  1. I know that but it doesn't change the fact that he's only beaten one rider of note, which was due to their awful start. Given the fact Ipswich have improved as an outfit recently, Rew and Riss in particular, I don't think he'd have score much more than the RR score.
  2. Disagree on that. Wright has never been that great at Foxhall - yes, he beat our reserves and Riss there this year, not many riders didn't! He had one victory over Emil when Emil made a shocking gate and was in last and took a while to get past Brennan. Ipswich are stronger now than they were earlier in the year. As always, meetings are not won on paper and I'm really looking forwards to see how tonight pans out.

    Brandon Update

I watched the Phil Morris & CVS section and have been following the rest on here. I was surprised more was not made of the demographic - kids and Granddads, because 3G pitches or other 'leisure facilities' mentioned here and with Peterborough seem to cater for active participants, not spectators, young old and disabled.
  4. Ipswich won by 18 at Foxhall so no reason why the Aces can't do that tonight - don't think R/R will hamper them too much, their reserves perform well at home.
  5. King and Hume were poor at Oxford today, they will need to be better tomorrow for Ipswich to progress.
  6. Well I for one hope he has a tapes exclusion and three e/fs
  7. Sure, Eurosport love him. If not get Bartek to guest, his MA from Birmingham all those years ago allows it. Sorry did you say Sheffield, who are they?
  8. Maybe not now as he's crashed at Scunthorpe (Rowe that is).
  9. If Sheffield can have Kemp as a guest RS, surely Ipswich could've had Anders Rowe?
  10. If the better riders make the start/first two bends what sort of racing do you expect?
  11. Surely that's why he's on an assessed average, because he doesn't have an established MA (because it's more than two years ago)? You're right, it's all made up and makes them stronger.
  12. My recent score predictions have been pony but I had ES -12, JD - 9, KR - 5, ER - 1, DH - 1, JS - 0 and DK - 7, totalling 35 and an Aces win!
  13. No I don't but getting someone in with a higher average is cheating in my view. Same as Glasgow with Tarasenko (yes I know he 'signed' before his average went up but there were no meetings until after it had).
  14. I think the BSPL would rather it was GP rider 'in the interests of speedway' of course. Doyle is still on the start list for the Czech Golden Helmet on Sunday, wonder if he's still planning to ride in that?

    Glasgow 2023

The two are not necessarily linked - Sheffield have been allowed to have 'whoever they damn well like' for the playoffs
  16. Maybe they should just divvy out the top 14 riders at the end of the season for the play off final and let the managers pick them out one by one for their side - "all against the wall" (if anyone remembers or used to say that)
  17. Why do the BSPL want Sheffield to win? Clear rule bending yet again.
  18. He was also on the pace and would have had another if he hadn't made a mistake and fallen.
  19. Have you asked him? I'm afraid it's much more likely to be mentality and capability related than anything to do with equipment. Kurtz was poor in some of his rides last night but won two near the end when he'd got his head around it, as he explained in his interview.
  20. One of his bogie tracks for sure, it's not a billiards table throttle fest.
  21. As kurtz said in a good interview at the end, it needed to be mentally attacked, indicating nothing to do with the bikes.
  22. I don't buy that at all, he'll be wanting to win all the races he's in. No reason for his machinery to be sub-standard with all the money he's making and why would you want to lose races. He's just being beaten. The UK is not as easy as some think.
  23. Well, my prediction was way out. Biggest hero of the night for me was Jack Smith. Don't think he's ridden much at Foxhall before but got stuck in and wasn't nt afraid of the outside - when Bailey steamed under him he held it together around the outside to stay in front. Yet again poor team riding from king to lose the 5-1 in heat 3. Think this is not over and the Aces can easily pull that deficit back.
