    Newcastle Vs Edinburgh {1.6.14 At 6.30}

Yes but Robbo and Kerr are a well established partnership (our best partnership) and I think splitting them up would be a step backwards for the team. Ludvig is not a great number 5 but it allows him to ride his own race, if his partner out gates him Ludvig will always try and team ride him home but generally I think he likes to gate and go or be able to chase (we just need to give him a track to do it). I still think one of the main issues is the track, still does not seem to be enough dirt on the outside for Robbo and especially Ludvig. Good performance on Sunday, better than I thought, just a shame about the result, bit of over riding by some, but you can't fault them for trying. On a separate note: I think Cookie is a class act and enjoy his visits to Brough, I personally think he is too good for this league but think his inclusion only makes the league better and stronger.
  2. With the successful training school you are running Dave, I've heard George is going for a middle order rider with a lot of experience under his belt. Better dust off those kevlars, your team needs you!!!!
  3. If that is the case that is 17/7/14, by which time, wtf is the point in making changes. We will be well out of all competitions if the team continues in the same vein. I can only assume that changes made were based around getting Lambert, but what I don't understand is why did we not submit the proposed new team and when it was rejected just not go ahead with it, nobody would have been any the wiser and the promotion would have just had to apologies to DK and say we can't fit him in, he's a big lad, I'm sure he would have gotten over it. We have now dropped ourselves right in it and I can't see anyway out of it. WE are now expecting a lot from Schramm and Rose and practically expecting King to get 13-15 points a meeting. Also I spotted this on the Diamonds report from last night: The bright spark on a dismal night was the debut from new boy Danny King who soon proved that he aims to live up to his new nickname, the King of Diamonds when he took two fine wins and ac couple of seconds to hit double figures. I fail to see how his performance was a bright spark, or is that just me. I like Danny and I think he will do a great job for us and entertain home and away fans but to call his performance last night a bright spark, REALLY!!! I agree with everyone that changes had to be made but I think we have done more harm than good with these changes. One more thing that we have to sort out is the teams performance after the intervals. Whether we are 2 points up down or in the middle we completely fall apart after the interval. We seem to be fine, Jonny grades the track in the interval and we can't cope, can I make a suggestion, if the track is OK and we are beating the opposition, don't grade the track. Rant over. (prepares to be shot down) PS. On another note, I hope that Rose is OK and is not sidelined for too long. PPS. It pains me to say it but congrats to Redcar, you were the better team and fully deserved the win and I hope you kick on from this victory.

    Newcastle Diamonds 2014

Just looked at the photos on Facebook and the air fence and track look amazing, don't think I have seen it look as good in a long time. Well Done to everyone who has helped from one very grateful fan, it is the hard work you guys put in that goes a long way to enable the Diamonds to race week in week out. I wish I could help out but just don't have the time. Really looking forward to this Sunday for the practice and then the following Sunday for the 1st match of the season. Bring it on.

    Newcastle Diamonds 2014

Yeah totally agree about the meeting, I think we needed two 5-1's and a 4-2 in the last 3 heats and managed to pull it off. I remember the Bodger crash as well, very very sad incident, I was on my hols at the time in Lanzarote and read it in the papers. What spent a couple of years at Middlesbrough and thought f**k this and retired and went to live back in Aus!!! Totally agree that he saw sense.

I was but think the victory over Peterborough in the same competition was better, the year before I think!!

    Newcastle Diamonds 2014

Lets hope the practice day is not as bloody freezing cold as it was last year!!! Looking forward to seeing the Diamonds take to the track and the alterations that have been made.

    Newcastle Diamonds 2014

I would have Christian, not sure about Ludvig, when he is onit he is one of the best riders to watch, he just seems to every year have that low patch when he can't buy a point/big score and for that I did not include him.

    Ipswich 2014

No Lanham, he has tweeted that Ippo have told him to look elsewhere!!

    Redcar Bears 2014.

I'm sure he scored a brilliant 15 point maximum for the Diamonds against the Bears at STMP a couple of years ago as well (I think)!!

