This season Alfie will be riding for Birmingham as well as the Fen Tigers and we couldn't be happier to welcome him to back to Mildenhall! #TigerPride

    Mildenhall 2023

Fen Tigers to Roar again in '23 The news that all Speedway fans in Suffolk and indeed further afield have been waiting for is out - the Mildenhall DJS Fen Tigers, proudly sponsored by Manchetts Rescue and Recovery, will race in the 2023 National Development League [NDL]. The West Row-based club’s future had looked in doubt after a significant drop in their crowds during a difficult 2022 campaign and increased running costs in the context of the Cost of Living crisis. But the club, formed back in 1975 has always attracted fantastic, devoted support and none so more so then the incredible efforts of a Group of its most loyal fans, led by Emma & Jeremy Reader and Carol & Tim Darling stepping forward to create a GoFundMe page and running a range of money-raising events that have succeeded in bringing in considerable financial support for the club. Then with two private sponsors (remaining unnamed at their request) coming forward over the Christmas / New Year period, the cash needed target to run this coming season was all but reached. All that was then required was to reach a successful agreement with the stadium owners to run Speedway there in 2023. This has now thankfully been achieved and the club can again move forward. The owners of the Speedway club released the following joint statement - " We are overwhelmed by the support received both financially from supporters and that provided by Emma, Jeremy, Carol and Tim. Their efforts and their support of us and the club have relit our fuse to push forward with Mildenhall Speedway and we are extremely grateful to them. “Speedway is secured for 2023 but this can only be the start, we will be working closely with the supporters group during the coming year on events, raising the profile of the club and fund raising initiatives to ensure we can continue into 2024 and get closer to the 50th anniversary of this great family club (2025).Our biggest challenge is to increase the support at meetings back to pre-COVID figures of over 400 a meeting, This will take a big effort and we hope supporters will back us in this and spread a positive word about Mildenhall Speedway. “We will share financial information with the supporters group as the season progresses and hopefully if we can achieve a profit that money will go directly towards the 2024 season.” Next on the agenda for the 2021 NDL champions, who finished runners up last season, coming close to defending their title is again to gather together a successful on-track group of riders, as the club owners went on: “Our next job is to get the best possible team together to represent Mildenhall Speedway in 2023 in the NDL; and we will let you know rider news as we have it. We would like to thank you for your patience over what has been a difficult time for everyone connected to the club and once again say thank you to everyone who has stepped forward to help the club".

    Mildenhall 2023

STATEMENT FROM MILDENHALL SPEEDWAY The owners are aware of and fully understand the concerns of supporters after the club were unable to confirm participation in next years NDL at the meeting held on Tuesday. The 2022 season was a particularly difficult and challenging one for the club, not only on the track but off it as well. The costs of running Mildenhall Speedway went up nearly 30% whilst our crowds dropped by almost 25%. We worked overtime to try and make ends meet but we did lose money last season. We have the most wonderful supportive sponsors, and a loyal but dwindling supporter base but the simple fact is that there is not enough money coming into the club and we feel that costs are likely to increase further next year and also fear crowds will stay low due to the current economic situation, the likelihood of another fractured season caused by a lack of standalone NDL teams, rules that do not encourage supporters to attend or enough meaningful meetings. We never took on the role of running Mildenhall Speedway to make money, the succesful continuation of a club that like you all we are supporters of was our aim, but we cannot become a charity that keeps the club running. We dedicate a great deal of our free time running the club and cannot do any more than we are we feel. We will continue to work tirelessly to find a find a solution to the economic problems we faced in 2022, but cannot at this stage state with any confidence whether or not the club will run next year and request your patience. We will be in attendance at Sunday's Christmas party and are happy to speak to supporters about the situation at the event.

    Mildenhall 2023

I was merely going by what the scorecard said on updates which was 4 falls and i mistook Jenkins ef for a f. My point was more to do with falls rather than exclusions anyway. Perhaps how i worded it was incorrect.

    Mildenhall 2023

You literally said "the same riders who appear on other tracks and stay on their bikes" this clearly isn't the case. The 3 today had absolutely nothing to do with track conditions.
  7. adz_mft

    Mildenhall 2023

So there's been no falls from anyone at any of those tracks? There were the same amount of exclusions for falls at Oxford in their last meeting and 1 less today than at Plymouths last meeting.

