The official result of ht 8 was a 5-2! How do I know? Because I have the refs certified copy. Presumably it was corrected AFTER the meeting.

    One League - Matt Ford

Clement Freud (I saw him at more than one track outside his constituency).

    1956 Queries

I concur with the analysis above on the three California related queries. As a matter of interest what do you record for the 1 July cup meeting between California and Rye House?

IOW V KENT THUR 27TH JUNE

Another excellent night's racing with some stand out entertainment from Danny Verge and Robert Ledwith in particular. Scores were VERY tight for the first 12 heats. The meeting could have been run quicker, we missed last 3 heats of the junior match. Lack of a tactical substitute in heat 14 still puzzles me.

NL Fours 7th July (now 13th)

But it does make it more attractive for me, as it would be easy to combine with the World Under 21 at Belle Vue on Friday night.

Polish and other match video`s 2019

I was there - see if you can spot me in the crowd! Three tac subs and a tactical joker ride used!
  8. Check the green sheets. Ellis is now 3rd heatleader
  9. I thought there was contact as Shanes went under Kennedy. However Kennedy was rebounding off the fence which he had clipped coming out of bend 4. And that in my view makes him the one who was less in command of his riding line and I therefore conclude the decision was correct. In fact all round I think Chris Durno had a pretty good night ( how many people spotted the lack of gloves?)
  10. I can picture the scene: Knock, knock [Door opens] Caller: Good afternoon, I'm calling on behalf of your local Labour party Resident: And what's your party's policy on Brexit, the single most important issue in politics today? Caller: [silence, face turns red with embarrassment]
  11. Typo on my part, it was ten. Not the only poor performer, I notice Dudek and Iversen had a very poor Tuesday evenings too.
  12. Did you notice which nationalities scored Lejonen's points: Poland 38, Australia 12, and Sweden just 1. (and that came from former GP rider THJ riding at reserve!)

    One League - Matt Ford

This is nonsense on stilts. The UK Government and ONLY the UK govt determines immigration policy (outwith the EU) - and there is no reason whatsoever to think the current restrictive policy with regard to speedway riders will be relaxed regardless of whether or not we do finally manage to leave the EU. Only a General Election resulting in the election of a more pro- immigration party will do that and I can't see that happening.

    Another Saturday night

"But whenever Monday comes you find me cryin' all of the time"
  16. Ah yes I forgot he was double booked. Shame makes a pick for Becker even less likely.
  17. Hjelmland, Lidsey and Fienhage for the wildcards I'd guess
  18. Gross misuse and manipulation of data You simply throw away Crump's results in the first 4 GP s.

ISLE OF WIGHT V STOKE POTTERS

Very smooth tonight. Just one fall in the match, and that was on bend 2.
  20. That's a real blow for the lad, after a very impressive start to the season. Get well soon.

    Plymouth 2019

2018 - Guests in NL proliferate. Widespread complaints by supporters throughout the league Last winter - NL changes the rules restricting guests for 'any reason' to under 18s. Supporters respond positively Last night - new rule applies, fans start whinging. This is a typical case of fans wanting fairer rules until they apply to their club.
  22. Rye House still appears on the Dragons amateur speedway fixture list

    London White City 1982

I saw Anthony Barlow at mid America in 2017 (he wore a Berwick race jacket). There is also racing in Dacono, Colorado. Redmond Bohannan was visiting from Colorado when I went to Indy, and looked quite promising. Jim Terchilla, who rode in the UK on one of the Dream Team tours seemed to be the main organisational force behind the Mid America venture.
  24. Postponed to a later date because Swin v Peterboro was a televised fixture
