  1. It was a decent watch on TV. Thompson certainly showed well against the club that dropped him. The one thing that stood out for me was how appalling the Witches were at team riding. Not once did an Ipswich rider give a hoot where his partner was. Sedgman beats Sayfutdinov then doesn't score another point all night. Ipswich really need to replace Riss.
  2. So after ten days in Poznan, Torun, Grudziądz, Gdansk & Wroclaw its back to work with a bump for me Monday. But only in the morning as the Aces host the Tigers in the Premiership "B" fixture. Tigers won on their last visit to the NSS but Jack Holder is unlikely to feature after his spill tonight. Bewley, Brennan, Ellis & Lidsey could struggle with a post WC hang over
  3. Klindt can do a job at NSS. Nicholl's wouldn't have NSS near the top of his favourite track list.
  4. Yeah, Bewley didn't have a ride for 6-8 heats on the trot, which corresponded with Woffinden's form disappearing. So the Two riders who knew the track best had nothing for their team mates. It also put an awful lot of pressure on Bewkey in his first World Cup.
  5. Ugh. Return of the SoN? When the SoN was introduced the Poles were never going to be beaten in a 4 man format. The Poles cruised the previous two SWC's 2016 SoN & 2017 Leszno. Tonight has proved that is no longer the case. There is nothing wrong with the 2 man format, it's just not as good!
  6. Are the Wolves riders back from holiday? A few guests & R/R due to sun burn?
  7. Yes I left the stadium cursing Fricke! I might burn the Grudziądz t-shirt with hus name on I brought last Sunday!
  8. If it remains and isn't replacing by the SoN it will be at the NSS or possibly Sweden next year. I'd imagine. Wroclaw has been a great venue & city to visit. It was lost when Lambert tried to riund Fricke in heat 20 allowing Janowskj to sneak through. I'm not blaming Lambert at all, he needed a rider between hinself & Janowski as they crossed the line to win. The World Cup. Wouldn't have fancied any of our riders against Zmarzlik in a run off so he gad to go fir it. Tremendous effort from all our riders.
  9. Why? Denmar bear Australia convincing enough in the semi final.
  10. Both of those hears were just after the spiky tractor was deployed. Spiky tractor needs to be deployed allot tomorrow!!
  11. I assume Kolodziej isn't as good at Wroclaw as he is at Leszno?
  12. Racing improved tonight after the tractor with the spikes spent considerably time on it after the normal two graders (drag loose material from outside to in) and the bowser had been around. Just as it did after that occurred at semi final 1. They never did so during semi final 2. So did team GB make hard work of Sweden? Swedes, Lindback aside were poor tonight.
  13. Did it not say on Sportowefakty ? I wasn't really looking at the live section as the presentation in the stadium were good at saying which riders were in which heat. I just kept an eye on overall scores on it. No... I don't do programs.
  14. Lidsey was probably the best Aussie. Wee you expecting Doyle to be? Chris Holder was reserve but never appeared. I realise the Czechs pulled a tactical masterstroke putting Milik at reserve which got them into the race off but I hope the Poles don't deploy Zmarzlik at reserve fur the final. Ditto. Lindgren. Sweden. Race off.
  15. Ditto. And I was there & gutted when Kolodziej bottled it in Pardubice. He's more interesting to watch than any retained riders that required a permanent wildcard for 2023 series with the possible exception of Thomsen.
  16. Kolodziej should have won the SEC last year but bottled the final. If you want to go vack into the analogs look back to 2014 when he lost Poland the SWC on the final bend of the final lap during the final heat.
  17. Nothing much between GB, Danes & Aussies. GB have the best 3 but the weakest 4/5. Sweden a bit behind.. But if Germany & Czechia are not taking points off each other they'd give the Swedes more of a run for their money The French will barely get a point in the race off.
  18. Janowski has been awful all year in the GPs, Dudek not much better. Kolodziej always fails on the World Stage.
  19. That's the big contest of the SF. I'm thinking Danes will have too much for Aussies. Lord knows why Germany & Czechia were in SF1, when they're both way stronger than France & Finland. Did Latvia not wish to enter? A rest of the world team of Zagar, Vaculik, Lebedevs, Becker & the Ukrainian guy would make it more interesting.
  20. Doyle should know better by now. If one ruder steams under another rider and makes contact, if the other rider goes down. The referee is highly likely to exclude the inside diver, regardless of how much space on track there is. Bewley knew it and went down when IMO he could have stayed on. Wright was harsh on Sayfutdinov in heat 14, if Sayfutdinov had gone down no one would have complained. But Wright never moved in heat 15! Brennan & Blodorn won their meeting for the Aces IMO, must have massively out performed their Witches counterparts. But haven't looked at the actual scores. Hopefully that's a small scare & a kick up the butt for the Aces Witches problem for me is Riss, he simply isn't competitive, barely contributes.
  21. Lewandowski is employed in & lives in Spain. World ranked #1 Women's Tennis.
  22. Bodes well with all the Danes, Janowski & Doyle struggling in last night's GP. Even Zmarzlik looked human.
  23. Iga Świątek will take some beating on the highest paid Sports person in Poland I would imagine.
  24. Wright doesn't ride in Poland regularly, Worrall does. That said Harris isn't a Polish League regular these days. Guess he's included due to his experience.
  25. That was fairly turgid viewing on the TV. Hope it was better in Owlerton. May as well declare the league done & dusted. Aces, Leicester, Wolves & Tigers in PO. Ross was awful, never looked like scoring. Didn't he win the PLRC (whatever it was then called) at Owlerton a few years ago? King & Doyle couldn't back Sayfutdinov up enough. Rew did OK, but needed to win heat 8.
