Admittedly, I've only done short pauses (maybe 5 mins max) but it does seem to pick up from where I left off. Perhaps it only allows you to pause for a certain length of time? Up the Aces!

Yes, I think you should be OK with this. I was out last Friday evening and was able to watch the Scunthorpe versus Redcar match when I got home at 10.00pm. I think you have to wait approx 30 mins after the live recording has ended and then you can start watching the programme again in its entirety.

Yes, you can pause, no problem. Very good coverage as well.
  4. Not sure what the score will be but I reckon KL will win fairly comfortably. Not as convinced with the Leicester team as some people seem to be.

    Plymouth Gladiators 2024

Are you sure that wasn't £2K a season?

    Workington 2024

Out of all the Championship teams, Workington's results will be the ones I check first. The composition of the team intrigues me and I sincerely hope they do well.
  7. I think KL could run Leicester very close tonight and if both Basso and Taresenko enjoy good meetings then they could spring a surprise!
  8. I have just read the article and must admit I wasn't aware of the full details of the incident. Sounded absolutely awful. I then started to remember all the other crashes/fatalities/injuries that took place at Hackney over the years so my question to anyone who attended at the time is, how dangerous was it? Why were there seemingly more serious injuries/fatalities than other tracks and was it just the lamp standards or were other factors to blame in addition?

    Plymouth Gladiators 2024

As Dave Lanning commentated at the time, something akin to "and Carter carves up the Collins' boys." Super race in extremely testing conditions. I was there and travelled down from West Yorkshire. Half way down the M1 you would never have believed that they'd get the meeting on. The motorway resembled a swimming pool in some places! Great meeting though with lots of controversy to boot!

    Brummies 2024...

The best thing Sam Ermolenko can do is to get all the riders together before the season starts, put up a big screen and then go through all the posts re the Brummies on this Forum. If that doesn't give each one of them motivation to do well then I can't think of anything else that will. If Sam can instill a real sense of team spirit amongst them and a willingness to prove the doubters wrong then they may surprise a few people. I wish them well.

    Workington 2024

Out of all the teams in the Championship, the Workington one interests me the most. Not only a female rider but a few unknown quantities and I think they will be entertaining to watch and could spring a few surprises. If Cookie and Batch can both get into the mindset where they are determined to prove the doubters wrong and ride to their full capabilities then who knows how far the team can go. I wish the promotion well and for "thinking outside the box" and it's certainly a team which has got people talking. Good luck!
  13. Might announce all the riders first and then say who is captain.

    Promoters Conference

Well said RoundTheBoards. Some people just moan for the sake of it. Two or three days in Tenerife is no big deal. As long as the promoters have utilised their time wisely then there should be nothing to complain about. Also, quite a few of the promoters seem to get a fair bit of stick but at least they're keeping the sport going. If they weren't around who would be there to replace them??
  15. Hey there lbw, glad you got another flat white in just as the season was ending. Commiserations re Poole's loss but I'm sure you will come out fighting again next year. Always enjoy the Poole banter on the Forum and hope it keeps going through the winter months. By the way, had my first ever flat white coffee at Ascot (Champions Day) on Saturday and very enjoyable it was! All the best for next season!
  16. People calling for an end to the season by late August/ mid Sept. They say that October is when the weather turns and they look back over the summer with rose tinted glasses, remembering how lovely the weather was? I seem to remember late June, most of July and quite a few days in August being mostly crap weather with lots of rain about. As Woofy would say, "it is what it is" and British weather will always be very hard to predict. Some October's have been as dry as a bone and I quite enjoy speedway when the nights are fast drawing in and there are four guys racing under floodlights.
  17. Hey lbw, this is not good at all. No flat white! I think you need to take a bit of time out in Bournemouth to make sure you have one. Enjoy the meeting, I'll be watching on BSN. May the best team win.
  18. Hi lbw, are you intending to go up to Glasgow tomorrow? If so, don't forget that flat white before you set off. In fact it's that far you may need three flat whites with a cappuccino thrown in for good measure. I'm a neutral in all this so just hoping for some good racing, a bit of controversy and may the best team win.
  19. Couldn't agree more re Robert Lambert. Not sure when he last rode at Wolverhampton but must be so used to riding the big flat out tracks in Poland etc. Turns up at Wolves and sized the track out after one race and then there was no stopping him. Pure class and great to watch as well.
  20. Yes, and as I mentioned in a previous post, the vast majority of injuries have come on foreign soil. Only Woffy's injury has come on home soil and even that was a GP round and not a Premier/Championship League meeting. Faster tracks abroad with more pressure = greater risk of injury?

    2023 Playoffs

Slightly off topic and not really making any major point here but all the injuries which have severely affected the play offs have not happened during either Premier or Championship League matches. Woofy, of course, was injured in the UK but this was whilst he was on GP duty but the remainder (as far as I can remember) have all been abroad in either the GP's/World Team Cup or the Polish leagues. Probably a lot more pressure riding in the Polish Leagues, more money of course but also more risky. Big fast tracks and higher speeds.
  22. Sorry it's been called off lbw but will give you time for an extra flat white. Enjoy!
  23. Well said Aries. Couldn't agree more
  24. Hope you've arrived safely lbw. How was your flat white?
  25. Really enjoyed the meeting despite the scoreline but obviously so much hanging on the bonus point. Commiserations to Leicester but I think most neutrals, including me, would rather see Ipswich in the playoffs with the likes of JD and Emil etc. Definitely some mouth watering semis coming up!
