  2. King's Lynn have not confirmed to enter this meeting and with the Mildenhall promotion releasing this without their consent then I doubt they very much they will be now..... shame the promotion haven't got the decency to call them!!! Edit Have now spoken to Mildenhall promotion and can confirm King's Lynn and none of it's riders will be at this meeting due to such heavy race commitments already this month plus the fact that this date is also reserved for the KO Cup final if Newport make it through and also if King's Lynn get anymore rain offs this date may have to be used for their own meetings. We wish Mildenhall the best of luck with the Big Bang 2 and hope it is a success even without the Stars there

Was updated at 11:58pm , thanks for all the support, some may never be happy with my efforts even though today I have managed to promote my own club by standing in the town centre and handing out leaflets, have 2 fillings at the dentist, run a meeting (which by the way had a healthy crowd because of the fact I had PROMOTED) and then finally get home to update websites and now pack to get on a flight at 7pm tommorrow mourning! Guess how I feel when I read some of the damn right slanderous comments, all I can say is thank you to the genuine people and to the others...... You know where to find me if you ever want to talk face to face!'...... that means never because you're too busy hiding behind your computer screens! lol JC ps the kings lynn crowd had no privledges of being told before anyone else tonight
  4. World Speedway Champion, Jason Crump, has been forced to withdraw from tonights Elite League Riders Championship due to an inflamed knee, Crump is upset he has had to withdraw ‘I rode last night for Poole but it got worse and worse, I hate to let the fans down but I feel that if I ride it could lead to bigger problems, I must let it rest!’, the good new for fans is that Jason Crumps fellow Australian team mate, Troy Batchelor, will replace him in the line up ‘King’s Lynn is my former track and I earlier in the season I racked up a maximum there, my riding ability has come on even more since then and hopefully I can do my club proud!’ said an excited Batchelor. There are a few other minor changes with Freddie Lindgren replacing the injured Peter Karlson and Adam Shields replacing Niels Krister Iversen, also another ex home favorite is Travis McGowan coming in to replace Matej Zagar. Series director Jonathan chapman says this should be the final line up ‘As of Midday today we have phoned all the riders to confirm they will be here, the only slight doubt is Joe Screen who is still not 100% fit, if he does pull out then track reserve and local hero Tomas Topinka will take his place, so all in all it really should be an entertaining meeting for the fans and one that I really am looking forward to!’ (latest ELRC line up, changes are in Bold) 1. Freddie Lindgren, Wolverhampton 2. Troy Batchelor, Poole 3. Chris Harris, Wild Card 4. Davey Watt, Eastbourne 5. Joe Screen, Belle Vue 6. Adam Shields, Lakeside 7. Rory Schlein, Coventry 8. 5. The Super7even series in it’s first year has surpassed all expectations according to series director Jonathan Chapman, only a year ago British Speedway was seeing a worrying trend of riders not turning up to the major events and crowds at a low level, but with 4 of the 7 events already taken place he is extremely positive about what the series has achieved so far, ‘publicity is at an all time high for these events, ask anyone in speedway what super7even is and they will be able to tell you, even more exciting than that is the fact that people outside of the sport are starting to pick up on it thanks to the publicity we have got in national papers and media, for example the sexy7even girls had an article and photo in the front part of the Daily Express, riders have been more keen than ever to take part and most importantly the fans have turned up in force with some crowds up 200% on last year!’ The series started with the Elite League Pairs which was a massive success with a good crowd and good racing, the series then moved on to the British Under 21 Final which held it’s own and provided a platform for the young Brits, unfortunately the 4 team tournament was washed out which was a huge disappointment but thankfully another date was found and when that comes up this weekend we should see another healthy crowd and some more great racing, the British Final turned back the clock and showed what we have been missing since it’s hay day back in the 90’s, and that was helped by the tie up with BSI for the top finisher to be the wild card in the GP, only this weekend gone the Premier League Pairs was successfully staged and although it wasn’t at a neutral venue it provided the best racing seen at a super7even event so far and more importantly capitalised being on the eve of the British GP with an outstanding crowd. Super 7even admittedly has had a few small problems with a change of venue for the Elite League Riders championship due to technical difficulties and some fans not happy about the team selection process, Chapman emphasises that everything has it’s teething problems, ‘In the first year of any new venture you have teething problems, the main thing is to learn from these and the improve the product the following year, it is flattering that there has been so much debate from fans over the selection of certain riders and teams in the events because to me it shows that people are more interested then they have ever have been before, unfortunately though you can not keep everyone happy and while I appreciate peoples views I still have to stay focused on the whole picture’ he was then questioned about Redcars non-appearance in the 4’s, ‘1st time round I decided they were seriously weakened so I replaced them with another team, unfortunately the event was rained off and a lot of fans supporting the 8 teams were there, they had paid for their fuel, entrance and probably bought a programme so I decided to keep the same line up as it would be hugely inconsiderate to those people if I took their team out’. One of the things confusing people is the replacement of riders in teams that have already been announced ‘as far as I am concerned once a team has qualified and been announced in the line up they will be in the event unless they are seriously weakened, so if a rider leaves a club then his DIRECT replacement will replace him in that line up’ Asked to summarise the series so far Chapman said ‘when you put things in perspective we have achieved an incredible amount, publicity is high and crowds have increased significantly, this is because we have presented the series the right way and we have put on some great shows, I’m confident people will be coming back again and that Super7even is here to stay!’
