Monday 9th May. Coventry at Home to Wolverhampton Leicester at home to Poole Both 7:30 starts -
Precisely why they needn't have made such statements on Monday. They went from clarifying Student Policy to withdrawing it, within hours They had time to come up with a new policy and still communicate that clearly
-
People aren't going to care about sponsors paying the bills when deciding how to spend their expendable income. If they can get better value by attending another sport they will. The issue is with the valid student ID. Most places accept NUS cards. IF the management is not happy to accept this, then they should've had a clear policy at the start of the season, declaring what they will accept, rather than just havign a strop and taking their ball home with them
-
Removing the student offer is ridiculous. I'm not a student, have no NUS and pay full price when i go, but in Coventry alone you have Coventry City, Wasps, Coventry Rugby Club and Coventry Blaze, all of which embrace students and accept NUS cards as proof for their discount. If people "abuse" it at the speedway, they will do the same at those other clubs. The management clearly have a strict idea of who they consider to be entitled to a discount, and it seems they are stuck in an archaic world where only youngsters can be students. This will just lead to more and more people walking away from Brandon, meaning bigger losses for the club... leading to the inevitable closure after this season

Can't see anything but a Wolves win. Harris and KK will put up a good fight, but can't see much from the rest

Coventry Bees V Leicester Lions 25/03/2016

They've still both outscored Garrity in 2 of the 3 meetings we've ridden against EL teams this season. In the other one Bates scored as many from 1 less ride whist Sarjeant scored 1 less, again from 1 less ride. If this continues he'll be bottom of our averages -
Coventry V Poole Es Second Leg 18/03/2016

Enjoyable meeting, but it was painfully obvious that only KK, Harris and Bates are in their correct roles in the team. King should never have been signed as a heatleader (especially a doubling up one), Garrity shouldve been convinced to ride 4 meetings at reserve, and Sarjeant isnt a tier 1 draft rider. Woryna looked ok, and if the team around him was as strong as it could potentially have been, then he would've been a decent addition. -
Poole V Coventry Es First Leg 16/03/16

It's stupid. If it was because Garrity didnt want to take the EDR pay rate, set up a "sponsorship deal" to makeup the shortfall. -

Ridiculous amount of rain recently up here. Cancelling practice is a good move, as it wouldve probably done more harm than good -
Doesn't sound positive to me to be honest. Sounds like a load of pie in the sky, and the "local need" bit seems like this is where the plan will come falling down. Hope I'm proven wrong... I was about the BV stadium, so fingers crossed lightning will strike twice

Great to see Garritty back. The management have taken a lot of stick over the rumours he was going elsewhere, so it's only right they get a similar amount of praise now he's back

£20 for the play-off semi final.....
-
Throw money at Emil/either Pawlicki/Zmarzlik. A big crowd in the semi is guaranteed, especially against Poole, but add in one of those and they'll have paid for themselves.

Coventry V Swindon - 21/08/2015

Hows the weather looking? Is it worth a mad dash home from London for my first meeting at Brandon in a long time? -
Ridiculous to have a gofundme page. The fans were already cheated out of money by seeing 9 and a half heats instead of 15, and now someone wants them to come up with more money?
-
If we could fit him in for Robbo he strengthens us up no end. He gets a bit of stick, but thats mainly due to the expectations we have as him as a heatleader. As a second string he'd be a great signing

Same as all virtual betting. Seems far too easy for the companies to rig in my eyes

Go Speed International Statement.

The final part of the bees statement weakens their case in my eyes. It makes it look like its all about the result rather than the conditions. Poor show -
Swindon Robins V Coventry Bees 26th May 2015
beesboybert replied to mdmc82's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Thoroughly enjoyed the meeting last night, but can't help think that the Bees threw the points away. Poor performances from Robson, JK and Harris, and then the reserves threw points away in 12 and 14. I thought the Garrity decision was probably the right one, but was shocked that the ref made the decision without looking at all the available angles, especially when the second one strengthened his opinion. As for Batchelor, how unfortunate was he that his "food poisoning" seemed to hit him hard just as he was being passed by someone? -
theyre on my timeline, but not appearing on the @speedwaygb page. strange

Im guessing they missed a tweet about Poole protecting Newman and one other... Pretty shoddy show all round

Garritty confirmed
-
Exactly this. They should have a hashtag set up, and space each pick out, it can get fans tweetin about who will pick who next etc, and have a chance at trending (even if it is only in certain areas) and therefore promoting the sport. And quite why they need to be in Rugby to select their picks is a joke. surely it could be done online/conference call?
