Belle Vue Vs Wolves, Grand Final 2nd Leg, 5/10/16...
alkadera replied to Col's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
So when are teams allowed to strengthen up? Whenever a team makes a change it will be unfair on some other team - maybe a team that hasn't ridden against the 'before changes' team. Why should it matter when...every team is still trying to win the competition. -
Hopefully next season my son and daughter will be riding in the British youth 125 championship. My son has done a couple of seasons but it will be my daughter's first try

Should Tai Woffinden Ride For Team Gb ?

Would it be so difficult to actually answer sommelier's question? I cannot see any reason not to.... -

Sshhh! He'll never tell us if you say things like that -
Just going to copy and paste my previous post about the above quote. 'The number of people who think kids are thick enough to blindly follow what someone else does is staggering! Not all kids are like the ones you see on the news or are reported in the papers. You will find that the vast majority are pretty sensible.... Have you actually talked to any of the riders in the British youth set up? They are all well mannered, polite and determined kids who can think for themselves.' Some people do have a remarkably poor perception of our young people today!

Come on Robert, put us out of our misery. I'd be proud to tell people who I rode against, particularly any world champions. Why so reluctant? -

British Youth Championship Round 4, Rye House Sunday 26th June @ 2pm
alkadera replied to Alan_Jones's topic in Youth Speedway and Development Leagues
So no real need to reference other names then. Not too sure Jacob is a 'modern name' anyway! Pretty sure it was in some big religious book of some kind... -
He is a role model for his speedway ability, dedication to training for and achieving his goals etc. You do young people a disservice by thinking that that they cannot distinguish between the way he looks and his speedway achievements/dedication.

So you didn't....

Leicester Lions V Wolverhampton Wolves, Sat 21st May @19.30
alkadera replied to Shale Searcher's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Great win for wolves, a proper team performance with only 3 last places. Star of the match for me though was Paul Starke. Attacked the difficult conditions and pressured the wolves riders when behind. Very impressive. -
Could Woffy Be Making An El Return?
alkadera replied to Daniel Smith's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
So your first retort is basically that you don't like the way he looks. And you do my son a disservice. He has the intelligence to think things through for himself and not just follow others. The chance to learn from a twice world champion doesn't come round very often. How many others don't ride in the Ben fund? Did you slag off Scott nicholls for not riding for GB? And whatever my son achieves I'll be proud of him. Just admit you don't like tai and it wouldn't matter what he did you still wouldn't like him. -

I will certainly be trying to get my son into one of his training schools and I consider myself a sensible parent... If any of Tai's dedication, ambition, success, professionalism, determination etc are passed on to my son then it would be a worthwhile exercise. Why is he not a role model in Speedway terms? Because he doesn't ride in our mess of an elite league? (that you don't seem to particularly like either!), because he isn't riding in a British semi-Final? Or because he has some tattoos? -
Youth championship meeting on 24th is cancelled.
