Have you any idea on the background of the Somerset promotion? Serious question, out of curiousity.
-
Why do people post things like this? "I know more than you do" - either name the riders in question or keep quiet
-
What a team to watch at the OTA that would be - Zagar, Lambert and Wright around the OTA would be absolute mustard!! Sadly, I'm not sure Zagar is on the radar and reckon he could be replaced by Andersen which would also be a good signing for us. I just hope any Somerset side doesn't include either Holder!

Are Leicester, Rye House, Somerset And King's Lynn Cheats?

I'm in a similar boat. They have to either re-assess all of them who haven't ridden here or nobody... not just pick and choose certain riders they want to give a new figure too! -

Heaven forbid a promoter voted for the best interest of British Speedway and not their own personal club and who they could of potentially signed. Heaven forbid! It's more like a breath of fresh air! -
He can stay there.
-
Better get the rocket scientist in then, as you haven't worked it out. Could he do it on a cold wet damp Wednesday night in Somerset? No thanks.
-
Can't afford or won't spend?
-
I don't think it's a case of not having the money, as that is very much not the case I would say. It's more a case of not pissing it up the wall for the sake of it and working within our needs.

David Bellego.

That poster however also posts absolute nonsense though - although I'd be happy if it was true. He would be superb at the OTA on a regular basis. I know it was years and years ago but he was mustard when he came before.

Since when has a newspaper confirmed anything? It isn't a direct quote by MF at all.

Reassessed Averages
Najjer replied to dontforgetthefueltapsbruv's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Anybody suggesting Holder should be re-assessed needs a brain check. He rode here the same as everybody else last season, so there is no doubt he should be on whatever figure he achieved regardless of if he can or can't up that figure. He's there for the taking just like anybody else is. Frankly I wouldn't go near him if I was a promoter as I wouldn't want him in my team and think he's a spent force and at best will only maintain his average instead of increasing it massively. -
Both averaged around 8 at home and around 6 away - which isn't bad at all, especially when you consider Richard had a real bad patch where he had a couple of 1s or 2s from memory. Not to mention, most people only go to home matches so don't really care much for what they do away. Just for how good they are at the OTA is reason alone that they have to be signed as a priority IMO.

Whatever the team is, Lawson absolutely Wright HAVE to be in it. Simple as that as far as I'm concerned.
-
It's a shame they didn't bring back the 'Golden Double Tac Sub' where riders could score double points, but had to work for it off 15 metres. Jason Doyle scoring a 21 point 6 ride maximum at Reading for Somerset in 2008 to send us through in the KO Cup is still one of my best memories of speedway when he came from last to first in heat 14.

How is that even relevant to the post quoted? You are literally obsessed with Stevebrum. It's an unhealthy addiction you have.
-
Let's hope so. He is superb at the OTA.

David Bellego Any Takers?

Somerset bound? -
Partially right - but to have PIRATES POOLE on the new logo is not in line with the current brand no matter which way you look at it.
-
At least you've managed to get the POOLE and PIRATES part round the right way! The fact that the official logo reads PIRATES POOLE is a big mistake for branding purposes.
-
It's your main point of branding so I would say it is very important to get right.
-
Pathetic.
-
Somerset has a reasonably good logo.
-
What an awful new club crest/logo. It's like something from the 90s and must of taken all of 5 minutes to put together. Awful and bland design.
