  1. Well chuffed with Floppy's performance, he certainly never let anyone down! The whole team did us proud tonight, here's to the race-off .......... good luck TeamGB!!!!!
  2. ANYBODY but the danes   Australia I guess, who else has 5 GP riders in their team!!!! I, too, hope TeamGB get through to final beings I will be there cheering them on hehehehehe
  3. Should be Stoney and Screeny I would have thought?
  4. It's soooooooo difficult for us fans to suggest stuff when we don't know the finances. We can only say what we would like to see. I hope that the leagues are disbanded completely and new leagues put into place. There aren't enough teams that want to compete in an Elite League so it has to be 1st and 2nd division. How they can include the GP boys I do not know because PL clubs put the GP riders down as one of their main reasons not to join the EL. Maybe they would agree to 1 per team if wanted? I am concerned that the PL promotors want nothing to do with EL promotors so won't play ball at all, if they can't work together, gord knows what's going to happen! Such bad history (it seems) between the two cannot be forgotten, this happens in many walks of life. Let's hope they can wipe the slates clean SOMEHOW and come up with a new set up they will all be happy with!!!!! We live in much hope!! Us fans are helpless really, our sport is in the hands of these guys, it's up to them to sort it out for us, they owe us that!!!!! One of the most important criteria for fans is to have a reliable regular fixture list for each team, it's not too much to ask is it?
  5. Middlo has picked these riders because he thinks they are the best ones to ride Outrup which has been reported to be a small, slick track. These guys can all gate and that is imperative on a track like that?
  6. If Outrup is a small slick track it could well suit Floppy as he has been gating well this season whenever I have seen him, the pressure is on them all, let's hope luck is on our side in Denmark :-) I hope they can find some good set ups from race one.
  7. Middlo obviously has persuasive powers If only for team back up it's good for Mark to be included don't ya think?

    Lukas Dryml Injury

I thought it was sick to keep showing the crash on the night when most folk thought the guy was VERY seriously injured. I'd definitely agree they should NOT use it in their credits, instead by the authorities to maybe damn the airfences on the straights!!! Glad they never showed Crumpy after he ran out of fuel, not much has been said about this, who does actually have responsibility to refuel bikes at the GP's???
  9. Under pressure I guess ML? Would have to ask about that one.
  10. What was I saying on the other thread ..................... Mock ........... lol ................... pot kettle black!!!!!!!!!!!! As for Norris, if he thinks he can do a job and wants to go badly then why not, who knows, if he can gate in Denmark like he gates at some tracks then ..............
  11. I liked the idea of Jonathan Green's about including Mark in the first TeamGB match then taking him out again for the race-off and/or final. My team would be: Loram Nicholls Richardson Screen Barker Howe Norris Stonehewer Harris Get em all out in practice in Denmark and go from there, fastest five. I also think that there should be some proper test matches in the future to test out the younger generation of riders, they need to get that experience badly!!!!
  12. If you can't believe riders who can you believe? I thought Nicki had turned a corner but no.
  13. The guy is a great rider, he'll get another chance, yeah he's stupid.
  14. Jeff ............ the WTC is now BSI's and Olsen's baby, of course it was their fault that the meeting was not called off, the riders wanted it to be and the fans knew it was dicy!!!! It was total disregard for the safety of the riders. The meeting should have been finished off before the next meeting, as should the race-off also but of course in this day and age of televised meetings the schedules cannot be changed, speedway doesn't work like that tho does it, it's not like football when players can play on a rain soaken pitch with slightly more danger to their health one could say, when the track is soaken it's life in your own hands time!!!!!! I'm surprised more fans aren't having their say on this one ..............
  15. I suppose one could say that Mark did get badly injured in last years WTC because of BSI/Olsen/Ref, who's decision was it????????????? I don't think Mark alone will make a difference, it will now take other riders to sound off, Crumpy, Adams, Max, Rickardsson and IF Nicki Pedersen (fellow Dane of Olsen) poopoos the format then perhaps summat might be done, won't it???????
  16. I spose he meant looking at the league table ........... Sheffield 21 points from 15 matches and Newcastle 4 points from 10 matches?? Thas going by the BSPA website
  17. Judging by the comments of some of the struggling EL team promotors YES it is too strong. Didn't I read in the Star that one promotor thinks that both the EL and PL need to be weakened. He said that teams in the PL struggle also to be competative, I take it the ones down the bottom of the league?
  18. I, personally mind you, don't give a damn about having speedway in the world's great stadia, give the riders a decent track to race on in proper speedway stadia so I can sit in front of my tv and watch a good proggie that'll do for me Like I say the media, well Sky and C4, have now discovered it and the speedway authorities in the staging countries should be gaining out of it, with the profits being put back into speedway in said countries, to perhaps improve stadia, run training courses, all sorts of things! Now instead, all profits are going to BSI, they have their grubby mits on ALL of the world championship meetings until 2017 thanks to the FIM, not voted for by GB, Sweden and Denmark I hasten to add, but what do those countries matter, they have only kept speedway going since it's introduction into Europe in the 20's!!!!
  19. But now they have discovered speedway it is likely to stay surely? I think speedway should gain from the tv exposure not BSI! The money BSI make from tv rights revenue should go to the speedway authorities for the advancement of speedway, not into their coffers, mind you BSI have made sure that nobody gets their hands on the rights until summat like 2020!!!!!!!
  20. Watched the C4 proggie of the GP yesterday, again Julia was great, the whole programme was good :-) I really wanted to see the start of the final again, Nicki sure did get a rolling start but hey all riders get that little bit of luck at times I spose! Another booboo by said ref!
  21. It wouldn't have to Jive, BSI aren't the be and end all are they???? Now that Sky are involved they would stay involved I'm sure and the promotors in said countries could take all the television revene that BSI are gleaning from the world championship speedway. I would like to think they would put it to a good cause too I have been lead to believe that all the gate money that is taken at the WTC goes to Danish speedway and not to BSI, hope I'm right :? The money doesn't have to be put into Coventry speedway, I'd much prefer Sheffield or even Peterborough altho Bradford would be my first choice, enjoyed the GP from there a few years back.
  22. I hope he goes and the whole thing falls on it's head hehehehe Then I would like to see each country promoting their own GP for the good of speedway in their respective country ON PROPER tracks!
  23. The trouble is the referee has had a stinker, he just goes off and refs another meeting, makes no difference to his career ambitions but the decision has probably cost Tomasz his 2003 crack at becoming World Champion!! Tomasz seems disillusioned with the GP series full stop, especially on these one-off tracks and I really don't blame him, they are crap and dangerous to race on!!!
  24. OK Wizza, apologies to Sky for sure, didn't realise it wasn't their cameraman who did the dirty!!
