All I have done is put forward some facts. He missed a meeting earlier in the season & was warned about that & now he has missed  a BSPL championship fixture bothy of which have happened.

I went on to ask if he will receive any further punishment. His reasons are his own & if questioned this is what he will rely on.

My knowledge is based on being a commercial vehicle technician for over 40 years. I am not having a dig at a 16 year old that is clearly very talented just pointing out facts.

The first meeting he missed had nothing to do with him. His dad was not very well and had to leave. what is a 15 year old supposed to do ? Stay there by himself at the other end of the country, or get a lift home with his dad ? He was on the track walk so it showed he was going to ride. Secondly he was desperate to ride in the u19’s as he had a good chance of a rostrum place and maybe even a win.

Well you will be pleased to know the technician managed after 3 days of trying, he sorted out the issues with the van and managed to get it opened. As I said if you thought you could of done it quicker I’m sure they would of paid for you to fix it, but I think you will find it was nowhere near as easy fix as you made out. Let’s hope he scores maximum hauls in all his matches this weekend as I’m sure you will have something else to write about him. Hopefully something nice for a change.

You can always use the physical key to get into the van. Just because the electric fob is not working does not restrict access & for only £13 you can get a battery fitted at any Timpsons in a few minutes

Don’t you think his dad has tried this ? It’s not like a Vauxhall Astra car you know ! It’s a very high spec Mercedes AB  race van with a high security locking system to stop people breaking in. Maybe give him a call if you think it’s easy ?
They are speaking directly to Mercedes and locksmith’s to solve the issue.
They are having the whole electronic key system replaced today at a considerable expense so hopefully they will be able to race at the weekend. The only other option is to cut the doors off.

I don’t know why people like yourself like having little digs at a 16 year old lad ? When you obviously don’t know what extremes they are going to, to get it fixed I just wish people like you would speak to his dad (very nice guy) instead of putting crap on here you know nothing about.

It's not the first meeting he's missed with a poor excuse & I believe he was warned last time so maybe some reaction to his absence???

You really are a keyboard numpty !
his equipment is locked in the back of his van has dead locks on it ! What do you want him to do cut the doors off his van ! Why would he want to miss it when he had a bloody good chance of winning it ?

Not every rider who starts out gets what Boughen has had from private lessons and track sessions to all new bikes and engines, which obviously helps.

You really don’t know what you’re talking about.
he has not got new equipment they are Jordan Jenkins old engines. I guess you are one of the people spreading rumours that he was on GP tuned engines, the boy can ride any bike he was just as good at motorcross. Hence the reason he was racing at world youth level. He is the most laid back kid I know yes his dad has spent money on him but then so has a lot of parents over the years. If your son is talented like Ashton is I’m sure most parents would do the same. Maybe people should get behind him as this boy is certainly special.

He really is awful,i think about 90% of the fans could do a better job.He even said last month they had Lawson lined up to replace Toft in one match.I checked the averages and he couldn't fit anyway as Lawson's average was well too high.He seems a combination of Hawkins and Lemon rolled into one:blink:

Hopefully have Rob Lyon back next season

  6. Sad to say it but This may be the end for Lynn speedway.

With Buster wanting out, Dale in hospital and now Brady gone. Who is paying the bills ?

Will KingsLynn finish the season ?

Lynn could end up just being a banger track.

Hopefully someone will step in and take it over, but they will need deep pockets with money, as the crowds we are getting won’t pay the wages without someone putting money in.

Maybe Jonathan Chapman may take control with his dad in the background ?

I would keep Pickering only if they know he will become fully fit.As for him being a heatleader,I think he is far from that at the moment as his 5pt something average suggests.

Rowe has stagnated imo,yes he had a couple of decent meetings at Lynn a while ago now,but hasn't got going like several thought he would do.But things do have to change

Tofty has been going steady of late imo.

I have followed Rowes scores this year for Poole and he is doing a great job at no2. I personally don’t think Edwards rides KingsLynn that well he seems to do better away than at KingsLynn.
I think a fully fit Pickering is a heat leader which he was providing last year till he got injured.
toft was supposed to be a heat leader at KingsLynn but has looked far from it in my book,

  8. I would do a major overhaul and get rid of klindt, jorgensen, toft and KK none of them have impressed me I would keep Pickering as when fit he is a heat leader. And if allowed swap edwards for Andres Rowe of allowed, as he use to fly around lynn when with Somerset

  9. I will be staying at home and saving my money, fed up with Dale getting his mates in the team.
I have been going over 40 years now and this is the first time I can’t be bothered to go. need a forward thinking promotion who want to promote and not just expect people to turn up and pay there hard earned money for a weak assembled team.

