  1. Tungate had moments of being dreadful for Swindon last year, but ultimately he came good for the most part when given patience.

He's just one of those riders that looks awesome when everything is going right.

But if not, he can look totally lost - putting it as diplomatically as I can!

Congrats to KL; it's a sign of a good side when they can win despite not everyone pulling their weight.

  2. What about bringing Gino back to replace Covatti.

Not sure what team average you can build up to after 4H & 4A but Scunthorpe's new average according to green sheets is 40.80 with Stefan replacing Wallner.

If we kept Sarj at he moment would only leave 4.22 for a replacement and not a lot about. Ben Morley 3.85, Danny Ayres 3.70 or two of our assets Castagna 4.00 & Stachyra 4.00. I think I would rather go like for like with Covatti and try another 2 pointer.

Scunthorpe new averages (Column C) comes to 39.76.

Sarj needs some more meetings to get a new average. When that happens, he will drop to a high 3.XX average, or low 4.xx, which would enable a redeclaration to be made, if they decided to go down that route.

  3. A huge test ahead as the Aces always go well at the Green.

Time for Clegg to have his best meeting with 2 weak Aces reserves.

We won't be saying that at the end of the season that's for sure.

We need decent performances from 1-5 to nullify the potential of a good score from Worrall whilst Bjerre has had some superb meetings here although not in recent seasons. That said he seems to have hit the ground running from the off.

A win of any sort will be good , so will go for 47-43.

    Opinions?

Judging by Bewley's score tonight, I am not sure how "weak" the Belle Vue reserves are!

  4. People critisizing KK and Poole for him not riding are completely wrong.

I have found out that once a fascility has been granted it cannot be altered, as the bspa make sure the rider offered the guest spot is honored. Poole could not bring in KK once a fascility had been granted.

Really? I seem to recall King's Lynn leaving Stuart Robson and Stefan Nielsen well and truly in the sh*t last year cancelling their guest bookings when they had already take time off work/were en route.

  5. Last time Ellis rode RYe was in 2015. ( albeit NL standard)

Dropped one point off a full max riding for Birmingham, and had only dropped one point going into the final of the NLRC where he clattered the air fence trying a last bend sweep on Ben Morley. .. hardly stinkers.

He's also had meetings there at PL level where he scored 1 point.

  6. Ellis has had some stinkers at Rye in the past, so Swindon do look very vulnerable @ 3 and 4.

It's the one track that Grondal nearly always scores well on, so Swindon will be relying on those points to keep it somewhat close.

I think Rye have a cracking side though, and half expect them to go unbeaten at Hoddesdon this year.
