I am sure the "powers that be" will get around that table at the AGM and sort everything out. Make it better for the fans, better for the riders and a better T.V aspect. I think perhaps the answer could be to bring back the green helmet colour and change the points given out for a win - maybe 10 points for a win if the track is wet and it would definitely make it more exciting if the riders had to use a bigger pit mat!!! Unfortunately that is about the only level of thinking the BSPL have - Charge the riders, sod the fans.

There was public transport! I remember seeing a double decker bus on the start line!!

Ian Thomas was good at his job. I remember all the riders shaking hands with "Del Boy" on the opening meeting in 99. He looked up at Leggy Powell and said "Cor Blimey! What you doing here Rodney?". Classic.
  4. The track will be very wet. There is a lot of rain around right now. I think if it was a normal meeting it would of been called off by now.
  5. Just having a rain shower here near the track. I think it should favour the Sheffield boys if its a little heavier than normal on the outside, Sheffield to win by 10 or more,
  6. Its raining at Owlerton.
  7. Raining again here. Its not looking good, if the meeting is on, then the racing will be poor I think.
  8. I am about half a mile from the track. Very wet here.
