Hi racers and royals, cheers for everything you do on this thread......

I know it's early days, and I do follow Premier Sports when possible, but who is riding well this season? I guess I'm thinking current averages, though I don't know how easy / clear they are to find for this season short of using Speedway Updates and working it all out.......... what I really want to know is how is Robert Lambert going in comparison to others........ would he be top 15 so far this season?

    Cheers for reading

    James

I opted for the £11.99 - monthly package which is a rolling contract and says you can cancel at anytime

Hi TelfordWolf, thanks for the heads up....... is this offer only for people who would watch it through Sky? I've been to their website but can only see a 6 month contract for online users

I’m confident to say that there was nothing wrong with the substance he was taking. He was hydrated and if the substance was illegal we’d know.

The method itself was against the doping rules. So it was not about doping as in drugs, but as in methods used. His blood was altered so there is a slight chance that what ever traces of something   was there faded away.

I’m from Finland so I know about blood manipulation.  google Lahti 2001 to find out more.

I 'think' it's all sports, yeah? Again, I think Sami Nasri, the French footballer, was banned for receiving IV therapy

BUT... It is no joke, the women's toilets are generally a lot worse than the men's. Most people I know who clean will tell you that... Sorry ladies...

...also, generally, on the whole, women are hairier than men....... but only on the hole

He is already banned. I have a lot of time for Neil but for one reason or another he always gives the impression  that he knows more than he is letting on but there is some  reason why he will not tell.

And Crump99 said (sorry, don't know how to multiquote)

'He's already said elsewhere that one of the management team banned him anyway and even if that wasn't the case then while the current Blue Badge situation continues he couldn't attend anyway. Therefore it's not logical to suddenly roll over so easily without a better reason than that given. '

Apologies, my thought was the current regime had said 'back off or we'll ban you'......... so I apologise for saying Neil had been got at......... still, we could all stand outside the gate for the first meeting, refusing to go in, and talking others out of going in........ til at least the current regime rethought their views

I'm not holding my breath there.  I'm still pretty stunned at the pulling of the petition off the back of one conversation with zero details whatsoever made public.

After all that fuss aswell.  Sadly sums up things over the years in speedway - those on the inside are quite happy to clam up when pushed for details from the paying public.

I'm sure some would say he's been told 'Pull it or you're banned', though we'll deny saying that....... I'm not saying I say that, but some would.......

Bin the averages let teams sign who they want  .  Speedway s on it s knees in this country  let's see how we go

How about a compromise........36.00 limit for team building, but for the lower 6 riders only. 7th rider could be whoever you wanted. Even have different riders sharing that 7th spot, although they could only ride for 1 team a season........

Do you know, I'm not entirely sure. I think the GP reserves don't come from the Challenge as they have previously, but I thought the qualifiers did.

I see R&R has quoted the relevant rule.

Ah, yep, now you say that, I think that's what I have misunderstood......... thanks

    No you are wrong

8.6 FIM SGP World Championship Qualifying System The total SGP points scored by each Rider having taken part in the FIM SGP World Championship Series during the season shall be shown on the Final Overall SGP Classification of that year. The current year’s Final Overall SGP Classification after removing any Rider having finished in the top 8, but having withdrawn from the SGP for the following year before the following year’s line-up has been published shall determine the Rider’s qualifications for next year’s SGP Championship as follows: • The top 8 Riders of the Final Overall SGP Classification (including any qualified Nominated Substitute Rider) will be directly qualified for the following year’s SGP Series. • The top 3 Riders from the FIM SGP World Championship Qualification Meetings (Art. 71a) will be directly qualified for the following year’s SGP Series. Should a Rider who has qualified from these Qualification Meetings also be in the top 8 of the Final Overall SGP Classification of that year, then the next available Rider from the FIM SGP World Championship Qualification Meetings will be selected. • 4 Additional Riders will be nominated by the SGP Commission. • 1 Wild Card Rider decided in accordance with Art. 3.5.

Ha, I must have dreamt it!!! Thanks for the clarification

If any two of Matej Zagar, NKI or Martin Vaculik finish in the top 8, then Anders Thomsen qualifies from the Challenge.

If all three get into the top 8, then Pontus Aspgren also gets in.

Hi False Dawn, not trying to pick an argument, but is that definitely true this year? I'm sure I read / heard that the rules had changed....... I could be very wrong!

    Cheers

Big nights for Kurtz and Covatti. Should Covatti find 8 points then the rebels are in with a sniff, given his recent form should Kurtz find the track it might be considered a success. For the Brummies if Paco continues his 50/50 strike rate & Morris continues to be rider of the league then there should be plenty of points against the home side especially as Shanes is a different level of rider at home than he has shown so far.

With your views on Covatti, is there any chance you could choose 6 numbers between 1 & 49............. no reason :)

It's already been stated  the reason was to cut the budget which is nothing but a sick joke as 4/5 week ago the team was given the green light . Then Buster muscles in and disrupts everything. That always going to be a problem when someone has the monopoly of 3 clubs and is also the BSPA chairman. Hardly independent is he .

Excuse my ignorance but who would decide as to whom is eligible for the 2.5% discount? Could the other 4 promoters have ganged up, said Harris rode 3rd tier too long ago?

Can’t see Tungate coming to Lynn, well I hope not anyway. Firstly we would be in the same senario as with Bomber in that we would have to get rid of two riders to accommodate him and as we are reasonably loyal to our riders I just can’t see that happening and secondly he’s usually totally rubbish around the AFA.

Fair enough, to be honest I don't know much about Tungate, he's kind of passed me by.........

How on earth would that work? If Peterborough can't afford Harris, how can they afford Iversen who is a GP rider?

I hear what you're saying......... I don't particularly believe cost was the issue...... I (and I have nothing to back this up) think it was easier, if there was a bit of an argument re the 2.5% reduction,  to jiggle things around. Plus I remember reading that NKI wasn't too impressed with the effect the KL track was having on his shoulder.
