  1. Unfortunately I don't believe the chiefs:indians ratio is any different this year

    Next Winter Meeting

If there is another winter meeting then I think they should hold it at Poole because they do the all time best winter meetings (even better than if Carlsberg did winter speedway meetings )
  3. The racing is going to be really 'interesting' if they are going to have runts on the track
  4. I can see why you got shipped out to Oz mate - your jokes are criminal
  5. Seems like a fair trade especially if you like sea food

    P.l.r.c

I thought I read somewhere that Chris Schramm was a meeting reserve, which means that Newport could also do a one and two (in theory )

    P.l.r.c

A lager tour is coming up from deepest South Wales. I'm sure I have heard you-know-who talk favorably of the drinking facilities at Blunsdon, although I doubt there will be any of the 'heavy' stuff there
  8. Go the Glasgow boys (especially Wato) - Nothing better than winning in your biggest rival's backyard

    Daily Mail Report

Great Article. Best report in a national newspaper for many a year IMO.
  10. You want to be careful that none of the Elite League GP stars see those pictures - they'd s**t themselves
  11. I'm sure all the supporters at Newport (including myself) wish our boy Joel Parsons the best of luck at the U21 championships

    500cc And U15's

Having listened to the comments of two young riders I would be inclined to agree with Tim Webster and Ben Powell. 500cc does seem to be a lot of HP for a someone less than 15 years old and 7st to handle. I thought I was the dogs b*ll*cks when I bought an RD250LC at the tender age of 16, but when I consider there are 13 year old boys riding 500cc racing machines my mind boggles. I can appreciate you need a certain amount of HP to get the rear wheel spinning and hence the bike turning, but in reality how much throttle do the younger riders really use? Perhaps a 250cc or 350cc class would be good for youth rider development. After all youth grasstrack riders use 125cc bikes up to 15 years of age (I think).
