I believe he was having a go after a meeting on Simon Wigg's bike?? and came off and broke his leg....not sure what track it was at though.....I think it was about the time of the Ricky Butcher speedway story on Eastenders and a few of the actors started having a go at speedway?? When he broke his leg the tv bosses put a stop to it?? I think that was it.....long time ago now, so not 100% sure.

It was about mid 90's and Troy Pratt was the rider that was acting as Ricky.

Who did say that???....I said he has upset a lot of Poole supporters (many of which never even use the internet) by his comments in the local Swindon paper before the play off final (the article in question was reproduced in the local Bournemouth Echo newspaper before the play off final).

I think the problem Poole supporters have with Doyle is the comment he made in the local Swindon paper before the play off final about how Poole supporters forgot about him when it came to the 2011 play off final......when in actual fact he couldn't have rode anyway as he was injured......He was also presented with a winners trophy and appeared in the team photo on the night with the rest of the team!! So he wasn't forgotten about at all.....and when he was presented with his winners trophy he got as big a cheer as the rest of the team...so we never forgot about him at all.....those comments from Doyle are what has upset a lot of Poole supporters....and not just the ones on this forum!!!

Why do they show reruns of GPs when it is an Elite League broadcast?? Surely they could show a play off final or something (but not 2010 please......hahaha) why GPs all the time??

My point is if they are going to put something on BEFORE the speedway , at least have something decent to watch while we're waiting for the speedway to start!!!