Chris Watts who fell in near enough every race I'd say would be 1. 25YearFan is bang on the money with his post. There are riders currently in the league who wouldn't have been close to getting a team place a few years ago. The lower limit is killing the league imo. Races are much more stretched out because of the gulf in class of some.

    Mildenhall 2023

FEN TIGERS ANNOUNCE NEW SIGNING Mildenhall Speedway Press Release 55/22 dated 11/7/22 Trophy-laden Aussie Marson returns for Fen Tigers Mildenhall Fen Tigers – proudly sponsored by Manchetts Rescue and Recovery – have moved quickly to respond to the continuing absence of dislocated shoulder victim Alex Spooner by bringing in (subject to BSPL approval) Matt Marson. The 22-year-old from Perth is of course very well known to Mildenhall fans, having ridden over 60 times for the Fen Tigers in a couple of previous spells with the club, winning the National Trophy in his early days riding over in the UK and back in with the Fen Tigers after Sam Bebee was injured in 2019. Matt returned to Australia during the close season here in 2019, intending to be back at West Row for the 2020 season but then fate took an unwanted hand. “Obviously the global pandemic changed everything and it was frustrating that I couldn’t come back over especially after having a great season back home – including scoring a maximum to win the King of Pinjar at the turn of the year – that was a big one for me.” And as 2020 was eventually written off entirely , Matt found even further success back in his native Western Australia, “In 2021 I won the State Championships at Speedway and also Flat Track and backed that up with the Rob Woffinden Classic. I made the rostrum again at the beginning of this year in the Western Australian Championships – so all in all it’s been a successful spell back Down Under – and it’s great now that travelling restrictions have been relaxed and I’m back here in the UK”. Actually the main reason that brings Marson back to the ‘old country’ has been the wedding last weekend of his very good friend and also former Mildenhall rider Cam Heeps but it’s come at an opportune time for sure for both rider and club. “I’m staying with Shane Henry and his family in West Row and I already had bikes and a van at Josh Bailey’s, so I’m fully set up to ride during my spell back here in the UK – and with Mildenhall facing an injury crisis, I’m very happy to respond to the club management’s request for help and I’m ready to go.” Providing the final approval come through Marson is poised to jump straight back in as injury replacement for Alex Spooner (meaning the side will obviously dispense with R/R) at Belle Vue on Friday and Matt will be back at his West Row ‘home from home’ at what promises to be a truly sizzling Sunday against Armadale,. And in case people think the weather will also be like home for the returnee, Matt puts them straight, “Actually when it’s hot like this in the UK it’s a different sort of heat from the one in Australia. And of course I’ve come here from winter at home – trust me, the weather in Perth lately has been rainy and gloomy! Cam and Stephanie’s wedding was perfect weather here though which was great and I’m looking forward to getting back onto a bike at Belle Vue on Friday and of course my return to Mildenhall (vs. Armadale) on Sunday” In traditional Aussie style, Matt sums up how he’s looking forward to his Fen Tigers’ return, “It’s going to be fun!”

