Another excellent night's racing with some stand out entertainment from Danny Verge and Robert Ledwith in particular. Scores were VERY tight for the first 12 heats. The meeting could have been run quicker, we missed last 3 heats of the junior match. Lack of a tactical substitute in heat 14 still puzzles me.

And that in my view makes him the one who was less in command of his riding line and I therefore conclude the decision was correct. The UK Government and ONLY the UK govt determines immigration policy (outwith the EU) - and there is no reason whatsoever to think the current restrictive policy with regard to speedway riders will be relaxed regardless of whether or not we do finally manage to leave the EU. Only a General Election resulting in the election of a more pro- immigration party will do that and I can't see that happening.

Redmond Bohannan was visiting from Colorado when I went to Indy, and looked quite promising. Jim Terchilla, who rode in the UK on one of the Dream Team tours seemed to be the main organisational force behind the Mid America venture.
