    Playoff Final

I see Leicester are not honouring re-admission tickets (understandable given change of ownership and time of year), but instead accepting claims for refunds. http://www.leicesterspeedway.com/_mobile/news.php?extend.32392.1 This is the only info I can find (so it may have been missed by travelling fans) and it does not explicitly state that tickets can not be reused (as per the conditions of re-entry - you know the ones that explicitly state there will be no cash refunds that Leicester were relying on two weeks earlier) Deadline for refunds is TOMORROW

    Playoff Final

Possibly his best result all season was beating Pickering and Howarth in the Pairs .... at Oxford

    Plymouth Gladiators 2024

No facility for a rider that hasn't made his club season debut. N.b. special dispensations have occasionally been given for riders injured just before the season's start ( e.g. at P&P day) but there is no way that would extend to this instance.

    Playoff Final

Yes. It was quite clear from the announcements that we were ready to continue once Max's immediate medical needs had been met (and the air fence repaired) and it was only the rain that prevented us doing so.

    Playoff Final

The meeting was only called off because of rain that fell AFTER Max Perry's crash.

    Playoff Final

You might think that, I wouldn't possibly like to comment. And add on two home finals staged at King's Lynn last year.

    Edinburgh Team 2024

But as the season consists of 16 matches qualifying for GSAs which ars last 20 matches they would have to be below their best all season (excluding play-offs, KOC,BSN)
  9. I have not seen it written down, or referred to by any reliable source, or referenced by any British promoter. Either it is made up or forms part of an agreement for next season that will be formalised at the AGM. It would be nice to know.

    Brummies

Nigel Tolley sounded very downbeat tonight. Plan is still to run Prem next year, but seemed very doubtful about reaching a satisfactory agreement with the landlords, and actually raised the spectre of tonight being the last ever meeting at Perry Barr.

    Glasgow Tigers 2024

There would be plenty of worse gambles. In Poland u24 league averaged more than Borke, Edwards, Bailey, Flint and Zischke.

    Jubilee final!!!!!

Not sure how easy a congealed lump of plastic will be to mould though.

    Oxford Cheetahs 2024

    Tarasenko fits
  14. I've been to too many of these now. What makes a successful farewell is engagement with fans memories. Exeter set the gold standard (Honey Sandford's laying a bouquet in memory of her father, and Ivan's final lap). Despite a fairly mundane field Reading's benefited from a bumper turn out of former riders (plus Dave Lanning and Diddy David Hamilton). Peterborough on the other hand was a disgrace - a chat with David Howe (who just happened to be there spannering) and that was about it. I'm confident tonight will be a good (if teary) send-off.
  15. Congrats to Scunny on a dramatic and well deserved victory
  16. Yes. It happened in SGP2 this season which uses the same system. Will Drejer got 8 from 4 reserve rides in Vojens and went on to the semi (and final) scoring 16 GP points for finishing third

    Not exactly "Q" ing up!

Plenty of Zeds: Zmarzlik Zagar Zetterstrom Zengota Zabik But 'X' is a tough one to cross off.

    Workington 2024

Poole have a good record at restructuring teams when necessary. I suspect that whatever the points limit they will prove more astute than their rivals at putting together a septet under the new points limit whatever it is.
  20. Bit it would appear Jack Smith was riding in Austria
  21. Dan was riding at Leicester last night. So unless that exhausting parade lap did for him...
  22. And remember how after last year Leicester assured us they had sorted out their drainage problems. Do you think that might have been wishful thinking?

    Playoff Final

Not according to the rule book
  24. Indeed. Clearly we are being too naive in believing that the SCB regulations are a reliable source in such circumstances. There is also a big double standard in that Atkins (and Jenkins if fit) appear to have been punished by exclusion from this meeting for doing exactly what Thompson (J) and Ablitt are now doing.

    Brandon Update

No. The council has a statutory obligation to draw up local plan containing appropriate planning policies for the area and designating land uses. However the plan goes through a long process including consultation and potentially public enquiry. Any plan policy saying the land must be used for a particular sport would be regarded as too narrow and never get through. The present policy is about as strong as could realistically be expected.
