World U21 Final 3rd October Gorican
tom.hare replied to racers and royals's topic in International World of Speedway
At Gorican - nailed on to be Pavlic. Looks like a great line-up though! -
Tidy post Parsloes

Agree with everything said in this post. Scotty is much more entertaining than half the riders in the series whether he is a Brit or not. No way BSI would allow the series to have no Brits in. I wouldn't be surprised if Bomber got a nomination as well as Nicholls. After all, he might not have had a great year this year but he is still young and has shown in the past he can cut it at this level. Holder, Sajfutdinov (sic), Woffinden etc are all very exciting young riders but aren't finished articles by a long shot. Lindback, Lindgren, Zagar...all given nominations as young up-and-comers and didn't really set the world on fire.

Andreas Jonsson To Boycott World Cup Next Season
tom.hare replied to Ghostwalker's topic in International World of Speedway
Was going to say, where or when did Jonsson actually say he wanted to ride for Poland? Seems to me that he is annoyed with the Swedish authorities at fining him for not riding in what he considered dangerous conditions (fair enough) and that he coincidentally is applying for Polish citizenship for business reasons and the journalists writing these articles are putting two and two together and making five. -
Exactly what I was thinking. I don't think any of these three riders would be an automatic pick for their respective national championships. Definately a weakened field but Janniro showed the dedication flying back over to America to compete in the rounds so good on him and well done.

Weymouth Wildcats Press Release
tom.hare replied to jules m's topic in Youth Speedway and Development Leagues
Seen Marc Owen on a 250cc at Mildenhall two or three times this season and he has looked very impressive. Good to see he has made the transition to 500cc well. Hopefully one to watch in the Conference League in a couple of years. -
The Big Bang 2
tom.hare replied to Damon's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
Correct, was announced tonight. They will have Jon Armstrong, James Brundle, Carl Wilkinson and Lewis Bridger in their team. Not a bad replacement at all. -
Antonio Lindbäck Has Decided To Quit His Career

Something about a drink drive ban effecting his season?! Can a bonafide Swede give a decent translation please? -
Scorecard anyone?

Remaining Sponsorship For Shaun Tacey Testimonial
tom.hare replied to Main Man's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
Have to apologise about the site. I've just started a new job and have also been on holiday for the past two weeks so other duties have taken priorities including other testimonial stuff. I've now totally downsized the site for the rest of the season and all the testimonial info is being transferred over as we speak. Thanks Tom -

World U21 Qualifier (sheffield).
tom.hare replied to Rob S.'s topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
have to agree about Barker but it's probably because he's the best available. What about Ed Kennett? He reached the Final last year and I think he deserves a second chance this year after a poor meeting at Kings Lynn. -
World U21 Qualifier (sheffield).
tom.hare replied to Rob S.'s topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
looks good for the Brits in this one i'd say. If it's 8 through and a reserve i'd say Holder, Boxall (if he's fit), Tressarieu, Miedzinski, Batchelor, Bridger, Zabik and Wright in no particular order with Legault as the winner. Wright could struggle as I don't think he goes well at Sheffield and he looked well off the pace at Lynn last week. I don't know anything about Marat Gatiyatov, Rene Van Weele, Martin Vaculik or Ruslan Gatiyatov apart from that they've been in World U-21 qualifiers before Andrew Alridge (2006 New Zealand U-21 Champion), Skyler Greyson (2005 US U-21 Champion) and Hynek Stichauer (Top performer in Czech League) seem to have some pedigree but I'd fancy the riders listed at the top. I will most likely be totally wrong though and the unknowns will storm it! EDIT: Anyone know what happened to Andreas Messing and Leon Madsen this year? -
