  1. A bit of a deafening silence here, BT. Which charities have benefited in previous years? Surely if it is a charity event then there should have been a declaration regarding the monies passed on to good causes. Perhaps you should drop a line to the participating clubs and then hopefully you would be kind enough to let us know the answer.

If you go to Manchester velodrome any young kid can hire a bike and have a go on the track in a taster session to see if they like it. If they do, they can take up the sport and some of the youngsters that started this way have gone right to the top of the sport. Speedway tracks need to adopt the same thinking and get youngsters in on low powered machines and in a controlled environment to bring forward naturally talented youngsters. You can't just sit back and wait for divine intervention or some opportunity to bend the rules to save having to make too much effort.

So it'll probably come down to who turns up with the snazziest race suit and has a good grasp of foreign languages

So the moral of the story is get your team put together early doors and spend some time and effort bringing local youngsters into the sport. If you do these things then you probably won't have to attempt to bend the rules to get one over on the teams who believe in the rules as written and equally importantly have some idea of the spirit of the rules. I wasn't actually being serious. I was extracting the urine.

So when did he first apply for a British passport? If he has been living here for years then surely he is not only just getting round to banging his application in.

I shall watch for you jumping up and down and cheering loudly after heat 2.
  8. Birmingham 2018

Is that right? So do you reckon his passport has now arrived or is it still lost in the Christmas post? Surely, Birmingham would realize that a move like that would be resented by many fans or are they trying to woo potential Polish punters through the turnstiles?

That can't be right, can it? But then he has ridden in the MDL for Coventry in 2016 and I notice it said next to his name "awaiting British passport". Kyle Roberts was in the same MDL squad So his passport has probably now arrived and he is as British as the rest of us.

Well, I have booked my seat for Good Friday when Coventry come to visit. Kean only has to beat the likes of Ryan MacDonald and Jamie Halder, so no problem there then.

This gets more depressing by the minute! Surely, if he's that poor then his dad should have had a word in his ear and suggested taking up football or some other namby pamby sport instead. It'll be a bit embarrassing if he's half a lap behind in the reserves race.
  12. Belle Vue Colts 2018

Wow, that's depressing. Hope he's been doing a lot of practice over the winter months.
  13. I think you will find that the world champion wins it by half a length from the home town hero and the crowd go wild. You know I'm right.

So, why have BV taken him on? Perhaps they know something that is not evident to us mere mortals. If they had not taken K. Dicken, who could they have had instead?

Any old-timers that could be tempted away from their slippers and pipe? Oops sorry. Didn't mean to use the "P" word.