    Redcar Bears 2014.

I would have thought a "big-hitting No 1 to spearhead the team’s Premier League charge next year" and someone "he’ll go out and get 10 points every meeting,” said Havelock" won't come cheap as well as rider that will turn heads so maybe the money is in place??? Maybe he has found a pot of gold somewhere or he is paying them with hopes and dreams. What about David Howe, he generally rides your place well??

Had not put them in racing order as would also swap Robbo and Rosen around.

Will never get Nick Morris after his comments on Twitter, he hates Brough Park!! How many teams is this you have compiled, your fantasy league bill must be enormous!!! ha ha

    Newcastle Diamonds 2014

That team will do for me, Not sure of his average but Ludvig might be swapped for Henry?? Lambert is the big one, if we can get him might be a good partner with Worrall and no doubt will spur Lewis on as well, not that he needs it. Hopefully Lewis can convince Lambert that a move to Newcastle would be a good idea, fingers crossed.
  18. Great result for the Diamonds last night in a hard fought match between two very good sides, with riders from both sides having off nights. As people have said, our Play Off Final hopes are in the hands of the Bears now. Nice constructive criticism of Newcastle's track last night by Morris, with further comments by Holder and Rosco. NOT!!!!
  19. I agree with a few who have said he should have gone a year ago and I could not understand why you brought him back again this year. If you do not think you can make the playoffs and I am not suggesting you can't but last nights defeat will make it difficult, you should try and get someone in now, maybe an assessed foreigner so he is ready for next year. Or you could try Palm Toft, can't be any worse as to be honest, Kus is woeful and has been for a long time. Good Luck in the search.
  20. Yes good performance 10+1, have checked scores from previous weeks and he is averaging about 5 points with a couple of zero scores, looks a handy signing. Looking forward to seeing him have a spin next week after the meeting.
  21. Have to agree with you on that one, was the highlight of the meeting as far as I am concerned, that and C Henry's paid max. Lawson did run Richie wide in one race and it made him more determined to make sure it did not happen again, seemed to be some needle between them, but lead to some good first couple of bends between them. I have to agree with Robbo in his after match interview when he said Christian was on fire, everything just seemed to click for Henry and he seems to be in a good bit of form. Ludvig still seems a bit lacklustre to me and the partnership with Tully seems a bit hit/miss. Still can't fathom how Richie Worrall is not riding in SWC and Kennett is!!!! Its a mystery. Stayed for the junior match afterwards and was very impressed with the Comets mascot who did a few laps during races, very very impressive, anyone who his age and how long he has been riding?

    Redcar V Ipswich Pl 4/7/13

More like "Glass Houses" and something about "throwing stones". If they do have a big delay again this week, people will probably start voting with their feet, if they have not already!!!! Should be a good meeting though, Ippo appear to be the form team away and Redcar are quite handy at home. Away win by 3-4 points.
  23. Think George may punch the air with delight if we pass 35 and do a friggin dance if we pass 40. Hopefully not a massacre and we can keep it close.
  24. Will be a real test this one for the Diamonds and as is so often the case, it will depend which Diamonds team turns up. The races between R Worrall, S Robson and C Cook should be box office and the Monarchs demonstrated what a good team they are with the away win at Somerset (which I heard was a cracker, did not see it myself). We have a good solid four in Richie, Robbo, Ludvig and Henry and good backup with Tully who hopefully can show all the Monarchs fans what they are missing. Hopefully Kerr can continue his good form and Steve can start to get some points on the board, his lack of point scoring is becoming a concern. Ludvig for me needs to find some form away from home (and in general, seems to be scoring OK in the Elite!!!!) and fast and put the disappointment of a poor showing at home to Ipswich behind him. I think that the Monarchs will progress into the next round but I only expect it to be via the narrowest of margins over the two rounds. Good Luck to both sets of riders and here's to an injury free meeting.
  25. Think I might have too as I have cancelled my Sky Sports subscription, bloody typical. Suppose I will get to sample those great chips after the meeting as well.
