My figures are a few weeks out of date but he's nearer 4.5 than 5 adding on the extra meetings in my head.
4.57 according to SpeedwayGB - their averages, in fairness, are kept quite up to date
-
Tungate had moments of being dreadful for Swindon last year, but ultimately he came good for the most part when given patience.
He's just one of those riders that looks awesome when everything is going right.
But if not, he can look totally lost - putting it as diplomatically as I can!
Congrats to KL; it's a sign of a good side when they can win despite not everyone pulling their weight.
-
So the track will be like the M3.
Never seen a Speedway track with half a dozen diversions before!

What about bringing Gino back to replace Covatti.
Not sure what team average you can build up to after 4H & 4A but Scunthorpe's new average according to green sheets is 40.80 with Stefan replacing Wallner.
If we kept Sarj at he moment would only leave 4.22 for a replacement and not a lot about. Ben Morley 3.85, Danny Ayres 3.70 or two of our assets Castagna 4.00 & Stachyra 4.00. I think I would rather go like for like with Covatti and try another 2 pointer.
Scunthorpe new averages (Column C) comes to 39.76.
Sarj needs some more meetings to get a new average. When that happens, he will drop to a high 3.XX average, or low 4.xx, which would enable a redeclaration to be made, if they decided to go down that route.

Jacobs? After last season..surely not
After increasing his average considerably you mean?
Or did something else happen?
-
I was thinking the same re: Jacobs + Sarj.
Would give the side a better all round feel, although clearly not as strong as the one that started the season.
Hopefully Hume makes a swift & full recovery, it sounds like a really nasty injury
-
Only potential complication I could see is regarding Etheridge, and how he got a visa so quickly. They are normally not straight forward, and can be a bit time consuming.
-
Hopefully they will give Jacobs a go when the new averages come out. Although Sarj is probably looking for a new team spot too.

What happened with Vissing ?
It appears there was a conflict of personalities between him and Havelock!
-
Ive got to be missing something here, can someone confirm I'm not losing it. Charles Wright is not in the semi final but Rory Schlein is. It's the 24th today not the 1st.
With BSPA, every day is the 1st!

I'm astonished there is nothing on the BSPA web site about this. The man is a legend for goodness sake!
Must admit the very same crossed my mind. Poor from BSPA.
-
So Schlein is included but Kyle Newman isn't...
Is this due to his injury?
-
Reckon Clegg will be really up for this one, so could prove to be an astute guest choice.
Has the makings of a great match.
-
The sport is crazy, on one hand there are R/R and guests, then guests getting injuried while guesting. Then on the other hand, riders with no teams not even being asked or able to guest...you couldn't make it up!
Welcome to British Speedway!

Both semis should be same day with no clash with clubs. No reason Sheffield couldn't be same day as Newcastle.

Spot on. IIRC, we said the exact same thing last year!

Was told on Wednesday night Newman was having a spin on Friday (today).

Don't remember Puk ever getting 5 at home.
Holder will get better he is generally not at his best early in the season.

Against your side, too!
Iversen was for the large part very consistent for Lynn especially since his resurgence, but just like anyone he had his off days.

A huge test ahead as the Aces always go well at the Green.
Time for Clegg to have his best meeting with 2 weak Aces reserves.
We won't be saying that at the end of the season that's for sure.
We need decent performances from 1-5 to nullify the potential of a good score from Worrall whilst Bjerre has had some superb meetings here although not in recent seasons. That said he seems to have hit the ground running from the off.
A win of any sort will be good , so will go for 47-43.
Opinions?
Judging by Bewley's score tonight, I am not sure how "weak" the Belle Vue reserves are!

People critisizing KK and Poole for him not riding are completely wrong.
I have found out that once a fascility has been granted it cannot be altered, as the bspa make sure the rider offered the guest spot is honored. Poole could not bring in KK once a fascility had been granted.
Really? I seem to recall King's Lynn leaving Stuart Robson and Stefan Nielsen well and truly in the sh*t last year cancelling their guest bookings when they had already take time off work/were en route.
-
Stefan Nielsen in for Bates.

Sedgmen 1, Bellego 0.

Re Josh I'm not overly surprised something about him in the Swindon side last year never sat well with me , despite what some say don't think a particularly influential member of the side was very keen on him?
The Aussies were trying to get rid of Wright for most of last year.

Last time Ellis rode RYe was in 2015. ( albeit NL standard)
Dropped one point off a full max riding for Birmingham, and had only dropped one point going into the final of the NLRC where he clattered the air fence trying a last bend sweep on Ben Morley. .. hardly stinkers.

He's also had meetings there at PL level where he scored 1 point.

Ellis has had some stinkers at Rye in the past, so Swindon do look very vulnerable @ 3 and 4.
It's the one track that Grondal nearly always scores well on, so Swindon will be relying on those points to keep it somewhat close.
I think Rye have a cracking side though, and half expect them to go unbeaten at Hoddesdon this year.

Palm Toft's average is incorrect, Scranny.