    Mildenhall 2023

WE ARE SEVEN! Mildenhall Fen Tigers – proudly sponsored by Manchetts Rescue and Recovery – have announced the final member of their 2022 National Development League [NDL] side pending BSPA approval and it’s a returning rider – last seen as a teenaged member of the National Trophy winning side of 2014, carrying on into the 2015 campaign, now 26 and a father of two it’s a big welcome back to Jack Kingston. Increasing the quota of Essex-based riders in the Fen Tigers’ septet as they seek to defend their NDL title, Jack has actually not ridden professionally since he departed the scene as a Cradley Heathens rider in 2016. But the opportunity to kick start a career that once saw him a hairsbreadth away from winning the GB Under 19 title has been too good for Kingston to refuse and, after a hush-hush ride at the end of last Sunday’s individual meeting at West Row, Jack’s‘ the Lad turned to by the Mildenhall management to complete what looks like a very solid squad for this season. Kingston is very enthusiastic about this new opportunity, recognising that it’s a bit of Back To The Future moment for him, “I suppose I might be seen as a Blast From The Past! And it has indeed been six long years since I last did ride in league Speedway. But in that time so much has changed in my life, I’m self-employed now and a family man with two sons (Alfie & Albert). For the first two years after I stopped with Cradley I didn’t ride at all but then I gradually eased my way back into the sport and the past two or three years I’ve figured in a handful of amateur matches around the place and I’ve done okay, never struggling to record double figures scores – though of course the caveat is that they were amateur meetings. “There are lots of new faces, riders I don’t know at all riding in the NDL now; and of those riders that I do know, people like old team mates of mine, Ben Morley and Alfie Bowtell (who funny enough we’ll be facing next week in my first match back) are now number ones in the division! For me it’s going to be a case of riding without the pressure I once felt when I was a youngster and seeing where my points scoring takes me”. Kingston’s consistent performances, albeit sporadically, in his time away from the professional ranks had made him a target for a number of clubs but it’s Mildenhall who’ve secured his signature and it’s a far more mature and settled individual that will coming to the tapes in the second string berth for the Fen Tigers this time around, “I was just a teenager when I started out riding, firstly for the Lakeside Young Hammers in 2012 and then as an original member of the Kent Kings in 2013 – then I had my two years at West Row which was when I was doing my motor apprenticeship and, I’ll be honest, often the pressure of work was playing on my mind whilst also pursuing my Speedway career. You have be fully focused to ride Speedway for your own sake and safety and also for the team you’re in. and after going to Cradley I knew that was a problem so that’s why I stepped away from the sport for a bit. “But I’m older (though I am still only 26!), much wiser and with my own business too now and I have not just matured as a person but I’ve matured as a rider too”. With Kingston’s comeback to NDL racing coming a little bit unexpectedly Jack finds himself without sponsorship, “It’s just me supporting my riding and things have hardly been helped by blowing an engine today (Easter Sunday) riding in a challenge match for my old team Thurrock Hammers down at Iwade. So, if there are people out there wanting to provide sponsorship, however large or small, I’d be very grateful of course.” That close call in the GB Under 19 championship came in Jack’s first season with Mildenhall in 2014 when the Final was held at his old track, Central Park in Kent. “Finishing on the rostrum in a major British championship is obviously my career highlight – and I very nearly finished higher than third. My first ride saw me up against Olly Greenwood and the then reigning GB U21 champion Josh Bates. It was a great race with the lead changing hands several times and people have always described it to me as a finish where one could’ve thrown a blanket over the first three so close were we all. I was third but then went onto win all of my remaining four rides as amazingly did Bates & eventual winner Greenwood – quite unusual for that to happen and it shows how close I actually did come”. That highpoint marked out Kingston as a real rider to watch for the future, as did a succession of high scoring performances for the Fen Tigers (paid 17 against Leicester at West Row in the National Trophy competition which the Fen Tigers went onto claim springs to mind) and this is that second chance to fulfil such potential back at Mildenhall. “I’ve been given an assessed average of 4.44 which has been reduced, though not by much in truth, from the 5.86 I finished on back in 2016. Averages are averages of course but I did feel I was worth more than that below six point figure back then, so we’ll have to see how the scoring on track this time goes”. And going out for the first time back in the famous orange & black for Kingston will be happening this coming Sunday, 24th. April taking on Kent Royals in the first leg of a Knock Out semi final at Mildenhall Speedway – 3pm start time. Fen Tigers Co-owner Phil Kirk commented - "We couldn't be more pleased to welcome Jack back to Mildenhall and feel we may well have made a little bit of a coup here. We have been speaking to Jack for three weeks now and supporting him where we are able as he makes a return to the sport. He is a good guy who I feel sure will fit very well into the team and could well be a snip at his starting average. Whatever happens we will give Jack time to get race fit and back fully into the sport at this level, the talent hasn't gone away and we all will do what we can to ensure he enjoys being at Mildenhall and can concentrate on his riding while we support him behind the scenes"

    Mildenhall v Eastbourne 20/6

I can't believe this is even a debate. We can't control what the weather does lol. The forecast was for us to miss it, but we didn't. I live about 20 mins away from the track and I'd had rain on and off all day after the call off. The club called it off as soon as they realised it wasn't going to miss us

    Mildenhall v Eastbourne 20/6

The forecast was for us to miss the rain but it changed and we received it. Meeting was called off at 11am. 4 hours before the meeting started. Struggling to see what else the club could have done. i've seen Danno was already there which seems incredibly early to arrive for a meeting. When i used to work the back gate signing riders in we didn't let anyone in until gone 12pm for a 3pm start with many riders never turning up until around 2 hours before a meeting earliest normally.

