Is wimborne road used for anything else?

I know they've said after 2024 they don't know where they'll be, surely with the Fords backing they could buy land and build their own stadium?

Why would any businessman want to do that with the sport in its current state ?

it would take years of good crowds to even come near getting your investment back , assuming you could actually find anywhere suitable to build such a facility in or even near Poole.

Take it Wright and King didn't fancy it in Heat 13 and 15 then?

Getting beaten 2/3 3/3 by Sedgman is woeful.

you could have listened to both team managers about gate positions being the most important part of the night before typing such a comment , so try reading the gate positions and working out who had 1 & 3 in those heats and why Bears got the vital 1-5 in heat 14.

Whatever happened to Jordan Stewart who was injured at Brum in 2021? Will he ever come back to speedway?

Whilst he’s back riding bikes he’s had to have a number of operations on his injuries and it sadly seems his UK speedway days are over .

Great little league with no or little promotion

Some of the clubs do promote , they have their own Facebook groups/page but please remember the team managers have a lot on their plates trying to run the teams , perhaps the ‘ league co-ordinator’ could do more ? but promote what ? Those involved seem to know what’s going on and it’s never going to attract a crowd on its own two feet, it’s a junior league followed by family, friends and the die hards who stop back to watch the extra races. It’s a great league with a long history,  but like the rest of the sport,  it is really struggling this year.

It’s “ swings and roundabouts” the main problem is the riders are dictating the sport.IMO.It should be the other way round, but self interest is what really matters to Promotions.

Of course it does, it’s their business that’s at stake , we have known that for donkeys years.

    Yeah, no, for sure...

It's the final set at Wimbledon, Alcarez and Djokovic have been locked in a titanic battle, the crowd are expectant to see who the champion will be, the umpire calls "new balls please"... everybody clears the court and a load of kids come pouring in, nobody has any new balls ready, somebody will have to go off to Sports Direct to get some, I hope they're open, umpire puts a "back in 15 mins" sign on his chair and disappears

It's the FA Cup final Man City & United in front of a full house at Wembley, it's one goal a piece, surely the next goal wins it, 10 minutes to go, the ball develops a puncture... everybody off, where's the puncture repair kit? There's 83,000 fans out there! What shall we do? Ah... send some kids out onto the pitch to throw a load of bean bags about. But there's a ball there we could use... NO! it's not got the right stamp on it

    smh

You’re just fishing for another argument. You clearly have ‘ issues’, patience being one of them.

Yeah, no, for sure, so there's rain threatening, you've had 20 excellent heats of Speedway all building up to a big semi and final and then you stop for 15 minutes, bring a load of kids out to play on the centre green... that's exactly why the sport will never be anything again in this country. It should all have been about theatre but no somebody has got to put a stamp on a tyre, that if it isn't used could easily be used at the next meeting, I don't really care how it works at the moment, it needs to work better, get with it my friend, the writing is on the wall for the sport in this country, born out by the attendance today.

The rules on tyres are there to prevent cheating, they used to cheat so they brought a rule in to stop it. Now it doesn’t suit you because you can’t wait ten minutes so you want it changed, the sport is in decline , for lots and lots of reasons, moaning about having to wait whilst everyone gets a fare crack at winning a meeting is probably one of them.

Yeah, no, for sure, I've not no... they should have 4 tyres and wheels ready to use then surely

You really don’t know how it works do you….each rider…all 16 of them , should have a spare wheel and a brand new £45 tyre ( unauthorised ) on it….just in case ? A tyre that if they don’t qualify they can’t use at any other meeting !

Think they know what they are dealing with and you just need to be a bit more patient.

Which is exactly the sort of rule that need to be "fixed". Although that's not accurate, Barker wasn't guesting for Ross, he was a temp signing, Ross couldn't return to Ipswich till 28 days was up - but can ride for another team! I wonder if he could've guested against Ipswich?

Not sure about Ross but Barker was a temp signing to replace who ?

hang on, it will come to me…..

    Oh yeah!….Riss !

Yeah, no, for sure... I'd expect that as soon as they knew they were through to the semi or final to start fitting their tyre, why does it take so very long to fit a tyre?

The tyre has to be authorised by the ref, then issued, then fitted preferably without nipping the tube, then inflated, then balanced, then fitted to the bike and chain aligned before final adjustment, in the pit bay with everyone waiting….clearly you have never fitted a speedway tyre.

Yeah, no, for sure... there's been some great Speedway racing from heat 1 through to heat 20 today for sure...

Why though in these events when the riders are allowed a new tyre does it take an eternity to fit them? All momentum is lost from the meeting for the sake of 2 races, just when the tension should be building... it's all lost. Why can't they have these tyres ready to use?

You think they would all have spare rear wheels with new tyres fitted just in case, wouldn’t you !

    Get real.

    King's Lynn

    Wolverhampton

Peterborough all doubtful for next season

Which leaves just 4 teams assuming they all run

    Who can bolster the Premier

Or would they create a new league containing everyone

    Discuss

With question marks over a few championship tracks, Edinburgh ( stadium issues ) Plymouth ( lack of a crowd ) Birmingham ( lack of a crowd and massive financial losses allegedly) and possibly one or two who haven’t gone public with their concerns, then the options are limited.

Only Oxford making noises about moving ‘up’ but to what ?

Im confident enough to form my own opinions from my own experiences. As i said most great champions have a strong arrogant streak, a belief that they will achieve at the highest level. There are also many more who are arrogant, won't be told and have gone on to waste their talents.

So you know him personally ? You know exactly what happened ? and haven’t based your opinion on hearsay and tittle tattle ?

I have my opinion on that.

Kieron Douglas back in Bullets' line-up from next weekend?

So Rathbone gets dumped ? Thought he was doing ok considering his lack of track activity and in the difficult no.2 position.

Haven't seen Liebmann ride in the flesh but if she is CL standard i do wonder if a team would give her a shot just for the great PR? Although I guess she would come in on an assessed 4?

As for the few remaining female riders the majority that are active are southern based so picking the northern venues to host was always questionable. Theres also a financially element, an SCB license isn't cheap.... a Nora one is.

If your telling me that only one UK female racer has a SCB licence then it makes it a complete mockery that they held a ‘ Championship ‘ anyway !

Liebmann would come in on a 5 , I asked Mr. Vatcher as I was that impressed with her posting sub 57 second race times on borrowed equipment.

The lady looked good enough to score points in the championship given an opportunity.
