From behind the line it appeared Riss got there first  admittedly it was a very close call.  I suppose everyone saw it differently depending on their view.  The ref is  looking at the line and has a millisecond to make his mind up.  Morris's actions were disgraceful especially in front of kids and in any other sport he would have been sent off and received a lengthy ban.

Completely disagree, this is what's missing at meetings, a bit of interaction with the crowd, I was stood right on the line and i never heard any foul language from the rider, just him gesturing to the reff. Indeed from the childrens reactions nr me , they  seemed to enjoy it. Certainly everyone I spoke to afterwards thought it added to the entertainment.

Riders get paid per point as no doubt you are aware, so last night Morris lost 2 points through his machinery stopping, hopefully it wasn't an expensive fix. Then he loses another point because of what he sees is a wrong decision by the ref. Money taken out of his pocket.

Wouldn't you be mad if it was your money?

As for being sent off and a lengthy ban, your having a laugh aren't you? That would only end up as the retirement of another rider.

Thank you for taking the trouble to do that, appreciated.  So Artem would still be in control and that's fair enough as he's been the best on show all season.  Maybe Woofy would be eyeing up a bronze medal if Emil was to have a bad night but other than that, not much difference.

    Thanks again.

No worries i wanted to know myself and there really isn't that much difference, the best man won in the end, I will put all of the riders scores up  later.for you to analyse

    Thanks

Definitely,  I would be interested in what the respective positions would be if we were still using that system this season, might well be similar but I'd still prefer it.

Going into tonight, old way AL 169, BZ 158, ES 115, FL 103. MJ 102, TW 107.

AL has done 69 races and won 45 of them, BZ 67 races 36 wins, then the nearest is woofy on 20 race wins. Biggest gainFL 19pts ES 16pts.

Well... Why don't we on here think up a bullet point list of things that need to be mentioned in a post, and someone who it literate put something together with it? WE could do something...

Hello Ajr, I believe you must be getting me mixed up with someone else as I've never really met up with anyone new at the speedway recently? Although catching up over a beer, I would be down to do that with anyone

Yes, their grandkids, who they look after on a permanent basis... Don't really feel I wanna explain why, but that is the situation... Also, they are not my parents, therefore they're not looking after MY kids, before anyone leaps to that suggestion. Don't really wanna say any more than that on here

Not a problem haha, it's a strange situation, so I understand the question marks raised

National league would drastically reduce the rider wages as far as I know the riders are on a set £20 a point? Could be wrong... Now I don't know what our lads were on this year, but I imagine the likes of Ben and Max were at least £35-40 a point... It would reduce the rider wages significantly, surely? Whilst we are struggling for funds in our initial '£110,000' year where we would have more money to fork over than normal... Then, we can start thinking about moving back up and splashing more on rider wages (if it ever gets to that point)

Haha , me and technology are not the best of mates. Post was meant for Totally Honest John. But if the speedway is running next year I'll hold you to the pint lol.

All sounds very promising? Any real interest from anyone would be great, hope it's enough to keep the club afloat? I'll keep EVERYTHING crossed that it is...

It was nice to meet you the other week, hopefully the speedway can be saved. Still miss supporting the Comets. Once it's gone its hard to bring it back. Will hopefully catch up over a beer

Be interesting to hear from any Plymouth fans that may have bought the stream or if they had the same issue.

it’s a strange one if you had a VPN you could have changed your location.

E Mail the club and ask the question at least you will get a definitive answer rather than asking on here as nobody really knows the reason on here.

I was watching in Workington no problems

This is the issue Mike and its why it hurts so much.... What sport in the world penalises a successful team like speedway; Worky was built in 2018 to win their home matches and get 35 points away from home... they never in their wildest dreams expected to go to Glasgow and Newcastle and score 50 points plus... the home crowd has to pay for the away meeting and 380 on a Saturday night watching Scunthorpe then going to Scunny and getting 50 points down their meant a hit of somewhere around 6 grand... the expectation levels are far to high and the model isn't working IMHO

    Never a truer word said.

Err never a truer word said since the last one

Oh and how true is this statement; couple of years back three of us watching a GP in the Golden Lion in Maryport; just before the semi final run off someone turned the TV over to look at some racing results and there was nearly a riot in the Bar... get that back on we were watching that and there was around 45 in the Bar and I said to them "if you like it that much why don't you get to Derwent Park to watch your local team" to much like hard work; to cold; to expensive; to far away; to many excuses and they all said they loved the sport but would rather sit and watch it on TV and no one was brave enough to ask for it to be put on the TV in the bar... Nuts totally Nuts...

    Regards
    THJ

    Must go sorry...

Do you still go to maryport?

  8. Awesome work ajj year from the ss team to put together such good content in such difficult times, enjoying the addition of the monthly crossword.i subscribe to the digital edition and have to draw out a puzzle on paper ,another digital magazine I subscribe to has a crossword you can fill in digitally,  wondering if you have explored this option ?

Just a thought, with access to numerous live streams now available, whats your thoughts on including the European meetings in the Whats On section, or another column for European meetings?

Keep up the good work, always look forward to waking up on a Thursday morning and accessing my edition. No postal issues and access to back issues does it for me.
