    KENT ROYALS 2020

All very fair points, but with regards to the replacement for Bowen, I think it was more the fact that he was told that he would be getting a phone call from the Kent management, but the phone call never came, then see that they had signed Paul hurry, I think it was at the time, that’s what I had herd but unfortunately we don’t know what goes on behind the scenes, but a shame to not see him ride as of the seasons that he did have for Eastbourne, was involved in some great racing.

    KENT ROYALS 2020

I’ve spoken to jake a couple times, at Eastbourne and other tracks, he has always spoken. Very highly of the Kent track even with the rivalry With Eastbourne, he has also said that he would ride for Kent if the chance ever came up, but not sure what he’s doing with him self at the moment judging by Facebook and other social media he’s just doing motocross at the moment, but would certainly be a great rider to have in the Kent side with his performances, when he last rode.

    Kent Kings 2020?

Age may be just a number but rob is hardly going to be one of GBs stars of the future, this is why the poles and the Danes and every other country has so many youngsters coming through, because they get rid of the dead wood and bring the new blood through, where as we just stick with the same old people all the time and then wonder why the British are not coming through, the reserve spot at championship level should be a British under 21 and be there all year no matter what there average is ,weather they have a couple bad rides or not shouldn’t then we sacked straight away, cos then we get so many of them quit, as what’s the point if you just gunna get sacked after a couple bad rides, People need to open there eyes and look at the big picture here

    Kent Kings 2020?

Yeah but assets mean nothing really now in speedway, there are plenty of other names with the ones you have named, Bickley, Lawlor Smith, Kinsley, Hume, stoneman, Morley, Georgie Wood, and many more, and to pick a 48 year old over any of them is insulting to the sport in my veiw

    Kent Kings 2020?

I think it’s abit of a joke signing tbh. The amount of British youngsters out there who have so much talent and potential and they put a 48 year old man in who’s going no where, no offence to rob but I think this just sums up why British youngesters are so hard to find and come across now,

    My Top 20 Riders

It’s good to see so many riders with high averages but with the uncertainty of the leagues next year and how low the NL points limit is I hope all these riders get fixed up next year with team places. But with how low the NL points limit is I can’t see half of these riders getting a team places if there averages stay the same.

    NL comfort zone.

Think John cooks comments are just ridiculous. The NL is a great product. Let’s be honest John cook knows nothing about speedway as he couldn’t keep up with paying his NL riders last when they was in the NL, so god knows how he keeps up with paying the Eastbourne riders. As for the opponents staying on there bikes well stop lowering the points limit so much and forcing riders to ride above there means. Speedway is a progression sport, so if you dropping the team limit so much there is not point in haveing an MDL/SDL. I find NL good racing. But my personal opinion is that unfortunately this year the NL is a glorified MDL and it’s hard to sell a product like that and get the punters in. But that’s just my opinion. Id like to find out what everyone’s else’s opinion is...........

    Sheffield 2019

And that is not track preps fault I’m sorry but you can give riders the best track in the world but if they don’t race on it it’s not the tracks fault so think we need to get this track problem thing put aside track was no different to brum meeting but oh wait you won that meeting so no complaints what a joke

    Sheffield 2019

I’m sorry but how you can still blame the track is beyond me it was watered regularly. It’s a hot and windy day with the sun beating down on it. And the dirt on the outside line is no joke about 6 Inches deeps. So how you can say it’s the track is a joke the Glasgow team seemed to like it the track was prepped to how the Sheffield riders wanted it. so I think we need to stop making excuses of it being the track now it’s getting abit Of a joke. Not exactly a bad meeting but if it’s not a win we are on the band wagon again of blaming the track. Rant over

    Sheffield's Track Woes

Not really a get what your given at all in this case. Just trying to explain best but one of those things you could make things perfect but there is always gunna be people that are not happy as can’t please everyone at the end of the day. Unfortunately Sunday things happened that there was nothing anyone could do about. But my point on the sale side of things, if at your place of work, you had someone moaning and slating you at every turn when you was trying to do your best and give everything you could is hardly gunna be a happy work environment for you and make you want to stay at that place of work is it not. Nothing to do with blaming the fans at all. But everyone is very quick to get on and have a good moan about things when they are not right you could give riders the perfect race track but if they don’t race on its everyone else that gets the blame. But like we have said everyone is working hard and trying to help out the best we can to make a good race track for and the riders to race on and watch the racing, so if the track is not up to your standards this Sunday then I shall happily let you take my place helping out.

    Sheffield's Track Woes

I think Sheffield would of been at a loss for Sunday’s meeting it’s not one I would expect there earn any money from and track was fit for purpose but as posted you can’t help the bowsers breaking and hour before the start of the meeting

    Sheffield's Track Woes

Unfortunately it’s nothing to do with people not being qualified you can’t help the bearing in the wonder wheel snap and while the tracker drove off it lays in the middle of the track. And a hydraulic hose busting. And obv being a Sunday no wear being open and the bowser springing a leak 1hour before the start of the meeting you honestly couldn’t believe it but the most frustrating thing is knowing how good things could be if it wasn’t for bad luck but as I said will be a different track all together on Sunday

    Sheffield's Track Woes

If you look at my post it was posted Monday morning but had not been approved until yesterday evening. Think some people out forgetting that the promotion our not taking things lightly and our working hard to try and fix things, yes they may not be posting things or keeping people greatly informed but with all the problems they have encountered I don’t think they have to many spare minutes to spare while trying to sort out the problems, but when they are working so hard to get things done right and sorted and you get people on here just slating them all the time is it a wonder why you then have on another thread, that’s someone has herd they have put the club up for sale. Just need to be careful and realise that speedway is not in its strongest state at the moment and we can’t aford to let any more clubs close. So why don’t we actually get behind the club and the sport and get it back to where it should be instead of moaning all the time. They put on Facebook for helpers to help out so why not sign up for that and help the club out so it can thrive again.

    Sheffield's Track Woes

Would like to put a couple of things into perspective for people on here. When turning up at the track at 8 in the morning when aloud to get in the stadium, bends 1/2 and the back straight going into bend 3 where completely underneath water, which took 3 hours to clear with a pump. Then on track prep when actually being able to get a tractor on track, we had a wonder wheel which snapped while trying to air the track out so that was one of the many issues we had to deal with in the day. Next issue was one tractor while on track the hydraulics went so was unable to fit any proper grader on the back of it. Just another one of many issues we had to deal with. But the biggest of once actually being able to dry the track out and getting it level and being lucky to even have a meeting on, the water boweser broke so we was unable to fill it with water as water was coming out faster than we could fill it. But considering we didn’t get any dust till about heat 12 and there as only 14/15 in the meeting I don’t think it was to bad. Also on the grading part if you keep grading all the time and pulling the dirt over the slick it drys it out move and without a water bowser we could only do so much so hopefully that puts and end to alll this slating with all the hard work we put into getting a meeting on for you yesterday. Come next week the issues will all be sorted and you will see a great race track. Thank you all and see you next week thanks a member of track staff!
