  1. Hi Pollyanna, click on Eliteserien 2007, and then Kalendar. It'll bring you up a list of the scores so far this season. Hopefully! If you're after individual scores aswell try http://www.speedway.nu/2007/resultat.asp?elit. For each match ridden there's 2 options. The top option (usually entitled 16) is the basic scoresheet, while the bottom option brings up the heat by heat comments. How's your Swedish?
  2. They do, but they're so awkward over there! Imagine visiting there from a country where they use miles, expecting them to use kms (which they do do formally - roadsigns etc) but informally they also use miles, but those miles are completly different to the miles most other people are used to. Ugh! Aspirin please! I don't know for sure, but always thought they used "Swedish miles" for longer distances. And saves time. "Mil" is quicker to say than "Kilometer".
  3. Somehow I doubt it! The toilet will probably be painted the wrong colour or something.
  4. They've also used King's Lynn current averages despite only having ridden 4 matches this year.
  5. Was it "poxy" when Belle Vue won it?
  6. Indeed, and Iversen got passed twice by an EL 3 pointer. I'm sure he'll do well. Unlike some, I do not think it will be a foregone conclusion with Poole. Do't think they'll have it their own way round King's Lynn. Was browsing through some old programmes a few weeks back and came across Poole's visit to KL in umm 2002 I think it was. Pedersen got 1 point (and KL had a crap side that year!), and my programme notes suggested he was not overly impressive. He has, of course, improved tenfold since then, but makes you wonder... As for Crump, well, I never thought he got to grips with King's Lynn, despite what his average suggests. Gated brilliantly more often than not, and not slow by any means, but struggled in traffic. Even Doris beat him! I can recall about 3 passes in about 2 years round Lynn. The best of which was courtesy of the God that is Nicki Pedersen. He slowed going into first bend - Eastbourne riders sh*t 'emselves and Crump was leading by the end of the 1st lap. If I remember correctly. Very open field though for the Pairs. 7 or 8 teams are in with a very good chance. Personally I fancy Reading for an outside bet. If they qualify, Arena might be worth a flutter too, bearing in mind their early season challenge at King's Lynn. Should be a cracker!
  7. Think it's been widely considered as their off night for a couple of years now, although Friday was used a lot last year. Will be a nice to have something Speedway wise at Easter time. The stocks tend to take over! As for Sheffield on a Thursday, well, I'm delighted! Not everyone has every weekend free. And some don't have any! Unless, they y'know, suddenly feel ill *cough*. Putting the fixtures on a range of tracks and days allows a wider range of fans to visit these events. Hopefully!
  8. Didn't Sheffield race it on a Sunday last year?

    16 Lapper

Did someone spill the beans about there being 8 riders in the last heat? Hope the injury is not serious btw!

I do know of Michael Bach Nielsen. Last time I saw him ride in the 90s though, so he's definitely no youngster. Not even sure if he's still riding either.

Chris Harris in the GP '07

Only the Brits were revealed from what I recall. Think they're naming the other 2 today(?) at some point. Well done Mr Harris. Gutsy little racer who won't the GPs any harm whatsoever. Will need to spend 4 months during the winter learning how to gate though!! Richardson has had his chance and will be interesting what he does next year.
  12. Don't think there's a dislike there EVMJ, but rather he was a TAD wild/scary. Sure I wasn't the only one that needed a change of underwear..
  13. Slick and dry again. Can't recall them watering the track once. Perhaps they knew something I didn't... Topinka, Mills, Batchelor (once he got going) had little problems with the track. Whether they were happy or not, I don't know. Nermark didn't look as fast as normal. Oliver it's hard to tell given the tough company. Doolan rarely does well in individuals and hasn't been that hot at KL lately either, while Harding was somewhat as you'd expect. Had moments but not the quickest rider out there. If the track is same in a couple of weeks, Rye will have a field day! Tommy Allen was a keen visitor I noticed...
  14. Considering the play-offs are scheduled for the very end of October, I don't see what choice the promotion had. Either stage it before the POs or not at all. One of the better individual meets I've seen in a while. Can see Calamity Jane being back at the NA a few more times this year..
  15. Confirmed line-up: 7 lynn riders David Howe Davey Watt Chris Holder Paul Lee Theo Pijper Shaun Tacey Mark Jones Tai Woffinden Jason King Posted by Jonathan Chapman over on the KL forum.

What's this about Gollob retiring? News to me! Terrible shame if it's the case
  19. Theo Pijper was definitely also mentioned.
  20. Hey Spook, are you calling me crap? Have signed up on the forum. Saw stuff about "dangling foreskins" though. Am I on the correct forum?
  21. Thank God I'm not the only one! I did manage to get high 29's after a while. 29.515 is a best so far, but have a tendency to spend most of my time on the center green
  22. Both riders were at fault as I saw it. To a varying degree. Andersen could've rode it differently. He's an aggressive defensive rider. He defends his lead (or second place, whatever) until it's gone which is why he's so great to watch (IMO). The crash was caused by Nicholls trying to barge himself through. (Andersen was narrowily leading all the way down the straight) Both riders were giving elbows left, right and center. Had they been concentrating on their own races it may never had happened, but if did. Such is life. The Andersen/Nicholls stuff is great to watch. Fantastic entertainment. I do sometimes wonder how much longer it'll stay "on-track" though!
  23. But Baggy...blinkered is my middle name! I saw that (what a relief my TV isn't on the blink after all) but the incident didn't happen on the start/finish straight. It happened going into the first bend (and Andersen was riding his own bike at that point, not Nicholls'.). Sure it may have "riled" Nicholls up, hence the incident which followed. At the end of the day, the track was wet. Very, very wet. It must've been difficult enough to stay on the bike at the best of times, nevermind when you're being "nudged" going into a bend.
  24. Nicholls was excluded because he nudged Andersen going into the bend. He even admitted so himself. And given the track conditions, it's hardly a surprise that Andersen fell is it? Nicholls caused Andersen to fell. End of. What's this? Andersen Vs Nicholls part 4, 5, 6?
