    Stoke v Kent

MV has been a total failure ever since he came to Stoke. He is simply the most experience loser now and at Stoke he's has taken losing to whole new low level. His post match comment from this meeting is priceless, he says "we simply are not winning enough races and it’s costing us." Really Malcolm? How astute ha, ha, ha.

Buxton V Stoke (nt) 15th May

Well, miracles do happen. It has to be said that Buxton are a poor side, and their R/R only produced 1 point, but you can only beat who is on the track with you. Well done to the Stoke 'riders'.

Stoke V Belle Vue (nlkoc) 14th May

I don't take any pleasure in seeing Stoke fail. I just can't believe the arrogance and contempt for fans that comes from the promotion year, after year, after year, after year, after year... It is the promotion that fails every year.

    Stoke Make Changes

Well, those changes worked. Another home battering. Roll on 'Joke Speedway'.

Stoke V Belle Vue (nlkoc) 14th May

Well, another battering for the mighty Potters and at home again. Still no win in 2016 and no doubt more excuses will come from the inept lot who run the place. Can they go through the whole season without winning a match point? Well, it's looking possible so far...Roll on 'Joke Speedway.

Stoke Potters Sadly, The Perennial Failures

There won't be any insurance to claim on. To quote the promoter, "No company will touch the place as we've been broken into so many times." They haven't had that sort of insurance cover for many years.

Stoke Potters Sadly, The Perennial Failures

It wasn't, that was my point. It never has been. Yes and again you missed the point. Nothing won as a 'team' AGAIN! The pairs is just down to the riders efferts.

Stoke Potters Sadly, The Perennial Failures

The fact remains that the Stoke Potters have never won any 'team' silverware under this promotion and management. It has been a steady decline and slide down the speedway ladder. Yes, the manager picks the team and can't ride the bikes, but they can sack the under performers and get others in. They failed to do that to any effect in the PL and it continues in the NL. Yes they won the pairs and this proves my point, take management out of the equasion and Stoke win. The pairs is all down to the riders. Put the management back in and they lose time after time. I don't hold with all that 'this season was better' nonsense. As a team (4 and 7 rider events) they have failed again and again for years. The Stoke Potters under this promotion have won nothing!
  9. Well, after my 'discussion' at the beginning of the season and Mr Vasey basically asking everyone to 'wait and see', so I'm here to say well, we have seen and what did we get? The same flops as before. What have we seen from the Potters this season? Yet again, nothing won as a team. They finally wimped out of the NL 4s yesterday and floped in the NL. Yes, they won the pairs but that has nothing to do with the team as it is down to two riders. No management input there. 'We made it to a final' they will say. 'You got battered in that as well' I say. If you leave it to the management and the promotion you just get failure after failure. They can't even post any news, let alone an apology on their website as it has been closed for almost all of the season, why? If you go on the BSPA web site and look in the NL section you find the last press release from Stoke was on the 9th Serptember and prior to that it was 30th July. In the news section you have to go back to the 16th July for something about the Potters. So again I say to the management and the promotion...GO! You have dragged the Stoke Potters down to the lowest level of speedway and still the acheivements are pitiful. So come on Mr Vasey, what about some excuses for this season? Oh and don't bother with the 'Ben Wilson left us in the lurch' excuse as that happens to all teams and yet most seem to find replacements but Stoke never do and it has gone on like that for years.

    Stoke Speedway Track Work Update

I still stand by my comment about a lack of confidence and I ALSO included a link to the full article in order for others to read it and make up their own minds. So no need for Mr Vasey's comments or to post the article. It rather shows that he doesn't even read the posts properly. I have been a speedway fan since 1969 and I love the sport, sadly, my nearest team, Stoke, has gone down and down since I started going...FACT! Mid table PL to bottom of the NL...FACT. No chip, no hard feelings, just sadness to see my local team plummet to the bottom pf the speedway world. How would your average Stoke City football fan feel it their team was seen to fall to the bottom of the football ladder? 1. The manager would be sacked and 2 they would be calling for the head of the Chairman. So what is different?

    Stoke Speedway Track Work Update

Oh Malcolm that is pathetic. I know that piece of legislation extremely well. If I say anything that isn't true then fair enough. But opinion backed up by fact is perfectly ok. I would be very happy to test it in court. If you wouldd like to read you last post again I think you will find the law of libel could be used for some of that. I have been a journalist for 30 years and an internet journalist for over 6 years and opinion is allowed even if those who disagree don't like it. I am very happy with my life and more than happy that I don't waste my Saturday nights supporting a promotion that not only don't deserve it, but also never appreciated it. I have more than enough recorded and documented proof to counter anything you and the promotion might have. You don't scare me. What I stated is true.

    Stoke Speedway Track Work Update

You have hit the nail on the head there my friend, as that is what Stoke has needed for over 20 years...Good management! No, we are shooting the man who came in when Stoke were in the PL and he has been there as they have slid down to the NL and to last years fiasco season of being bottom and not completing the fixtures. If he comes on here as the spokesman and puts himself up as the public face of the team (after all he is the Co-Promoter/Team Manager and Press Officer) we are entitled to have a pop when the team is as bad as it has been. As I said, If he comes on here as the spokesman and puts himself up as the public face of the team (after all he is the Co-Promoter/Team Manager and Press Officer) we are entitled to have a pop when the team is as bad as it has been.

    Stoke Speedway Track Work Update

A direct quote from Mr Vasey in today's Sentinel newspaper, "The National Trophy is a competition that we want to do well in and winning your home meetings will go a long way to making that happen." This shows to me a typical lack of ambition and resignation to failure already. Surely, at this early stage in the season he should be saying, 'The National Trophy is a competition that we want to WIN!' No confidence in your team again Malcolm?
