    Ipswich 2019

Oh dear...... Looks like my bank account will be better off by £18 a week this year!

    Ipswich 2019

It will be interesting to see if Louis trys to regain control of the club from Chapman in the coming months. Certainly this move back up is not working out as alot of us would have hoped.

Nicholls over Harris any day of the week.... Nicholls cares about this town and club for Harris it would just be a pay cheque.

    Ipswich 2019

Oh no not Harris please..... If he arrives I'll give 2019 a miss we'll be so weak,

Nice shout but he has already stated in the speedway star that it's GP's and Poland only for him this year.

Could Buster Chapman and Marcus Evans be related?

    Ipswich 2019

Heeps it is then...... That tells me they still haven't got the top end sorted that's a worry although I guess it means the reserves are signed!

Oh dear and so this debate rumbles on....... Yawn!

    Ipswich 2019

To be honest it doesn't matter if Ipswich speedway is Louis sole income or not. That should have been taken into account when buster was looking and the buying the club and the budget to run the club increased to allow Louis to take a full time wage if that is required. At the moment it looks like the Ipswich public have been shafted just so that Buster can keep the top flight going. Any positives from when the announcement of moving up was made seem long gone. I was feeling positive back in November I mean moving up Louis in charge with financial backing from buster and a great sponsor I felt sure we could attract a couple to decent heat leaders....... Now it appears the finance is so poor that we won't even talk to Nicholls as the terms are embarrassing! Our last season in the top flight almost finished the club. A combination of top flight politics a weak team which resulted to crowds dropping to dangerously low figures on face value no one seems to have learned from 2010!

The way things are going he'll have points money as an Ipswich rider.

    Ipswich 2019

I'm starting to think that Ipswich were backed into a corner and forced to move up to save the premiership. Perhaps a case of premiership or no speedway as the bspa tried to save the flagship league! The longer this all drags on the less convinced I am that this what Louis and Ipswich as a club wanted. The amount of work that has been put in recent years in terms of naming competitive teams social media updates and interaction with the supporters seems to have been wiped out and replaced with the Chapman silence blanket. The club didn't appear to be for sale and Ipswich were planning championship speedway again at the end of last season.

My cencern is that all the smart money seemed to have Doyle as heading to ipswich. That apparently fell through due to money and now if the rumours are to be believed the terms we can offer are so bad that we won't even embarrassing Nicholls by offering a deal. If that's true we would seem knackered!

    Fingers crossed you're right!

It's an indictment of the sport of speedway unfortunately. The way the media covers the sport is a direct result of how speedway has governed it's self over at least the last 30 years..... The old saying reap what you sow!

Oh dear still debating this are we. Can we just except that speedway is a minority sport that struggles to attract a combinded audience of 20k a week from all its venues and that the mainstream press and 99% of the general public have no Idea what speedway is or who Tai Woffinden is. Just to show how important it is almost a month on and I have no Idea who one and to honest don't really care. I'd better not even get you lot started on the new years honours list!

Who would have the higher Average Nikki Pedersen or Greg Hancock? As neither of these will ever ride in the UK again just offer the highest average one a contract then they can withhold their services and we can use guests. It's about the only way we stand of being half competitive

    New Year's Resolution

Watching my first elite hockey league game on free sports Sheffield v Nottingham....... Maybe the bspa should make a resolution to take a close look at how to run a fast paced adrenaline filled family sport. I'm sure not all those present came by the tag of bring a friend...... And now there playing the national anthem oh happy days!

The clue is in the title it's BBC sports personality not sports personality so will always focus on BBC sports. However I agree that no mention of Ronnie, Ivan or Tai is terrible. Having said that I haven't watched the bloody thing for 20 years I got fed up of the beeb blowing smoke up a few over inflated ego's rear ends!
  22. Spl77

    Ipswich 2019

I think he highlighted Hancock for a reason

Still looking forward to the big signings then

    Ipswich 2019

Louis was seen at the Kraków Christmas Market setting up a stall...... The worrying aspect is Ipswich have plenty of Eastern European assets.
