    Polish Extraleague 2020

I wonder if Smektala will change his mind now about leaving Leszno.
  2. I'm Polish, but the Polish domination of the sport doesn't really seem healthy. Unfortunately, there are a lot of selfish "patriots" amongst those managing Polish speedway on organisational level that some ideas promoting foreign riders can't really pass with them steering it. They didn't let Latvians into Extraleague. They won't agree for one U21 rider to be a foreigner. Polish clubs like Sparta Wroclaw act really selfish marrying Chugunow to a Polish wife so he can get nationalized. That rid Russians of probable medal at U21 World Championship yesterday. This year is kinda weird, because Poland was actually one of the few stable European countries during post-lockdown phase of the pandemic, where you could host events comfortably on the regular with crowd attending (with some minor exceptions). But I'm really afraid that it's a step towards shrinking of the sport. Not sure what the future brings. Something really needs to be done before speedway becomes a travelling circus like F1. Also, I saw Speedway in Britain doesn't really attract younger crowds, why is that?
  3. KeirStarmerFan and Steve Shovlar in shambles. Two weeks ago they kept claiming that Zmarzlik is crying and looking for excuses. Now all the Anlas riders are riding way, way worse. Sad! Anlas tyres - 60 shores Mitas tyres - 70 shores Cheaters struggle without illegal tyres.
  4. maybe if GPs were earlier he'd be at the top, he struggled vs. Lublin not that long ago
  5. allegedly they signed 2-year sponsor deals with their tyre provider and they can't use others
  6. it is homologated, but our experts claim that they change the composition of the tyre AFTER getting the homologation
  7. not only Zmarzlik it seems, 10 riders can't use them
  8. big drama in Polish speedway media about Turkish tyres, have you guys heard something too in Britain?
  9. Przedpelski? are you serious? have you seen his performance in Czestochowa this season? so GP winners in each club: Torun - NKI, Doyle, Chris Holder, Rune Holta FZG - Pedersen, Dudek, Vaculik, MJJ Leszno - Kolodziej, Sayfutdinov, Hampel, Piotr Pawlicki Wroclaw - Janowski, Woffinden Grudziadz - Lindbaeck, Bjerre Gorzow - Zmarzlik, Kasprzak, Kildemand Czestochowa - Lindgren, Madsen, Zagar, Miedzinski Lublin - Andreas Jonsson
  10. You're right about the track, but past attempts to do something to surprise the away teams failed miserably. We even changed a bit of track geometry in 2017 and it didn't do nothing. If we changed the track drastically it'd take some time to adjust for our riders and we didn't have that comfort since we were struggling with staying in the league. Anyway, we'll raise Nice League standards with our stadium!
  11. I'm from Torun and it's really sad news. We've never been relegated since we joined Extraleague in 1976. We 100% deserve it, it already would have happened back in 2017 if not for Grigorij Laguta's suspension after using doping. Hopefully something will change now, with management and youth training. It'll be sad to part with Jason Doyle, who has phenomenal season this year. Anyway, hopefully we'll be back in a couple of years since finances are really stable!
  12. Poland strong no brits hehe
  13. terrible crash in heat 1. Sergiej Logachev taken to hospital. TV reporters said that they don't have any good news, first reports are talking about spinal injury. He wasn't moving his legs. Send your best wishes and prayers and let's hope everything will work out
