neither of the new guys are for me vissing has never pulled up trumps for me and what sticks in my mind is that he was asked to take heat 15 in the premier league final against Scunny and bottled it, so we had to rely on a guest in the deciding heat and it seems Mr Wright gets the sack for being passionate, well I know which rider id rather have in my 7 as for covatti well it seems he spends more time in the treatment room than an A+E nurse

Waste of time I recon. As Santa Clause will obviously be far to busy and no doubt the fans will get the blame for that. Possibly better still Santa might just might want paying, and that would dearly upset the applecart

Hmmmm.. Have read the statement on the website concerning the end of season party, every day since it appeared, as my first reaction as a paying fan was how totally rude and unprofessional can someone who I pay my hard earnt money to really be, and how much they do it seems value me, or maybe not as it now appears. I was hoping it might well of been a heat of the moment thing, and perhaps after seeing it in black and white, they might of felt to re word it, as not to offend us the paying public. But sadly it appears not. So my conclusion is what is good for the goose is dam well good enough for the gander. So next season if the chips have gone up another 20p I shall make sure the management know about it, from a fans point of view. Simples. But I don't think I shall be as rude. Just on another little note in that now famous statement, drum roll, I would be very interested for them to name the rider who refused to attend unless they were going to be paid, that takes some neck il give them that, especially as us fans have gone along way to pay there wages every week. It obviously isn't one of the riders that has rode for the club and attended the an end of season party before, as they know how much of a good night it can be. But not this year !! Name and shame I say. Just a few thoughts on why the end of season party was a no go, gossip from the terraces or should I say gripes. The fixture list was an absolute joke, far to many blank race nights in the height of the summer, and people like myself find other things to do, I pick up my fishing cap instead of my speedway cap, it dosent worry the wife as long as I'm out. No one can account for injuries, and I don't wish that upon any rider, but I for one didn't attend some meetings due to having more dam guests that are own riders. Cant say I have adjusted to this so called top league, and the promise of seeing the top riders every week as yet again they seem to be missing more often than not, and us fans have had to pay for this no show, this is not only a dig at Somerset, but blimey these guys were available when we didn't have fixtures. You will always get people that moan about everything has gone up in price, and yes it comes as a pinch, and possibly we have to adjust on something else, but that is sadly a sign of the times, and some may feel its not warranted, but if you were married to my wife you would have to listen to that every bloody time she goes shopping. My answer, you want to go to speedway darling it costs me a fortune In the previous 5 seasons not including last season I had only missed 2 meetings, and to me the standard of racing although good in some parts, has not been no where near as good in previous years. For me to keep people on board, you need to be friendly, keep your loyal fans updated, appreciated that we do spend our money at your establishment, and stop and think before you let off steam at your customers. My thoughts for 2018.................................................. Lets win the bloody lot
  9. no didn't go I don't know what has happened there Steve, as for some reason it seems I have been credited for the 2nd post which starts... "Its pretty easy ", which isn't mine I was answering that post, which was originally posted by womble53
  10. It's pretty easy to criticise when you don't know the facts. If I was feeling a little less generous, I might even say that your comment's a bit of a cheap shot really. Had you bothered to come to the meeting, you might not hold that view. Firstly Garry asked a few of riders to guest in place of Josh, but they refused, so it wasn't for the lack of trying. So as a result he decided to go with RR at one and a guest for Paddy, and Edward answered the call very late in the day, and was prepared to come, unlike some others who were asked. Secondly he has had some great performances at the Oaktree in the past, and at one time was extremely hard to beat around the track. Granted his more recent outing at the OTA have been nothing to write home about, but as Stuart Robson once observed when putting in a great guest performance for the Rebels, 'It's much easy to ride for a team than it is to ride against it as a visitor', which is a sentiment that EK appears to have proved tonight. no need to be generous, I say shoot from the hip. who do you feel is my so called cheap shot aimed at ?? if you read my post as it was intended, it is my opinion, which contrary to what you might think but everyone has a right to there own, and not everyone has the luxury of having all the facts first hand as yourself. although in previous discussions they have led to your downfall. And my opinion is still the same, I was hoping there would of been someone who I feel would of been a better guest. I take it you were at Swindon when Kennett guested for us, and for 2 of his heats he went round at the back pulling wheelies, waving to the crowd for the last 2 laps of the heat.. I assume you enjoy that sort of thing, but for someone like myself who has taken half a day off work, driven a 250 mile round trip, and paid my dues at the turnstiles, unlike some, would prefer to see a rider at least try for my team, as that's not the entertainment im looking for, and its not what I pay my money for, but I take it from your mind set you would be happy with that I am a big fan of Mr May and admire the master strokes, and guests, and teams he has put together since he has been involved in the club, to which he deserves a lot of credit, as the club would not be where it is today without all his hard work, dedication, and money he puts in.
  11. have to agree my friend and I eat humble pie, as could not believe it when I read it
  12. sadly my friend you believe wrong ,in my eyes true Poole might not of won without him but he has never pulled up trees for the Rebels, and never really rode well at the OT but hey ho im staying in the warm and welcomed to be proved wrong good luck tonight lads
  13. after reading the news I shant bother with this one, I cannot believe there is not someone better than kennett to guest, have not seen him have a half decent meeting this season. disappointed that I wont be there to say cheerio to the lads, but will keep my money in my pocket as yet another race night full of guests and bloody R/R nevermind l for one hope its a drop down to the championship next season
  14. well I take it you don't get out much then as ive seen plenty of riders excluded for taking there team mate off
  15. seems im not the only one who has been very disheartened by the goings on this season. very disappointed with the so called step up and the promise by the promotion of seeing top top riders week in and week out. and lets face it we have seen possibly 3 and that is ment to no offence to anyone who jumps on a bike and stays on for 4 laps the only thing I can see has come out of this season has been the price hike on everything, and yet getting as good as the same product we have had for years got to the stage where I pick my meetings to attend, as I don't really think I miss it when the season has finished and that will be a first for me
