  1. Could Redcar not have used IRR in heat 13 ?
  2. What ? It looks a gentle breeze 14ÂșC in Workington right now blue sky and yes it's windy but not strong winds, this is a strange call off.
  3. Can not understand this call off looking at a few forecasts. Think the promotion were just looking at headlines 70mph winds. Workington forecast was 30mph winds with possible 50mph gusts. Not much rain forecast either. They did the same with the BenFund meeting called that off early and weather was absolutely fine on the day. 30mph wind in Cumbria is the norm.
  4. Why are people complaining about the track when a young reserve Freddie got out there in the dirt line and passed way more experienced riders. Cooke fell on his own. Nothing wrong with that track at all, the comets riders just stuck to the inside line far to much, my only complaint was heat 3 that was a shocking decision. I'm a comets fan to.
  5. There was not many positives to take from that performance was there. Berwick moved out from the white line where the Comets riders bar Vissing were not interested in going out there. Heat 3 mind needs noted Comets on a 5-1 and stopped because Berwick rider had not cleared the track, staning on fate one !!!! He should have been fined for that.

I'm more concerned about our number 1 been nowhere near Northside since November when he make all that noise about "Not finished yet". Unfortunately it's looking like he is. The highlight for me this season was going to see Craig our number 1 and local lad smash all these visiting number 1's just like Stoney used to do. Fingers crossed the stories going around are wrong.

Hope your right but one clear printing error in that article is putting in laps around Northside, apparently he not been anywhere near Northside for quite a long time and not there today either for practice.

Has anyone been down the track for any of the practice sessions lately ? Not heard once that Craig Cooke has been down at all practicing. This time of year his social is generally full of him getting ready for the new season, this season absolutely nothing. He not in any of the Testimonial meetings either. 7th rider signing up might not be the only problem Workington have.

The Ben Fund also take into account taking the first meeting off the holding promotion. They guaranteed a big crowd so maybe good idea not including any Comets leave them for our first meeting.

No I was hoping it was not Troy reading some posts earlier. He is well past his best and former he certainly is. Hard to work with to going of a few past clubs stories so with our young novice team manager who has only looked after the kids team. He gonna have his work cut out looking after the young lads our female rider then Cooke and Troy. Very strange signing will win heats when he Gates but if not will be just taking the piss at the back.

Great move for equality and promotion but sadly that's about it on her riding ability. Her averages and times in the meetings and track time she has had are nothing good at all and if she was a he more questions would be asked signing a rider on a 4 point average where here past experience shows nothing of reaching that at all.

Can not understand anyone wating Vissing yeah great guy but is he going to improve now ? No move on like they have with the last two riders signed who have loads of potential. And as for anyone mentioning Roynon have you seen him ride the last couple of years ? Obviously not.

Shame about the clubs lack of social media information. Heard nothing for weeks and the fans are getting worried. I think with the low points limit the riders know they are needed and this makes for higher wages as they negotiate high wages against different clubs. Hope the business plan for the Comets can sustain this massive jump to championship level money.

Really hoping they manage to get a half decent team just for Andrew having the balls to take Workington up. A team in the championship getting beat at home like the comets last season won't keep the crowds to a level to cover his costs.

I totally agree with you but if you work Saturdays like me it's near impossible to go. 5pm would help. And when say Reds or rugby I'm actually thinking of the promotion why compete with anything I know quite a few people who watch both the reds and Speedway. What Andrew and his helpers have done is fantastic I'm not knocking in any way at all far from it. I just would not run at 3pm on a Saturday.
