It sadly looks that way. So where do all the youngsters that Neil Vatcher is guiding through the ranks go now? Kent almost certainly out too, and Mildenhall must be extremely doubtful too. Such a shame, as I love NDL racing.
-
I've suggest Brafield for weeks now on my FB postings, and it's not to far from Coventry.

Peterborough v Wolverhampton 11/09/23

I think he new this last Thursday, hence his over the top waving to the people in the grandstand at the completion of his last race. He was saying goodbye. -
Am I right in thinking that it has to be the club promoter, and no one else, that requests helps from the BSPL, which would make sense. Peterborough don't have a promoter, as Carl Johnson walked away from the club, even though he's still named as promoter in the club programme. I also thought rightly or wrongly, that a club couldn't run a meeting(s) without a promoter. A promoter can't promote at two tracks in the same league, so that would rule Buster and Dale (Allitt) out, as they're both registered promoters at King's Lynn. So who actually is running the club?
-
I agree about Sam, he's of the same class as Josh Pickering was, and that's not a No 1.

As far as I'm aware, but of course maybe wrong, but I don't think the BSPL get involved, unless a promoter asks them to.

Panthers vs Lions - Thursday 7th September

As the supporter of a different club, I have to admit this current Peterborough team are a joy to watch. Such a shame they haven't been together all season. -
Kings Lynn v Ipswich 4th September
Mimmo replied to Arch Stanton's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
The racing at Peterborough is amazing, and I think we are possibly all looking forward to this final ever meeting at the East of England Arena, although the developers aren't meeting the laid down rules, which hopefully the Peterborough Council Planning Department turn down. Welcome to North Norfolk, and it's great to know that you will be a regular at King's Lynn in 2024. If you have the time, please give Mildenhall a try on a Sunday afternoon, as it really is a lovely afternoon out, at possibly the friendliest track in the country. They are at home this Sunday (4.00pm) and still have a Cup Final to race, which will probably be against Leicester, on a date still to be confirmed. -
Kings Lynn v Ipswich 4th September

Enjoyed last night, despite the 'Stars' losing, and I'm sorry that Ipswich will now miss the play-off's, following Leicester's win at Wolverhampton. It's been great to see the likes of Robert Lambert, Emil Sayfutdinov, Tai Woffinden and Artem Laguta back on British tracks for the various lengths of time that they've been here. Love him or hate him, which the majority seem to on this forum, without knowing the real Keith Chapman, the atmosphere at the Adrian Flux Arena has improved, in my opinion, ten fold, since he was forced into having to take the lead role in our favourite sport again. The cheers and applause that he received after the meeting, when he announced that he would keep the club alive going into 2024, was great to hear, so thank you Buster, for allowing the keyboard warriors, the chance to slag you off again next spring. They are in the minority, compared to the amount of people that do support you. I agree with Bagpuss, Simon Lambert must be the first name on the team sheet for next season. He's a great captain, and a rider that never knows when he is beaten. Okay, I'll open my windows now, as I'm expecting the S**t to hit the fan, but I've expressed MY opinion, as of course you are. Have a good winter everybody.- 126 replies

Pity Peterborough & King's Lynn are both at home tonight,as I'd like to be at both. -
Max Perry is now partnering Kyle Howarth. Craig Cook has pulled out for Edinburgh too, so Luke Killeen now partners Josh Pickering. Year in year out riders suddenly drop out of meetings like this, and the case of this meeting, you can now count either of those pairs as winners. Total joke, and a complete waste of money attending.

What a shame Patryk Wojdylo is no longer available, for whatever reason that may be. I think he's the best thing that's happened for the club this year. -

Fantastic meeting, and it was difficult to pick your own rider of the night. Robert Lambert, Simon Lambert & Anders Rowe were all worthy of it. Seeing Robert along with Tai and Emil Sayfutdinov recently, it really brings it home to me/us, what we've been missing (I know Emil has been here all season), they are all sheer class and a joy to watch. -

Good Luck 'Panthers' -
It does Jason. Peterborough & King's Lynn, 45-minutes apart, are both racing at home on the same night. Poor crowds at both venues that night.

Isn't there an agreement with Discovery+/Eurosport that there has to be a minimum of seven clubs in the Premiership, otherwise they are in breach of contact, or have I imagine it? Genuine question.
-
All any of us can guess what the situation is, because we simply don't know. This slagging off of King's Lynn, or should I say Keith Chapman, doesn't do the club any good, if someone is prepared to buy the club from him. Potential sponsors that a new promotion would require, would have been reading all this old clap trap, and become uninterested, and don't think companies don't look at these sites if they are wanting to sponsorship out there, because they do. Okay, I've opened the door so you can start slagging me off, which will just confirm what I've said about sponsors.

That would be unfair on Sheffield, the club the Witches are chasing for the final play-off spot.

British Final 2023
Mimmo replied to Hackett's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
The meeting is an absolute joke, and I don't mean to insult the riders that are competing. It's going out on Discovery+/Eurosport for the world to see, and will make us a bigger laughing stock than we already are. I would image admission and programme prices have been increased, and even if I lived in Manchester, I wouldn't bother to attend this one. Just my opinion though, and I'm sure many will disagree. -
