That was a rumour we heard at Scunthorpe last night as we needed 2 guests for tonight at Berwick then had to choose 2 more as our other choice, Wallinger, was injured in the Plymouth meeting.

27/06/19 Swindon v King's Lynn. Premiership supporters cup tie.
IronScorpion replied to Sidney the robin's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
But no Nicol so on another thread, a poster put up "does Nicol have to have a 4.5 CL average converted down to 3 for PL or are they trying to get him in on his assessed June average which might give him a 3 assessed for PL. -
Good news that Jake is fit enough to race again. 2 meetings in 2 days took its toll before so we will see how his shoulder is holding up with 2 meetings for us this weekend. Next week & what will normally be the case, Jake will ride for Ipswich on the Thursday & then for us on the Friday & with the change in averages for July, Jake has lost his partner in crime at reserve for Ipswich in Heeps with him swapping places with Kennett, so if their riders still persist in dropping points, will Jake get 6 or 7 rides which would do him more harm than good in the long run.

Scunthorpe v Eastbourne 28.6.19
IronScorpion replied to ScunnyDan's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
You asked the question of 1. What it would feel like to win the "TREBLE"? at which I replied. You did not state at what level. As to the meeting, guests are sorted, weather sorted, track will be sorted for entertaining racing. Have fun travelling as some need to. -

Elation, actually. Even the QUADROUPLE + Fours, Pairs & Individual Champion. http://www.scunthorpe-speedway.com/?page_id=2840 "I was there" are words that I can use as I have followed Scunthorpe Speedway through thick & thin at Quibell Park & Ashby Ville to the present days at the EWR. I also travelled down to Mildenhall in 2011 & down to Somerset in 2012. -
Rumours from a friend who knows .................................................. Are the "members" the committee of 5 or all the promoters that constitute the "members" who meet up at Rugby almost every month. Those who want to make changes will & those who persevere with who they have got will not, for another month or 2 at least.

Forward thinking as it was mentioned at pre AGM Meetings at Rugby that we wished to move BACK to a Friday. Normally 2 ...................... to hold his hands behind his back to stop an altercation with the likes of you & a few others. chill pill guys. -
Scunthorpe v Eastbourne 28.6.19
IronScorpion replied to ScunnyDan's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
YES! Edinburgh, Glasgow, Redcar as well as Scunthorpe & any other team that has an ALTERNATIVE race night when any of these 4 are racing. You would know this if your promoter turned up at the AGM. Oops, sorry. You did not have a representative in 2017 , then had one there in 2018 only to disband early in 2019 when financial promises did not follow through. Still, we do not want to see any clubs leave our sport for whatever reasons. so chill & have a -

I'm sure I have seen it mentioned somewhere that with Garrity more than likely ready the week after, Worrall would be our guest. -

REDCAR V EDINBURGH. SATURDAY 22/6/19 @ 7:30
IronScorpion replied to Norfolk Bear's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
With the amount of rain offs we have had, speedway fans are getting out & about hoping to see some decent racing. I have seen some, at Scunthorpe, wearing Cradley, Belle Vue & Swindon colours. -
Reading some of the comments on here, you would think they have been copied & pasted from our threads last year(pre & post deadline)

We have a couple of riders that can ride tight tracks, unfortunately they are not there tonight. Would be difficult if they were. -

£3 for a programme with 20 + pages seemed to get all the best scores when the programme review comes out in the SS. A simple 8 page programme for £1 does it for me. -
Scunthorpe Vs Sheffield 21st June Championship
IronScorpion replied to TigerAl's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Best wishes to Zaine with what looked like a bad one having been throw, what looked like, 6 foot in the air. I expected a tight meeting & even though the score does not reflect this, the racing certainly did. Credit to all riders for giving it a go but, also, being fair & leaving room, just, for racing at its best. Who would not be entertained by that whether you won or lost. -

Scunthorpe Vs Sheffield 21st June Championship
IronScorpion replied to TigerAl's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
An assessed non English rider could be good. It is a shame Lidsey & Becker are getting new averages over 4 from 24/6 as they would have been good if assessed at 5.2. Could Manzares come back? Fit from his MMA training & has done reasonably well when racing in America. -
Scunthorpe Vs Sheffield 21st June Championship
IronScorpion replied to TigerAl's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I think the reason that we have not replaced Bailey boils down to a new ruling that teams that have not started too well, there is an increase for team building from 38 to 40 from 1st July. Most teams should increase from 38 because of the race format but at the moment we stand at 37.58 during June & as far as I am aware, only our away meeting at Sheffield should alter our team averages. Therefore, at the moment we have 2.42 + 2.90(Bailey's average) + or - any changes in averages from June to July. Whether this means 1 change or 2 depending on how long Garrity is out for. A rider change of around 5.3 for Bailey is worth waiting for. -

I would think Garrity will still be missing, Allen hoping to be back for the 4's on Sunday so don't think he will be available as we have meeting at Eastbourne on Saturday as well. Ayres should be back plus a guest at reserve. Worrall & Douglas for top 2 out & Rowe as reserve. -

It does not matter what the weather is like now, the track is WATERLOGGED! It is too wet to prepare or race on.
