    Peter Collins Book

ordered mine and had this e-mail: Hope you are keeping well. Thank you for pre-ordering the Peter Collin’s autobiography. Apologies the book will not be published until next month and the slight delay has been caused by the fact that we have added considerably more content (resulting in more pages) in terms of words and photographs – many only becoming available very recently. (It’s amazing what PC has uncovered!). We now hope and expect to be posting the book – signed by PC – before the end of October. Very sorry for the wait. Many thanks for your patience and understanding. We believe the wait will be well worthwhile.
  2. BIRMINGHAM and Cradley will attempt to do battle once again on Wednesday (September 14, 7.30) with the restaging of the Alan Grahame Memorial. The West Midlands rivals were originally meant to meet last Wednesday, before the fixture was pulled on the same afternoon due to a waterlogged track. But the season finale is now all set with two balanced, competitive line-ups.The Curtis Sport Brummies include both of their fit regular riders in Justin Sedgmen and James Pearson and are led by Josh Pickering who has been a Perry Barr crowd pleaser on numerous occasions this term as a guest booking. They also include 2015/16 National League winner Jack Smith at reserve with rising American star Dillon Ruml the new addition to their line-up from the original sides.Former Birmingham captain Tom Perry will be back on a bike for the first time in three years - but will be in the Heathens’ camp having begun his career with the former Dudley Wood outfit back in 2010.Former British Under-21 Champion Tom Brennan also rides for the visitors with fans’ favourite Max Clegg their only new face after being unavailable last week.Season Ticket holders and Advanced ten ticket holders are reminded that general admission prices apply - UNLESS they didn’t use their tickets for the Coventry challenge fixture at Perry Barr last month.BIRMINGHAM: Josh Pickering, Dillon Ruml, James Wright, Simon Lambert, Justin Sedgmen, Jack Smith, James Pearson.CRADLEY: Ryan Douglas, Max Clegg, Tom Brennan, Adam Roynon, Paul Starke, Tom Spencer, Tom Perry.

    Birmingham Brummies 2022

it was a challenge match to honour and remember Alan Grahame . Starke was a late withdrawal being unfit after his crash last week so R/R was on]y option and being a challenge no averages were used in what was a good entertaining meeting with a good crowd.
  4. Paul Starke was injured last week and was due to make his comeback for this meeting but had to pull out late as not fit enough to race . A good entertaining meeting with a good crowd to honour and remember Alan Grahame

WOLF CUBS BACK ON TOP OF MSDL The PARRY'S INTERNATIONAL Wolf Cubs regain top position in the 2022 MSDL with a 19-15 victory at Iwade over the Sittingbourne Crusaders. The Wolf Cubs lost guest Jacob Fellows in the preceding National League clash with a broken leg. With Sam Woolley also out they were down to two riders. The home side four riders' names were put in a hat and drawn out with James Laker moving sides for the clash. The Crusader's captain was unbeaten in his four rides to notch a full 12 point maximum ! With Jamie Sealey winning two rides before a final heat crash causing extensive bike damage , this was sufficient to secure a win for Wolverhampton. The league title will be decided at Iwade with Birmingham Bulls due there twice. Brummies v Bandits 10/08

the interval is normally 10 minutes. With the heat more track work and watering was needed so an extra few minutes was allowed --- not 20 mins of interval .

Birmingham v Coventry Select Wed 17th Aug

depends what weather forecast you look at . Met office gives a 50% chance of some rain at 10am which helps with watering then rest of day a 20% chance of rain !! Metcheck shows 0.1 mm of rain till 1pm!! so please don't put people off going !! BBC Weather is notoriously wrong anyway . This is a night for Coventry fans to see a Bees team back on track for one night and hopefully many will travel the short distance up the M6 to Perry Barr

  20. Already announced as starters for 2023 ... as for guests what else can be done with 4 injured and 1 banned ??
  21. just read it and I don't think it reads that way. Just stating the facts that any cancellation would be up to Poole and that Poole would have preferred a full strength Brummies side --which they would too . In the end the team that represented them was under strength but never gave up and did the club proud producing some exciting racing and a total walkover some expected ,
  22. and they saw some good speedway from a makeshift team that was unavoidable ... as for the line-up being Thursday afternoon --the original line-up was sent on time but Birmingham lost 2 riders with injury on Wednesday night and spent hours finding late guests which they did --- how could they have given a revised line-up any earlier ??? Taking into account other fixtures that night, riders out injured, Speedway of Nations taking some away , time off work at short notice all credit to the lads who stepped forward to ride --and give Poole a tough battle.
  23. really??? where do you get your information from?? Birmingham worked tirelessly to get riders to fill in for INJURED riders etc ... and those who rode for the Brummies gave it a great go and gave the fans some good racing to watch
