Nicholls as Capt...... Oh no wait I'll stick with Crump as captain please
  3. Spot on. Well said sir!
  4. I think it was wrong for Nicholls, although I can understand why he did it to a degree. Scott has always been a slow starter in the seasons, and has missed 10(ish) meetings by not having a Elite League team. The elite league is also the league he performs best in and therefore he will not have the extra cnonfidence this would bring. Chris26 as for your post, you must be joking. Scott is most certainly not finished, yes he's started poorly (possibly worse than ever) but I have no doubt he will pick up. As for him not deserving the british captaincy. Why not? He has been one of the best brits in the last few years, and I rate him as one of the best team-men and Captains I have ever seen. In Scotts 3 years as Captain at Coventry we won 2 leagues and 2 knockout cups, and a lot of it was down to Scotts captaincy. Who do you suggest would do a better job?
  5. More likely to be the other way round in my opinion. Scott will come good. I have no doubts about it, whether he has already left himself too much to do to get in the top 8 I'm not sure. But he will definately improve and be challenging in semis and finals by the end of the season
  6. Scott is always a slow slow starter, which in my opinion has not been helped this season by Scott dropping the EL. I can understand his reasoning, but to drop the league he was strongest in was a mistake, but I feel he became disillusioned with the EL with the whole Bees team selection saga last year. Scoots G.P season last year didnt really kick off until Cardiff, and I fully expect that could be the case this year as well. I agree with Andy M's post that it could well be a mental thing, as we've all seen Scotty can be amongst the top performers in the G.P. He has made several finals, which shows he has the talent, but never won one, which shows the mental issue could possibly be what is hampering him. Scott, when on top form, is by far Englands best rider, and I for one hope this issue can be sorted, as it was not nice to see him struggling on Saturday

bet 365, sky bet, laddies, willy hills, coral. The list goes on. Odds dont normally appear until thursdayish though
  10. My pre meeting entertainment will be the all-inclusive in my hotel in Egypt. First time I'm missing Cardiff this year, can't say I'm that fussed either
  11. Right then ladies and gentlemen, after the unfotunate news that Steve is not running his poppular GP game I have taken it upon myself to run one for everyone to compete in. I am trying to keep the rules as simple as possible, basically every entrant gets $200,000 (trying to keep it topical) to spend on 5 riders for their team. Each rider will then score their G.P points - Plus a bonus 5 points if they win the G.P - However you can select a captain, who will get you double points for every meeting that they are captain in. You will only be able to change your teams in the official transfer windows, which will be between the Copenhagen and Cardiff G.P's, and then between then between the Latvian and Bydgoszcz G.P's. However you can change your captain every round if you so desire. If you want anything else explaining please feel free to contact me on here by PM. The Riders and prices are as follows : 1 Nicki PEDERSEN DENMARK $60,000 2 Leigh ADAMS AUSTRALIA $50,000 3 Jason CRUMP AUSTRALIA $50,000 4 Tomasz GOLLOB POLAND $45,000 5 Hans ANDERSEN DENMARK $40,000 6 Greg HANCOCK USA $40,000 7 Rune HOLTA POLAND $30,000 8 Scott NICHOLLS GREAT BRITAIN $35,000 9 Chris HARRIS GREAT BRITAIN $35,000 10 Andreas JONSSON SWEDEN $40,000 11 Bjarne PEDERSEN DENMARK $35,000 12 Niels KRISTIAN IVERSEN DENMARK $25,000 13 Lukas DRYML CZECH REPUBLIC $20,000 14 Krzysztof KASPRZAK POLAND $30,000 15 Frederik LINDGREN SWEDEN $30,000 16 WILD CARD $30,000 ***STANDINGS AFTER BYDGOSZCZ*** Position Name Score 1 Diamond Exile 760 2 muttermaus 748 3 buzzybee 738 4 GLS diamond 724 5 ZKZ Kitten 720 6 Sky Blue Bee 716 7 BritPete 713 8 Shalewhale 707 8 Lis 707 10 Seb The Snail 702 11 Joanne 699 11 Chris26 699 13 highside 698 14 Miguelcom 697 14 pug/206 697 16 Beesboybert 696 17 ballinger 694 17 J D 694 19 lucifer sam 692 20 mimi 690 20 Brummie Kev 690 20 BUDGIE 690 23 Incognito 687 24 Aussie 685 25 T.N.T 684 26 Shropshire Lass 681 27 Blazeaway 680 28 Steve Turner 679 29 Drakey 678 29 Laser558 678 31 Scott0311 677 32 falcace 675 33 Nikkif 674 34 Cougar Pirate 673 35 creetingblue 671 36 Vic Ridgeon 669 37 beercellar 667 38 Schumi 664 39 Orion 663 40 Marron 662 40 teesidepaul 662 40 paulco 662 40 Cockney Pirate 662 44 Mateusz 661 45 full-throttle 660 46 Ooh Beehave 658 47 MattyHart 657 48 SCB 656 49 Rico 652 49 Spunko 652 51 Meximan 651 52 Kev78 650 52 Witches Vs Hammers 650 52 cov bees 2005 650 52 Brummie Boy 650 52 sportsnut 650 52 Col 650 58 skitts61 649 59 Gross / Nana 647 59 Jo 1515 647 59 KevtheRev 647 59 Superstar1 647 59 Sandie 647 59 Double 0 647 65 witches forever 646 66 CrazyMadTom 645 67 I support no team 644 68 Peter 639 69 smiles 638 70 davidadam 637 71 Saint Rob 634 72 Baille 631 73 Jacques 627 74 home straight 624 75 TNT's Short Fuses 614 76 seanrobborobson 613 77 Strop 610 78 mckenna 609 79 Dutch Grasstrack 608 79 Crazysue 608 79 Tony Davies 608 82 Sccoter 605 83 Hazzman 602 84 Sonic 599 84 pedropete 599 84 garf 599 87 M08 597 88 Silver Bee 592 88 Paddy the Rebel 592 88 dump that clutch 592 91 Concrete Cowboy 589 92 f-s-p 583 93 21st Century Heathen 579 94 Martin Mckeown 530

    2008 Grand Prix Competition

I wont have the time to run this this year unfortunately. Must say I didnt really expect as many people to join when I started it! So If Ballinger wants to run it then feel free Pete. Just remember to back everything up as I didnt and havent had time to work out the final standings from last year!

Boys, blame Sky Blue Bee for not getting his finger out and getting the computer sorted! If it can be rescued then I shall post my final results.

    Scott Nicholls

Even though if Scott qualified in the top 8 then it would have strengthened bombers case for a nomination?

    Gelsenkirchen Off !

Farcical! The cynic in me half expects Gollob to be retiring and it to be his last G.P hence the move to Bydgoszcz.
  20. I have to say that after last years snoozefest I'm not too bothered if it is the last Gelsenkirchen G.P. The track is far too narrow in my opinion.

    2008 Grand Prix Competition

Updated after Lonigo Seeing as saturday is the last G.P of the season ALL RIDERS, not just your captains, will have their score doubled, along with a bonus 10 points going to the winner of the super prix

    E L R C -

Well if I can find any odds on this then there is no doubt my money will be on Adams! Should be a breeze for him!

    E L R C -

I imagine Nicholls isn't riding as he originally pulled out of the meeting to concentrate on his G.P results, and with just a few days before what could arguably be the biggest meeting of his career (needing to get in the top 8) I would be very suprised if he turned round and wanted to ride.
