  1. Batch is the Australian KK most certainly inconsistent, as he said himself he's only interested in wining and nothing else which is why instead of racing he does wheelies during the races. There's a reason no-one in the UK or Poland want him!

    Kings Lynn 2023

Laguta to Lynn first meeting Thursday
  3. I wondered if anyone was able to say what the parking facilities are available at the various clubs across the country or if you are expected to park off site. Thanks in advance.
  4. Sorry assumed they meant Chris.
  5. In fairness he has broken a vertebra in his back so is out of action for 8-10weeks.
  6. Sad to see this. Sending best wishes to Phil and his family at this sad time.

    Cardiff 2022

Noticed Tai was rubbing his chest after his 3rd ride (I think). He certainly didn’t look right, if the medics have seen him and an ambulance called it would suggest it is more than a poorly tummy.

    Oxford 2022

We refer to him as Bratchelor. I have never been a fan! I am willing to support riders through a sticky patch as long as they are trying but more often than not if he isn’t at the front he doesn’t care. He has himself said he is only interested in winning and nothing else. I think he has upset a lot of promoters and fans over the years with his attitude. To answer Steve Roberts: Yes on more than one occasion home and away he has given up the chase and started popping wheelies, it has not gone down well with the crowd. Not only that but if he was racing it only takes a second for someone to slip up and there are points available!

    Oxford 2022

I think the reason for pre-booking is to have accurate figures for admission as they have a limited capacity at Oxford placed on them by the council/health and safety. As much as we all love having speedway back in Oxford there are (as always) those that want it to fail and would think nothing of reporting the club if they get the chance. some animal charities are calling for the stadium to close (not just the dogs side of things), new residents that had no knowledge of speedway running and the noise when they brought their properties, parking on sandy lane even though the club has been given permission to use another businesses car park. I have myself moaned about the ticket situation but it’s just something we have to put up with for now, hopefully when the Health and Safety see’s fit the restrictions on capacity will be removed.

    Testing Riders

At the track we were under the impression that he had been driven to and from the track. May not be the case there were several rumours in the night but this seemed to be one that didn’t change as the night progressed.

    Testing Riders

If you read my post it says I don’t care what was in his system be it one of the three mentioned or all of them. At the stadium it was rumoured to be alcohol at first then drugs. The point is that he had officially failed a test (non-negative), if the ref had felt he was safe he wouldn’t have withdrawn him. I am not being judgemental I am simply stating that as we do not know what effect this would have had on him, he was risking not only his safety. Times have changed health and safety (sometimes bunkers) of everyone at a track is at risk As for the comment on the M25 if you want to ride a bike on the M25 at 70mph without brakes good luck. Times change, 45 years ago the bikes reacted differently, engine was an up right, machines go faster. I have seen to many serious crashes over the years (Ales Drmyl’s being one of the worst). At the end of the day he has failed trackside and lab samples. The fact that he intended to race is what annoys me.

    Testing Riders

I don’t care what drugs were in his body, high dosage prescription/illegal/or as first suspected alcohol) what troubles me most about this whole saga is that Ben knew what he had taken before arriving at the stadium and he should know if it is or not against the rules. Knowing this he still intended to ride and would have if the test hadn’t been carried out, it is the complete lack of respect for safety, not only for the other riders, but the medics, track staff everybody in the pits as well as the crowd. Just recently there have been a few crashes where the bike has gone over the fence, that is what I find indefensible. It’s not okay to then say it was medical prescription and the gp can back this up - it still doesn’t make it right and anybody that knew he was doing this is equally guilty.

    Plymouth Gladiators 2022

I would be surprised, having read several things over the last couple of weeks it seems that more are surprised that he hadn’t been caught sooner. If other riders are aware and rumours have followed him around (as suggested) for years how can you not be aware?

    Oxford vs Plymouth 27/07/22

Random tests at Oxford tonight one failed. It was announced “withdrawn by officials as unfit” not due to illness or injury.

    Ipswich 2022

Random tests for riders at Oxford tonight believe one rider failed hence “officials withdrawing rider from the meeting!” That was the wording at the stadium. Sure there will be an announcement in the next few days.
  16. Have to disagree with that, I was sat opposite the tapes (a floor below the ref) and both incidents were for the same reason by the same rider. The way Nicol lined up he was going to go into another rider by the angle he was at both incidents started before the first bend and therefore should have been all 4 back or Nicol excluded both times. The second incident Nicol got his foot peg caught because of the way he was angled, so was the cause of the accident.
  17. Cheers, I assumed that it would only be a DMU licence that would be affected and if you took out another under a different nationality then fair game!
  18. I have a feeling we will be seeing a new rider from Spain, Senor Pedersen! He's put on Instagram that he is en route to the Spanish embassy in Copenhagen to get an NIE number - wouldn't be the first and certainly not the last rider do get a license from another nation! I have always liked Nicki and am not ashamed to admit it he is box office, there was a lot that went on behind the scenes during his time at Oxford that weren't pubic knowledge and this includes that he wasn't sacked but it was announced as such so that he didn't get a ban for withholding his services! I'm not defending his actions in other situations but at the end of the day Nicki in a team brings in supporters, in this day and age, that is what the sport needs! Off track I have always found him a nice guy even when not in a speedway setting he has always acknowledged us - I know of others that wouldn't give you the time of day!

    King's Lynn Stars 2020

Trying hard not to laugh at the idea Horton helped Oxford! He did not do anything but take all the entrance money and not pay riders, stadium, first aid etc (I could go on and on) but really not the best comparison to be made!

    Jason Garrity

I seem to remember when Ward got banned for alcohol in his system at the Latvian GP, there were a couple of riders who said then what they should be testing for more often is drugs. As certain drugs make you lose you inhibitions leading to crazy and dangerous riding that will/has caused serious injuries (sound familiar?). How do they even find out when random tests are taking place I thought that was the whole idea of being random, maybe we need to go the same way as athletics and other professional sports, miss x tests you get an automatic ban.
  21. Couldn't agree more! The impact he took To his head & neck are red flags, then add that he has discomfort! He may want to represent his country but god forbid the worst that could happen from a wrong move, rut in track etc. Rosco should step in and make him have a proper assessment!
  22. Surely if you were Lynch u wouldn't have put Bjerre in the rerun!
  23. Why does Kelvin think that it is acceptable to put the opposition through the fence but not your team mate?! The amount of times he has said that he can only think that Riss did not realise it was his teammate. You do NOT fence a rider regardless of who they are or who they ride for!
  24. "As for the track yes its bumpy. Has been for a while. Its called home advantage and one of the reasons I believe Its not removed." Really try telling that to a rider who has problems with a head/neck injury that still rode the track but left in an ambulance. Astounding really that as a tv spectator it was obvious that Hans was dazed let alone him admitting he couldn't turn his head, even IF it was Hans choice to continue, the management should not have allowed him to race- thought this would be the team most aware of the possible outcomes of this type of injury.
  25. I may be wrong, but I thought Poole want to hold this meeting every season, the way the fans have been treated tonight how many of the fans tonight will remember this and not turn out again to support Darcy! Surely common sense says give something back to the fans who have not got what they pay for as it was not fit for purpose. People are turning their backs on speedway and if you are going to treat the paying public like this what else do you expect?
