  1. As I have stated earlier, having seen the video of the Cook incident it clearly shows the marshal with the flag deliberately step into the path of the bike at the last second requiring Cook to put his feet down to slow the bike. This shows that Cooks intention was not to ride into the marshal but to slow down when the marshal stepped in front of him, that is clear. But and this is the thing no one comes out of this smelling of roses, The marshal acted recklessly if not foolishly at the best by stepping in front of a bike with no brakes. Cook who is a professional sportsman SEVERLY over reacted to the situation, yes there may have been booing and jibes but without his over reaction the scrum and the handbags would not have taken place. Like I said with what went on that night no one comes out of this looking good, Cook, the marshal, Glasgow, Eastbourne, and not least speedway
  2. I did not attend this meeting, but have viewed the video of the Craig Cook incident, I am not a Craig Cook fan but the footage clearly shows the marshal step into the path of Cook and his bike (with no brakes). While none of the ensuing mayhem can be condoned, none of this would have happened had the marshal not stepped in front of Cooks bike as he went to pass on the left hand side of the marshal
  3. I have used the same company logo and colours for 25 years , and would be very reluctant to change them just because some fat twit had his own agenda
  4. Not all the riders offered contracts agreed
  5. Cookie and other riders were not happy with the contracts from early December, I saw one and advised the rider not to sign it ( far to restrictive ). As a sponsor for over 10 years I would not be happy with my branding and company logo being in colours other than the ones I always use and endorse.
  6. No sorry I am not trolling, I like Ged, but like all promotors his public comments are not always accurate, at the time of that interview 1 if not more of the riders had not signed a contract.
  7. I hear another rider is not coming to the show ground next year because of the restrictions in the contract Not allowing a rider to have his own personal sponsors on his bike covers is wrong I just hope Buster enjoys his big kickback from the BT deal
  8. 2 Might be right but has anyone actually signed yet?

The problem is if you cannot offer your sponsors the coverage they have had in previous years they will leave, and when next year you ride for a different club with less restrictive practices you will struggle to regain your old sponsors

Riders have a revenue stream from sponsors on their covers No sponsors means less income , would you sign that?
