For me...'Flint' is enigmatic! One week he's beating Woffinden/C.Holder, next week he looks like its his first time on a bike!? Not sure if his equipment is up to scratch, or his mental application isn't always there...so to speak? His reactions are questionable....never seems to get out the start....you've either got it or you haven't!? He was a revelation at the age of 15....but I cant see him hitting the heights of Brennan and co. Hope to be proved wrong!

Ha ha.... after last time (Gulp!) I've learnt that silence probably is 'louder' .... especially on this occasion ? It's disappointing as you most probably agree. We (supporters) could see the signs before a wheel was turned....makes you wonder what the so called experts ( management and co...) vision was ? In defence, if there is one? Yes, B'ham were 2nd best yet again from the gate (apart from 4 Heats) but....I have to question where was the grip on the track, because no way is it better for racing than last season! Yes it might be smoother....but there's no racing lines! No doubt, the club will come up with the same old excuse that the weather forecast affected track prep etc.....and I get that....but what's the point in just getting a track ready, just so that the meeting goes ahead? Resulting in slick/boring/monotonous racing! We saw the difference when the rain hit at around Heat 9/10....a couple of 'reasonable heats...which no doubt helped 'Worral' win his only point scoring race... It's not looking good going forward.... Pawliki looks like he'll come good when they give him some grip!

That's a fair point! Becker hasn't ridden many times at PB, but he has improved every time I've seen him! Have to see with Pawlicki....I dont know what to expect? But apart from Nicholls, I think the other B'ham riders will struggle to cope with Leicesters main 5! If B'ham Reserves don't outscore Leicester's by at least double...then there's no hope at all! Drew Kemp is easily capable of beating Cook and Flint if he gates!

Just throwing another 'issue' in to the do they/don't they, run a meeting based on weather forecast? I think its fair to say that the majority of 'speedway' fans want to see close/competitive racing? Well....bear with me...I'm getting to the point Sometimes.....because of the 'forecast' (possible rain)....track prep is hindered ? ..i.e they don't water the track in advance....therefore, the surface is extremely slick/dusty, which makes for 'processional' racing....which doesn't raise much enthusiasm imo! Therefore....I'd vote for a call-off, over a 'cr#p' meeting!

It's always a damned if you do/don't scenario....as a kid I'd have been gutted...but, as an 'old-git', financial costs, plus entertainment value are more prevalent, so 'caution' always wins the day for me. A nostalgic memory.... As a 7 year old (1974) my dad took me to watch B'ham away at Barrow...(mid-week- 350 mile round trip) only for it to be called off when we got there ! Madness/passion/dedication....take your pick!

Just a suggestion? may be a bit premature? but wouldn't it be wise to replace Lampart with Riss ? Surely Riss would hit the ground running being an ex Brummie...I'm certain he would've scored more than Lampart at Perry Barr....which could have been enough to win the first 2 home meetings?
