    Workington 2024

Will it have to be Sunday afternoon? I'd read on here that they'd bought the track lights from Peterborough - maybe they're planning stock cars or something then because you don't need lights in the afternoon.

    Dream Team

    Now that's a rumour!

    Dream Team

My team from a 2007 submission to speedwayplus was: 1. Jeremy Doncaster 2. Per Jonsson 3. John Cook 4. Scott Nicholls 5. Preben Eriksen 6. Billy Sanders 7. Kenny Carter
  4. I don't think Pedersen's reputation is totally justified, others have pulled many similar moves it's just he was so high profile and Nicki bashing 'caught on'. Hans A was very hard with riding others to the fence or dive bombing (one time at Reading I recall he did it about three times, causing another to fall or seriously get in trouble), as was Gollob - remember Boycie's golden moment? The fact we're still talking about them shows how they're missed in my view. Oh and yes, Nicki's a lovely fella to talk to.

Thanks, that's great. As an outsider it would be great to know things like what are the criteria for acceptance into the BSPL club as it seems to be something which can be granted or not dependent upon your face fitting, including the granting or cessation of licences.

No problem with that, so if Buster hadn't bought it we only have conjecture as to whether they would have continued.
  7. So my predictions continue to be pony (20 point Poole win). I see glasgow were making the starts - was it the biggest choke since the 1970 seven-litre three speed Plymouth Cuda?

If that were the case, then why did the sale go ahead? Surely the owners could choose not to sell if they wanted?

I think it was Chapman who stepped in to save Peterborough a few years ago wasn't it? Can't see why he'd want to dig his heels in no matter what was offered to him, he was prepared to sell before but had no written offers - ' put your money where your mouth is' comes to mind. I agree though that this season it hasn't looked like he's been trying to extend or move elsewhere but I'm only on the very outskirts of this and have no knowledge of what's actually been going on. Offer a fair price and that should result in a sale (future value increase clause included or not).
  10. I think if they include him next season they need their bumps felt. Woffinden will be somewhere as well, probably Sheffield.
  11. Should be a comfy Poole win, 55-35

Can't access the article but the link title says the headline, good, hope they're soon out of money.
  13. Think I'll watch on replay tomorrow, this is taking way too long
  14. Really dull meeting so far though racing wise.

autocorrect I presume, 'sea change'. Good to see Sport England object.
  16. Keep the faith, long way to go yet.
  17. Yep, messing about refuelling etc. which is not necessary, cost B Cook there.
  18. Is he still injured or have they printed the programmes so the team will have to stay the same
  19. But it hasn't been crap weather where I am, down south/east, 25 degrees and sunny this weekend too.

    Brandon Update

And Matt Ford said no problem to that and to whatever the stock car man might want, so all the talk about numbers at Swindon seems totally irrelevant.