  10. I would rather see a fresh face to be honest bring a young rider over who wants to progress. While Dale Allitt is running Lynn speedway we will always be near the bottom. Shame to say it but again we will be the whipping boys of the league. Bring back Jonathan  Chapman as I hear he is back in the UK again, we had our most successful years in speedway when he was running the show and the club actually got promoted in the local areas as well which it doesn’t anymore.

The hardest of the 3 leagues to make a prediction, Some of the riders have been in this league a while & have maybe found their level whilst others are just begining their career & are largely unknown. Then of course to fresh new 15 year old starlet that pops up mid-season & the unfortunate injury that often happens.

BELLE VUE - Strong top end with the reliable Jack Smith securing double figures almost every meeting at NDL joined by James Pearson who may gain some confidence at this level & the ever improving Sam Hagon. But I think the Colts will find it tough this season.

BERWICK - I have to be honest in saying there is not much that inspires me with this seven I just hope they enjoy their racing & stay healthy.

EDINBURGH - Adam Roynon is possibly the leagues top trapper & with the CL experience of Bickley & Hook  should do well enough & may well be in the dogfight at the end of the season.

KENT - As with Jack Smith at Belle Vue Ben Morley has a wealth of experience to call upon & with Nathan Ablitt as his number 2 they will not loose many of the big races but it's a long tail to wag.

LEICESTER - A big season is always expected for the Cubs & many would feel this should be the last season for the Thompson twins in NDL. Boughon making an average towards the end of the season may hamper the 15 year old as he will start in the top 5.

MILDENHALL - A top 4 that I think can achieve great results if things go their way, Bowtell can top the averages whilst Complin is superb at this level, trigger should again up his average & the returning Kiwi Congreve may find life easier at this level.

OXFORD - The Chargers track much the same team as last year with Fellows coming in at the bottom. Killeen must establish himself this turn as his long fight for a passport then injury scuppered his chances . It could be a big year at Cowley.

WORKINGTON - Home track advantage will be a big factor for the Cumbrians. Pijper will be the lynch pin as they move forward & I'm sure Bailey can sharpen up his gating at this standard.

    Top 3. Oxford, Workington, Mildenhall

I think you are under estimating young Ashton Boughen this lad is special, I have never seen a rider take so quickly to speedway. I can see him as a heat leader by the end of the year which will push Leicester towards the title again

It's about time Lynn have showed a ruthless streak.Nobody should be untouchable. He has under performed this year as well as in previous seasons but this time he is shown the door.He will get a ride elsewhere.Lynn may have shown a little ruthless streak at last, but again it's too late. It's about being proactive not reactive.

    As the saying goes

shut the gate after the horse has bolted haha

The booking this year is ridiculous and don't forget you need the Seetickets app to download tickets, read some of the above comments  (we were originally told Principality app). Anyway I have 2 suggestions as See Tickets has no phone contact number, although you can email them but don't hold your breath waiting for a reply, try ringing the stadium on Monday and see if they can help, the number is 0844  249 1999. The second is a bit daft but it works out cheaper than 5 of the cheapest single tickets, you purchase 2 blocks of family tickets which I think came to £182 excluding app delivery fees etc and it was about £100 cheaper than 5 singles, you then have 8 seats so you can spread yourselves out (daft idea I know but so is this stupid ticket system) but honestly you really shouldn't have to purchase tickets you don't need just to sit together.  The powers (or idiots) that be should realise families come in all shapes and sizes nowadays.

Thanks for your help and they wonder why the sport is dying over here !

I have never missed Cardiff but now I am seriously thinking of cancelling my hotel never known a system so stupid that you can’t get your tickets it’s an absolute joke

  14. I bet kasper will be at reserve. Don’t think he is up to it myself, I have a feeling tofty may be back too. Dale likes to sign riders he knows, personally I would have some fresh new up and  coming young talent who has not ridden over here. Shame we have ruined our Aussie connection