  6. This is Jonathan chapman breaking one of my own rules to never post on forums but I believe it is neccasary at the moment because of all the doom and gloom surrounding what promises to be one of the most exciting meetings of 2007! The qualification system may not have been explained to the full extent on the BSPA website but has been explained on the www.super7even.com, I understand that some people may have not fully read it so I will explain it in full on here. As people know last years averages don't neccasarily represent riders performances this year so it was decided that with ALL super7even events we would use REAL TIME averages, this is probably something that has never been done before and is as far as i'm concerned the best way to get the most in form teams into a competition, basically the cut off date was Friday 13th and all meetings up to that date were used to calculate EVERY single rider in the premier league..... ok this may be open to flaws such as some teams only having 4 official fixtures and some 7 but surely this is the most accurate way to get the best line up? As far as I can see this is a positive move forward, the averages are published on the super7even website and are 100% accurate, the 8th seeded team is for us to decide and I believe with Ulrich Ostergarrd (peterborough asset) and Jason Lyons in the Birmingham line up they pose a big threat of being a surprise package. Below are the teams including their REAL TIME AVERAGE for the their top 4 riders as of FRIDAY 13th APRIL TOP 7 King’s Lynn 36.46 (Daniel Nermark, Tomas Topinka, Paul Lee, Chris Mills, Res Trevor Harding) Redcar 35.65 (Gary Havelock, James Grieves, Mathieu Tressarrieu, Chris Kerr Res: Dan Giffard) Rye House 34.91 (Tai Woffinden, Chris Neath, Stuart Robson, Steve Boxall Res: Tommy Allen) Glasgow 33.50 (George Stancl, Shane Parker, David McAllen, Lee Dicken Res: Robert Ksiezak) Isle Of Wight 30.66 (Chris Holder, Jason Bunyan, Kryzstof Stojanowski, Glen Phillips Res: Cory Gathercole) Workington 30.53 (Kauko Nieminen, James Wright, Craig Branney, Kenneth Hansen Res: Mattia Carpenese) Somerset 29.88 (Magnus Zetterstrom, Emil Kramer, Richie Hawkins, Jordan Frampton Res: Simon Walker) SEEDED TEAM Birmingham 28.61 (Jason Lyons, Ulrich Ostergaard, Emiliano Sanchez, Aiden Collins Res: Brent Werner) GROUP A King’s Lynn, Glasgow, Somerset & Redcar GROUP B Rye House, Isle Of Wight, Birmingham & Workington NB If any team is seriously weakened due to injuries then they can be replaced at the discretion of Management Committee up to 10 days before the event, Sheffield (average of 28.85) are 1st reserves. I hope this clears a few things up and remember these events will evolve over the next few years, what we must remeber that not many years ago we wouldn't even see a line up until a week before the event, at least now supporters up and down the country know what is happening a whole month before the event....... surely that's got to be good for the sport? regards JC
  7. All will be revealed at 9am Thursday morning by visiting www.super7even.com
  8. Hope everyone is looking forward to this meeting, wonder if anyone has posted the details on the Peterborough forum yet with Hall and Ostegarrd in it? Anyway just arrived at the track and it's a beautiful day so hope we get to see some great racing tonight! Our pick is either Lewis Bridger or Mark Jones to win it!
  9. INTERNATIONAL YOUNG GUNS THIS WEDNESDAY King’s Lynn Speedway has announced a last minute fixture for this Wednesday evening, the club had previously called off their premier league match against Edinburgh because of the World Cup semi final but have now decided to run an International Young guns meeting that will feature an awesome display of young talent including Mark Jones (the young brother of Ashley Jones), Lewis Bridger, Cameroon Woodward, Chris Mills, John Oliver, Trevor Harding, James Brundle, John Oliver, Darren Mallett, Ben Powell, Mark Thompson and Shane Waldron amongst lots of others ‘this meeting looks to be a real cracker, our fans will love seeing Mark Jones in competitive action for the first time, especially up against such tough opposition, if he can cut the mustard against that lot then there’s no doubt he will put himself in the picture for a team spot at King’s Lynn in the future!’ said stars co-promoter, Jonathan Chapman. Lewis Bridger will be another sure fire hit with the fan’s after proving his capabilities in the Elite league this year, he also put on an amazing display at King’s Lynn in the British Under 21 Final earlier in the year, racing on lines that had only been seen a decade before when Mark Loram was in the team. Then there’s his Eastbourne team mate, Cameroon Woodward, another fine young Australian. Current Stars team members, Chris Mills, Trevor Harding and John Oliver will clearly be trying to show him their capabilities, having a home track advantage. Other young riders include American, Matt Brown, who is known to the King’s Lynn public as Buffalo Bill after his second half races at King’s Lynn a few weeks ago, he’s a keen young rider who clearly has no fear and looked incredibly fast even though his style wasn’t that comfortable! Another young face who will be keen to prove his worth is Shane Waldron, the Stars’s own no 8 who is currently riding full time with Plymouth, and finally another rider who is worth a mention is James Brundle, the 19 year old is currently plying his trade at Mildenhall but still belongs to King’s Lynn, there’s no doubt he could be another winner on the day. Parade time will be at 7:30pm, there will be 20 qualifying races and a Grand Final for the 4 top scorers, admission prices will be as normal Adults £11, Concessions £8, Juniors £4, Kids 11 and under Free, plus you will receive a FREE race card, so there’s no need to buy a programme this week. Gold privilege card holders along with silver and bronze ones too will not get free entry but will be entitled to a special £2 discount off of admission. FULL LINE UP 05/07/06 1. Adam Allott 2. Andrew Barge 3. Chris Mills 4. Mark Thompson 5. John Oliver 6. Daren Mallett 7. James Purchase 8. Lewis Bridger 9. Ulrich Ostegarrd 10. Trevor Harding 11. Matt Brown 12. James Brundle 13.
