Holder who missed original qualification is listed on tonites Challenge Card. Does he replace Kai Huckenbeck from their qualifying round?

I thought he'd made a semi (s) before? Could be wrong
Fricke made 2 semis, turned 1 into a GP win, and missed the cut for three other semis by one point. He was poor R1 & R3, but has been a lot more solid overall than a number of comments in this forum would indicate. His less than great extraliga average may not help his chances of a WC but. The idea of new blood is wonderful, especially given that NKI, Lindbaek, and MM have proven not competitive, but there is little to suggest from the speedway year results that any of the young prospects or recycling options are likely to do better than this years top ten. Nikki on form, even without considering past exploits looks to me one of the better options for the 15th spot.

That's how I'm seeing it as well. Maybe Nikki back with 2 Danes exiting. Cant see a better recycling option, the younger prospects still a year or two short on experience.

Anyone know if any of these events will be available on internet. ? We have very capable Aussies in each of the rounds.

Drabik and Lambert are both in qualifiers, and Smektala is OK age wise.
-
Anyone aware of why Smektala is missing from the qualifiers ?

Getting female commentators out of a (man's) sport (trackside as well) that they have no competitive experience in would be a real good start. There are enough good ex riders about whose knowledge and experience give them an insight to track conditions and racing that could enable the bimbo like questions and opinions to be replaced with intelligent comment.

So who gets the white line marker?

Hopefully future rounds can field 16 riders and a more sensible format.
And if they do so, how would that pan out for riders? given that the major prize is based on progressive points.
Those added to the rider list would be unlikely to feature in the thick end of prize money.

And I got out of bed at 3am in Aus for this, not one of my better decisions it seems. Yes, boring, formats a shocker. Zengota seems to be dialled in to the track better than most.

Read them yes, understand them, no. Too complicated for me, if they drop 4 lowest scorers from each match, who replaces them to complete the field for the next round?, doesn't make sense.

Big track - 380 metres. Supposedly 500,000 Pln prize money, however much that is.

Any update on this young man's condition?. Wishing him all the best for a full recovery

Wonder if yesterday's soaking can create some drive and make this one more than a gating competition.

Any ideas on crowd figures?

For sure, I don't know who put the ROW side together or what the selection basis was but without the likes of Woffy, Lindgren, Hancock & Doyle it's hardly a genuine rep team.

If Madsen retains a top 6 SGP finish, wins the SEC, and Kolodzej 2nd, does Kolodzej get the SEC spot for 2023?