Just out of interest. Do the averages change differently in the Prem?? With Bridger riding at reserve for the 1st couple of meetings and then RR being used for him at 2 last night?? I know the NL it changes after 4 meetings. Is the prem done monthly or something like that??

    Mildenhall 2023

Press release from Mildenhall Speedway - Malcom Vasey reveals the final pieces in our jigsaw 2021 Fen Tigers are complete Mildenhall Fen Tigers proudly sponsored by Manchett's Rescue and Recovery are very pleased to reveal the two riders that complete the make-up of the team for 2021. One is probably easily anticipated by supporters the second would be perhaps harder to guess but at the Club it is felt that they have made an outstanding capture that is totally consistent with the commitment to the success of the challenging new speedway system that we find ourselves in for 2021. It will be no surprise to many that Jason Edwards will back at West Row for the forthcoming campaign. Jason came to Mildenhall for the 2019 season and brought with him a level of professionalism rarely seen in such a young rider. He will be 19 this year and his organisation and back up in all respects is superb from his machinery to his smart kevlars and his pre-match preparations. Nothing is left to chance and his personality and pride match the efforts of himself, his family and his support team that bring him to the tapes with everything in place. Team Manager Malcolm Vasey said "Jason is the consummate professional and a fantastic asset to any team at this level and there are very clear signs of his ability to reach the top in speedway. He is also a very genuine and remarkably mature rider for his age and it is an absolute pleasure to have him racing for our Club. Jason is on a Speedway journey and it is difficult to predict where that will end, his tree is taking root and may yet become the tallest in the forest. He is an "Essex Boy" with a difference and it is fantastic that he rides for Mildenhall" added Vasey. "Jason has secured a place at Eastbourne in the Championship a sure sign of the potential we have in our midst at West Row. He is so enthusiastic and eager for the season to start and is ready to take on the new challenges that face him. He is keeping himself fit and I feel his effervescence will be plain for all to see." The Club are very grateful to Eastbourne Speedway for allowing us to enjoy his services in 2021. Our final rider will have kept you guessing until the end and in fact he is an amazing inclusion in our side that reflects all that we are setting out to do with support from you all. We are proud to name Sam Hagon, the 2019 British Youth 250cc Speedway Champion who also competed in the 2019 250cc World and European Championships. Sam's speedway pedigree is superb his Grandfather, Alf Hagon, having ridden for Harringay, Wimbledon, Leicester and Oxford in the fifties and sixties. His Dad, Martin's speedway career took him to Hackney, Rye House, Sheffield and Ipswich and he was also a top long track rider finishing fourth in the World Longtrack Championship of 1987 and also winning the European Grasstrack Championship in 1984 complementing his British Masters Grasstrack Championship wins in 1984 and 1987. With this rich heritage Sam has already shown the ability to follow in these illustrious footsteps and we are delighted that he has chosen to do so at Mildenhall in 2021. We feel that this is an important capture for us and once he has settled in we look forward to watching the progressive development of this young sixteen year old racer. Sam himself is very keen to do well at Mildenhall and is the final name in what we feel will be an exciting band of youngsters thus fulfilling both our twin intentions to entertain our supporters and contribute to the new wave of British rider development in Speedway. Sam Hagon has already graduated to 500 cc machinery and has been frustrated by the pandemic at this very important time in his speedway career. He has raced at Mildenhall and is looking forward to return this time as a home rider. One aspect of the hiatus in his career has enabled the broken collarbone he sustained before the sport's lockdown has fully healed and this youngster is ready to follow family tradition and make progress in the sport. Team Manager Malcolm Vasey said " I was impressed from my recent chat with Sam who is a good friend of Jason Edwards and I am certain that he and his team will fit in very well at West Row. He is counting the days to when we hope to re-start racing and now wishes to make up for lost time in his speedway career. I look forward to having this young man ride for Mildenhall in the new season" added Vasey

