I'd imagine if you around the back to the pits entrance you'd probably be able to gain access that way if the main turnstiles are shut due to being late..? -

Good to see that Banks has recovered from being "injured practicing in Germany".. No need to draft in a track expert as a Guest tonight then.. -
Kent Kings V Coventry Storm Koc 11/05
Blackbird replied to blueherb777's topic in National League Speedway
Greenwood's not the Storm's number one so a 'guest' is in fact not an option -
They'll be no 'guests' as that facility only available for a missing number one or if two or more heat leaders are out including the no. 1 So R/R for the Kings and that will certainly weaken them considerably. Looks like the FTs may have replaced Rumsey with Laurence who it might have been thought would be considered by Kent if their three pointers didn't improve., Verge certainly did improve on Monday so hopefully Danno will at least look on the pace in this one.. Rumsey to Kent possibly?

The problem with the average argument is that because the team points limit is 36 you can actually LOSE every match and yet the average not fall. Riders arounfd the 4 and 5 mark are likely to see those averages remain steady and even if three pointers turn out to be utterly pants in terms of scoring they can't dip below 3 whatever. So unless teams get roundly wiped out (scoring considerably less than 30 every match) there's no chance of averages ducking down total wise to fit someone like Bren in. I can't see why they couldn't have brought in a rule whereby if someone's average is actually 2 or less it shows as 2 not 3..?
-
Okay but you can't realistically expect the 'three pointers' in Kent's ranks to be left out of this meeting - god knows they need more track time and the way this meeting is designed is ideal for getting that in a competitive setting.

Am surprised with the comments by some about the Pairs. With a 12 rider field it's obvious that the home squad of 8 (assuming Berwick is now in the field to become the no. 8 or indeed one of the reserves) were all going to feature and that leaves just four other spaces. Those 4 include two riders who last year were good enough to receive call-ups to the Elite League FT draft in Johnson and Ritchings, a PL rider in Chapman, and Banks who gets the pick because of his family connection with Crayford. Not sure how that constitutes a very weak field?

Well no rule was 'broken' because the League Co-ordinator allowed this but that's not to say it wasn't against the rules because it was! And as has been pointed out the rule (when applied to the IoWand Bekker) HAD been enforced before. Why it it? Because more people go to Stocks and Bangers' meetings..! Your point being..?

ha,ha - anyone think Mason who doesnt ride Arlington well wont be fit for Monday at the track he rides best in the UK?

The Speedway Star review of the Stags season last year in this weeks edition shows that Liam Sanderson rode ten matches with a final average of 1.22. Bearing in mind that the weak nature of their side actually had the effect of inflkating some averages Arron Mogridge at 4.79 for example, the 1.22 from ten is pretty disappointing 19 rides away from home and just a solitary point is another alarming stat. It could be he improves massively but his first season in the NL has to be regarded surely as a huge disappointment.

Two Open Meetings actually at the City Way Stadium? In 1969? Is that right? I thought Planning consent was never actually given meaning no home meetings were ever held?
