  1. Did no one read the newspaper article then? It clearly states that Kennett will no longer be doubling up - so how is the Swindon team illegal? Maybe someone should tell Berwick

Maybe they should as he rode tonight, but as the only contract that the BSPA recognise is for the whole of the season so there is no way that Swindon can stop him riding for Berwick until they don't want him. Unless Kennett refuses to ride for them and then it will be an all leagues ban.

  2. Steve Macdonald is having a practice this week at Berwick, so Eddy Kennett wont be in the prem league anymore I'm guessing.

But he is at the moment therefore Swindon can not re-declare.

Also it has been said that Ricky will not be ready to cme back for a couple of weeks.

Edward Kennett’s future as a Bandit will also become clearer over the next few weeks.

“As is pretty well known, Edward agreed to race for our club as a direct replacement for Ricky Ashworth,” explained team manager Ian Rae.

“We agreed with Swindon, with whom he rides in the Elite League, that he would stay on as a Bandit until Ricky was cleared to ride and had got in some solid practice sessions to see how he feels, and could declare himself fully fit again.

“This situation has not changed, but in the interests of total clarity, I would confirm that Ricky was last week finally cleared by the neurological and medical authorities to resume riding a motor-bike.

“However, he is by his own admission a long, long way from being race-fit, and is intending to go to as many circuits he can over the next couple of weeks – he has ridden out at Stoke already -- to try himself out on track, to get totally fit again and to ensure he feels comfortable in himself about coming back.

“Then, and only then, will Ricky be able to feel confident enough to offer himself to Berwick again – and at that time we will let everyone know the situation. Not before!

“In the meantime, everyone here at Shielfield is just so proud to have Edward Kennett in our colours, and now named in Britain’s World Team Cup squad – which is yet another first for the club, as we’ve never previously had a British WTC rider in our team.”

  3. I don't know what team was declared against Coventry as it was rained off so I didn't get programme. The only declarations I am aware of are published on the GSA's which as far as I am aware show the declared team as being within the rules. I don't know about Darcy Ward 3 years ago but as far as I can see the team appears to comply with the 2013 rules. If not no doubt Gary Havelock will have something to say.

Well no doubt you will be able to look at the programme on Monday night then as it will be the same one.

Do you also think that Lakeside are talking a load of rubbish in their press releases then.

Also where is issue 11 of the declared team sheets on the BSPA site

  4. No, that only applies to d/u in the 1-7 not a guest, so Adam can be used as a guest for Rob or Richard.

So you are admitting that you declared an illegal team for the rain off against Coventry then.

Also why was Darcy Ward not allowed to guest for anyone in the Elite League until he achieved a CMA in the PL.

  5. 1. Unlike Belle Vue, Poole and Peterboro, Lakeside have got the Met Office to back up their postponement of the Coventry match unless you can point to any met report that suggests it was not tipping it down last Friday and the day before.

    2. No reason why Rob should not be riding when there is no clash with Rye House fixtures. Don't forget Richard Lawson is also a d/u and he will have some fixture clashes when Adam will cover. Perfectly within the rules for a PL guest to cover for an absent d/ u rider.

Yes providing that the PL rider has a CMA which Adam Ellis does not.

Yes it is just about within the rules except for using Adam Ellis but now you can see what the plans were for Richie Worrall and why he told John Cook where to go.

  6. Thats what i thought as they are over limit. Can anybody explain?

    Yes. Lakeside cheating again.

But Rob Mear was replaced by Adam Ellis so that Seb fitted into the team. Therefore they can't now bring Rob back as his average is higher than Adams so they have got to redeclare totally which puts them over the limit whether on May's or June's averages. (43.43 according to Figures just released)

  7. There's clearly no excuse for Saifudinov to not ride. Not only is he sticking two fingers up at his own country and BSI but he is also doing it to every fan who turns up at Kings Lynn tonight expecting to see him ride. Totally unacceptable and a years ban from international speedway is the only way to deal with such riders. He has no excuse as he was in the country riding for Coventry. £30 of diesel should cover his travelling expenses. hasn't he got digs over here when riding for Coventry?

Steve, You really are making yourself look stupid on here with your pathetic attempts at a wind-up.

Last rode for Coventry on the 6th July riding next on the 18th July. Why would he be in Britain.

Also why don't BSI pay the riders direct and not give any money to the Russian Federation.

Time to put you on ignore I think, as your posts have gone from being a good source for banter to just pathetic.

  8. The ones making money out of the competition should pay surely?

Yes. But the Russian Federation are expecting the Russian Clubs to pay for their riders to compete in the World Cup.

They haven't helped the Laguta brothers with their Visa's either saying that it is down to the riders to obtain them which would entail them giving up their passports for 6-8 weeks. Now you can see why Emil has a Polish passport.

  9. Like others, hugely disappointed by the calamities that have befallen the Russuan team but one question...

There's this revised line-up of four riders and a fifth place to be filled.

As there seems (and I've no idea why it's an issue - seems to me Russian sportsmen travelling here should be a totally straightforward matter...) to be this visa issue, surely the ONLY person who could fill that fifth spot is Sayfutdinov... So are we definitely facing the prospect of a one man short team in this most important of meetings..?

For the life of me I just can't fathom how a young rider like Sayfutdinov can opt out of this..

And certainly if he does he MUST be banned from the next meeting.

So you would be prepared to pay for all your own travel expenses, hotel costs etc.