    Mildenhall 2023

From Mildenhall Speedway - Malcolm Vasey is back to reveal three more of the 2021 Mildenhall Fen Tigers - Five named, two to go .... Mildenhall Fen Tigers proudly sponsored by Manchetts Rescue and Recovery are delighted to announce the names and details of three more riders who will represent the Club during the 2021 season. These are all riders have that worn the Fen Tigers colours previously and we are quite certain that our supporters will welcome them back to West Row. I think that before naming the riders I should once again be emphasise that although the Management of the Club would have liked to track the team announced for 2020, this is not being possible due to the BSPL policy to reduce the points limit to 35 for 2021. The Club fully supports the intentions of the BSPL in this regard which revolve around the acceleration of the development of more young British riders and the points limit reduction is one of the parameters to enable this to happen. Whilst this has always been a desirable process the pandemic and consequential travel restrictions and the actions of other Speedway National Associations have increased the need to focus on the development of British riders. To fail to take such actions could seriously threaten the ability to staff adequately teams to enable our League system to function as we would all wish. Sam Bebee will return to West Row and we hope that given some better luck he will realise his full abilities and make the impact in British Speedway that his courage and exciting skills deserve. Sam has suffered enough career threatening injuries that would have caused most men to give up but his determination to return and to be successful for Mildenhall are absolute and this very popular rider is once again ready to be the rider he deserves to be. Team Manager, Malcolm Vasey, had this to say about Sam Bebee. "We are all aware of the extreme bad luck that has so far decimated any chance Sam has had of a worthwhile career in the sport he loves and for the team he also loves. He has first class equipment and returns to the side fully focussed and more determined than ever to put the past behind him and make a success in Speedway. His commitment is absolutely total and I am delighted to have him back in our ranks. It was no surprise for me to learn from Sam that his equipment is ready to go fully serviced and upgraded and his spirit is high in anticipation of at last competing again." added Vasey. Another rider returning to Mildenhall is the North Yorkshire based Elliot Kelly, so popular amongst our supporters and another rider with amazing devotion to speedway and determined to build on his very promising first year at West Row, Recently turned 17, Elliot is one of the most promising young riders in the country and Mildenhall are very fortunate to retain his services. His first season at Mildenhall as a raw 15 year old brought considerable development in his speedway racing skills which will be enhanced by his physical development as he grows older and he is a prized asset for the Fen Tigers team. Malcolm Vasey summed it up "Elliot loves it here at West Row and when you add that to his enormous desire to make it in the sport we are privileged to be able to use his outstanding commitment to both sport and the Club and 2021 will be a big year for him. He is an incredibly charming young man so popular on the terraces modest yet courageous he ticks so many boxes his inclusion in our team would be impossible to resist. He is also now an asset of Kings Lynn Speedway and we look forward to working with them to escalate the career of this young enthusiast. Elliot has vastly improved his equipment and Kelly's eye is firmly focussed on the next steps. The Fen Tigers will benefit from that no doubt especially when he takes them wide (private joke between Elliot and I)" Last but by no means least in our list of riders for today and also returning to us is Midlands based Arran Butcher. Arran rode for the Fen Tigers in 2019 completing his season with a great score at Plymouth as we chased a place in the Play-Offs. A quiet unassuming young man Arran is an all round motor cyclist and is desperately keen to push on with his speedway career. Arran supplied some good performances for Mildenhall in 2019 and our hope is that he will move forward in his speedway development having demonstrated clearly that he is well capable of enhancing his racing skills. Malcolm Vasey had this to say about Arran's forthcoming third spell under his jurisdiction. " I am very pleased to welcome this quiet and likeable young man back to Mildenhall. He rode for me briefly at Stoke in 2018 showing improvement match by match and did much the same at Mildenhall in 2019 joining us after we were struck by injuries. Arran feels that this is a huge year for him and if he moves forward with his speedway skill set Mildenhall will be huge beneficiaries. An all round motor cyclist with experience on grass, and moto-cross I am sure that he has the ability to achieve his and our aspirations for him."

