    Racism & Speedway

What is racism nowadays anyway? I worked as part of the security team at an Ice Cube concert in Rockefellers Oslo Sentrum last night and was amazed at the amount of racist comments coming from the guys on stage. Must have used the N word on hundreds of occasions during the show and some of their songs were openly mocking the American Police and white people etc. They even had a big banner on the stage with the letters NWA on it. Not wanting to sound like a prude, but with artists like that being looked up to by todays youth, then it's no wonder attitudes are like they are. We even had to frisk everyone that came in to check they weren't bringing in weapons. Each to their own I suppose and I have to say that I'm not a fan of rap music, but there seems to be a lot of muddled messages being sent out to the youth of today about what is deemed acceptable and what isn't. Still think that most decent minded people know not to cross the line, but there are always a minority of idiots that push things too far. Personally I think that Racism was more easily defined many years ago. Nowadays I think incidents like this fall into the bullying and being disrespectful and insulting category.

    World Team Cup

Does anyone know if the meeting tonight is being streamed live on the internet? Would be more than happy to pay for it if available outside the UK. Not sure why we can't subscribe to Sky online outside of UK?

    Dackarna

No worries, but I guess the AA/Michelin European maps will work too and in English. Just play around on Google. Try this - http://www.viamichelin.co.uk/viamichelin/g.../map/Sweden-map

Try this link. Just checked it out and it appears that Malilla is approx 4 hours south of Stockholm and approx 3 hours East of Gothenburg. http://kartor.eniro.se/ Then click on Vägbeskrivning after you have typed your destination. You can then decide where you want to travel from.

    Norwegian Speedway

Hi Rabs. Seems Lars jnr is doing ok and hope he decides to have a go in the UK at some point. There are a few promising youngsters here and I guess the proof of how good they are would be if they could go head to head with some British youngsters. Would be nice to set up a couple of meetings, perhaps a short UK tour and maybe a fixture or two over here. Might alert the attentions of a few British Promoters anyway? The latest results and scores are on the link below: http://oslomk.no/article.asp?w=28093418&am...level2=28093239

  11. Just wanted to post a few links to sites in Norway for anyone who is interested. Poole fans will be interested in a new generation Gunnestad perhaps? http://www.oslomk.no/article.asp?w=2789036...level1=12445316 http://www.henrikbauer.no/1.htm http://www.motorsportforbundet.no/t2.asp
  12. But how many have they gained..?
  13. I agree Subedei. Gonna be at either Reading or Smallmead.
  14. Might be at Smallmead now?
  15. Tough luck on Andersen and the best reply for him would be to step up a further gear next season in the Elite League and show Benfield what they've missed out on. Hans is an entertaining rider, and imo, he should be in ahead of Iversen who is not in the same class. Overall I do like the balance of the GP Series, and there is a selection of fine riders involved that will further help BSI sell the series around Europe.
