  3. but you got something Jayne.. and that was with over 1000 people there.. better than getting nothing darren
  4. it wasnt you that said it mate.. so no need to apologies.. darren
  5. what was the crowd like.. i have heard 500'ish.. so no team will get any money from that then.. great shared event.. at plymouth it would have been 3 times that.. and that would just be the plymouth crowd so i would say with travelling fans up around 2000.. and i think plymouth has one of the best safety records there is.. so the air fence remark is needless.. and last year we got the whole meeting done in our allotted time and we have a curfew.. in fact we had time spare.. ohh well.. well done weymouth darren
  6. i doubt they will get a turn out like what would have been at plymouth..somewhere near 1800 as per last year. but hey ho hope everyone has a safe meeting darren

    Cl Fours

nope .. I have heard rumours but that is as far as it gets.. I still think and it isnt because it is my home track Plymouth would be the best bet.. Massive crowds.. due to be on a Saturday night means teams actually making money from it.. there wont be another site that could do that due to the site's costs etc and spectators being there.. we could guarantee our home crowd of 1200+ and then travelling support would far out number any other venue. I would say tell the BSPA to pay the riders more fuel money out of the proceeds from the event problem solved then.. but hey it isnt my choice at the end of the day.. the day to run is a logistical nightmare.. 32 riders... means 32 vans.. parking and pit space is a nightmare Darren

the biggest problem with training tracks in the UK is they dont take priority and the great british weather usually destroys it lol no bad weather in spain lol darren

have a think about it really. you travel to workington i would say that costs you a fair bit on fuel etc.. to do a few laps or have a holiday in the sun and ride speedway all day every day. A friend of mine owns the motocross track in tenerife and he gets people flying over all the time for holidays and they ride all day long and it doesn't cost alot. when i found out about it i thought what a good idea. darren

well would you rather do that to get a lap or have a week in the sun and race speedway all day long ? I would imagine it isnt meant as a full fixture running track just a place to have a training holiday. i know which one i would rather have. darren

  14. i have heard branney has broken his leg in 4 places... 3 in the lower part and once near the top of his leg.. his hand isnt in good condition either.. information come from david howes dad after the meeting.. david needs a fair few stitches in his foot.. he was caught under the rear guard they needed to take the rear wheel off to get his foot out.. once they took the wheel off he went white and nearly passed out he needed oxygen.. branney's crash had to be the worst crash i have seen in a long long while.. never heard a thud like it.. i wish him a safe and speedy recovery. darren
  15. Hi Philk i am glad you enjoyed your visit to plymouth. we hope to see you again soon next time come over and say hello. the pace was pretty much set by myself the clerk of the course and he ref before the meeting.....again i must thank the riders which made my job one hell of alot easier as the pit marshall by getting ready quickly.. it was nice to meet a few new faces from around the teams. i would like to comment over the last heat but i dont want another war of words on this forum like i have had with a certain team's forum user's on my own. but if you would like to read the weymouth site it seems they see there CL clash in very much the same vein.. see you all in the league.. darren