    Mildenhall 2023

Press Release from Mildenhall Speedway FEN TIGERS BEGIN TO UNVEIL TEAM FOR 2021 The Mildenhall Fen Tigers proudly sponsored by Manchetts Rescue and Recovery have started to unveil their team for the new British Speedway season which looks likely to return during May after the speedway drought since 2019 due to the pandemic. Bold new plans are in place throughout the sport to develop British riders and the Club have embraced fully the ambitions of Speedway Great Britain in their efforts to energise and remodel the sport to meet the needs of 2021 and the future. Familiar faces will return to West Row next season with the announcement that Luke Ruddick and Jordan Jenkins will return to the Club as part of a balanced septet to match the requirements imposed by a 35 point limit for National Development League Clubs. Team Manager Malcolm Vasey said "This has become the opportunity for something of a renaissance for the sport in this country and I am convinced that for us not only will it promote the development of young riders but also provide very exciting racing at Mildenhall, particularly with the team that we have assembled. We have had to prune our intentions to match the revised points limit concentrating on exciting prospects combined with a level of stability that should ensure that we are successful. In addition to the League programme which is necessarily curtailed because of the late start to the season the Club have been assured that the SGB will help us to stage other exciting events that will guarantee interesting fixtures throughout the shortened campaign and we will release details of these events as soon as possible". These could include such events as the League Riders' Championship, Four Team Tournament and other late competition rounds arrangements for which need to be finalised. Former Mildenhall rider Luke Ruddick returns to the Club where his career began with great enthusiasm for the season that lies ahead. Malcolm Vasey described him as a rider with the blue touch paper alight and the show about to begin. Vasey said "I tried to get Luke into my team when I was at Stoke but Leicester beat me to it. Luke is a rider who can gate very well but is never afraid of an all out attack if he has to come from the back, I feel sure that Luke will develop further in 2021 and push his average up in the Fen Tigers cause. He lives locally and that is always helpful minimising his travel. Like myself Luke is a native of Northumberland and has a high level of steel in his racing. I am convinced that Luke's career will burgeon this season and I am so pleased that this will be as a Fen Tiger. I spoke to him yesterday and his enthusiasm runs very high" Luke Ruddick enjoyed success at both Coventry and Leicester since his departure from the Fens and it is hoped that he can help Mildenhall to win honours in 2021. He is a great capture who feels he still has a Speedway point to prove and will be a mainstay in 2021. A rider that Malcolm Vasey is also pleased to see on his team sheet for the new season is another former Fen Tiger in the shape of 19 year old Jordan Jenkins. He also lives nearby and will also ride for Redcar in the Championship where he is highly regarded. Jordan came onto the scene at Mildenhall in 2016 and having had many rides at the track looked set for success at the Club and beyond. He has however had to endure quite serious injuries during his relatively short career which have unsurprisingly retarded his progress but his enthusiasm for the sport is high and he is ready to make strident advances in his speedway career having spent 2019 at Kent and Redcar. Vasey regards Jordan Jenkins as very high in potential saying "He has fought his way through injuries and has come back with reinforced determination. His attitude to the sport and direction are very clear and I think he sees this as his coming of age in the sport with an opportunity to fulfil his career ambitions. I look forward to his presence back where he belongs and with his courage and determination running high I feel sure that he will fulfil his role as a heat leader." Looking at the prospects for the Club in what is effectively a different environment Vasey said "I am very proud of the approach taken by the Club to the new and exciting situation that faces us. It is obvious that there is recognition of the importance of our League to develop exciting new riders in an interesting mix with riders who have gained some experience. I will be introducing one or two surprises in the next few days so keep your eyes open for them. Unveiling our team is a real pleasure the future is exciting for us as we want to rebuild this Club and there are opportunities ahead to do this in what is something of a brave new world. We want our loyal supporters to help with this and having known the Mildenhall support which is where I started my speedway career I am sure that our supporters will get behind us just as they have over the years. We anticipate changes ahead to further develop the relationship between Club and Supporters and I have used a capital letter S for what is the most important element of any Club. Let's go for it, Riders, Fans and Management alike, be fearless and resolute in support and understand our new situation. It would be so easy to say the new scheme of things is unacceptable and close down as others have. The owners of our Club have concluded that is not the way for our Mildenhall Fen Tigers. I back them to the hilt myself and hope that you will do the same. Bring your friends to West Row let's live the dream together. Other teams have fallen by the wayside and we cannot allow that to happen here at Mildenhall. Tigers roar, please come back in numbers and show us," was Vasey's message to Fen Tigers supporters.

    Rye House 2020

Rye has always been a Saturday track to me. Certain days work best for certain clubs and this is 1 of those situations. Countless times we've been wondering what to do on a Saturday, then checked the fixtures and drove an hour to catch a meeting. Would imagine I'm not the only 1 who's done this. I didn't catch 1 Rye meeting once they changed race nights!! Clubs rely on a hardcore fan base and "floating" fans to survive. Mildenhall for example are in a similar situation with people wanting something to do on a Sunday afternoon and we get fans from other local tracks visiting.
