  1. How long before the Simon Lambert announcement anyone…
  2. I know sorry! I just meant they probably knew over the weekend Tarasenko wouldn’t be back and I’m sure the rule used to be that you had to submit your team 2 days before a meeting meaning they ride Thursday so they must’ve had this all sorted on Monday or Tuesday at the latest.
  3. Because you can’t just call meetings off at the drop of a hat. Every man and his dog knew on Monday that no rain was forecast so why call the meeting off? They probably knew on Sunday or Monday Tarasenko wouldn’t be returning the kl promotion are a joke.
  4. So tarasenko’s agent informed kl on Tuesday afternoon that he wanted to stop riding in the uk and by Wednesday dinner time the change is already been ratified by the bspa hmm smells very fishy. Changes don’t get ratified that quickly do they?
  5. Ahh didn’t know that thanks.
  6. Just ordered the stream for this hoping for a good meeting and hopefully see what all the fuss around Workington track is about hopefully it’s as good as has been described. Not really quite sure how this meeting will go obviously newbies for Workington still getting adjusted to there home track and most of the Redcar side haven’t ridden here before, think Redcar need a big meeting from Danny King today otherwise it could be a long afternoon for them.
  7. Re the helmet situation didn’t Harris ride at Oxford the previous night? I’m assuming his erm helmet would’ve been checked then? He didn’t fall during the meeting so surely it should be safe and sound the following evening.
  8. I know the word legend gets thrown about far too easily nowadays but the guy is an absolute legend of British speedway! I know it’s a bit of a standing joke of who is Harris guesting for tonight but one thing is sure the day he retires speedway will be all the poorer for it.
  9. I think the general consensus is it’s generated a lot of interest purely because she’s a woman but say for example they had signed Adam Roynon there wouldn’t be half the interest there’s been for Celina so you could call it a bit of a pr stunt I’d say it’s got people talking and social media and other outlets have taken an interest in this signing… Look at the facts though she’s had 13 rides to date in 3 meetings and she’s scored 2 points there are so many unemployed riders who could’ve scored that and better and that’s a fact it’s nothing to do with her gender.
  10. Wait until they come up against similar standard reserves? Hmm… one of Berwick’s reserves hasn’t ridden at this level before same as Sam and the other had a handful of meetings and comes in on the same average as your other reserve so don’t really understand that comment… although they need a few more meetings than two but if they carry on in that vein then it places a lot of pressure on the top 5 which is a risk as some of them are going to tracks for the first time.
  11. Just seen a post on Facebook from the Workington page and Cook is riding.
  12. Didn’t see the match but is Dickson not trying to get some home advantage? And make Berwick a difficult place to go too.

    Speedway Star

A decent issue of the bumper edition my only personal gripe is that the National league didn’t have the same cover as the premiership and championship they usually do but maybe with less teams they didn’t bother.

But the NDL have slightly changed the rules to suit one team I totally get why they done that mind but it just opens a can of worms for other teams to try and do surely? You don’t want a young rider potentially missing out as was the case with Perry I think but rules should be equal for the three leagues surely? But at the same time the other promoters are partly to blame for not signing the young lad in the first place imo.

Hopefully nobody touches him if/when he’s available again… made himself look a right tool with his high and mighty innocent statement after he’d already failed a drugs test… more importantly though let his team down badly.

Not sure the Birmingham fans will agree with that.

Me either but you only have to look at how workington are struggling to get the last rider and sometimes beggars can’t be choosers. Unless they could do a short term deal with someone like Ellis how Birmingham did I don’t really see many options imo.

    Plymouth Gladiators 2024

He hasn’t but I don’t think anyone agrees he’s improved by 2 points? Choices look slim for Plymouth so unless Riss wants to do it then maybe BWD is the next best shot.

    Plymouth Gladiators 2024

I’m not saying his average should be dropped by 2 points but he should be eligible to a discount if Janowski has had one and they’ve plucked a figure out the air for Milik as ever just a bit of consistency would be good.

    Plymouth Gladiators 2024

Good memory! Just checked the updates site and he did indeed ride against Stoke 2 points from four rides.

    Plymouth Gladiators 2024

Is that all he rode for us? Could’ve swore it was more! Either way signing a number 1 to score 1 point is shocking whatever way you look at it.

Janowski has been reassessed though hasn’t he? Not saying it’s right but one rule for one.

Take what riders say with a pinch of salt… apparently Richie Worrall didn’t take any drugs but failed a drugs test haha.
